After seeing the gradual decline in the manga thread I have decided to trial a new format for discussing the latest releases of Negima. If you wish to discuss the latest RAW feel free to do so in this thread. If you wish to discuss theories or scenarios please post in this thread (link to be coming soon).

This will also be good to prevent the scanlation-reading people from being spoiled, which would be nice considering we're supposed to be all about the scanlations here.

Some comments from our last raw... some may have been already answered, but between the hundreds of posts predicting the future I didn't find the answers...


1) Did Negi really got his arm cut?
2) Was it regrown? Reattached? A new one?
3) Was Ako wearing the same clothes as the date with 'Nagi' during the festival?

Its probably something that they meant to fix later, but forgot or couldn't because of deadlines, so it's actually the same outfit.

the front logo was covered by the towel Ako was holding in her hand, (in both shots) so it is the same, you could say that Ken was lazy that the towel shouldn't cover the entire logo in the first panel, but I don't see any correction is needed.

yes, Ako was towel off/body wipe Negi while he was naked and unconscious, the second time after Chachamaru done it first.

if this keep going I don't see Negi's virginity to last much longer. god help Negi if he is in the same situation with Misa or Haruna,

so can Negi, as a ten years old kid, "do it" with the age deception pill?

you see the problem of the pill? no amounts of weird theory we fans come up can cover them all. no wonder Ken hasn't address it. if this keep going I doubt he ever would.

I feel that if you've lived somewhere most of your life, then you're at least partly from that country. Negi's old village was destroyed when he was still very young, after all.
Anyway, I don't recall it stating whether his original home was in Wales or England...

Now that Setsuna and Asuna have turned up in the latest raw (hopefully to be released soon), assuming they join up with Chachamaru, will they also be using the age pills? If so, I vote that they use the older pills so we get the adult version of these 2 fine looking girls. THe last thing I'd want to see is ALL our girls becoming lolis. Some is okay, but not all.

In any case, considering the combat potential of those 2, I really want to see them put the hurt on someone. We need a low level bad guy for them to beat on.

Well, they DO need to use one of those pills... they have bounties on their heads as well...

Chibi Asuna... cute too. But I think some bad guy would be able to recognize her (one of her former kidnappers, that is)

But now ? Are you sure? Maybe he should wait until they get out of the bath, just so he can try to have a chance. Any male who appears in a situation where female leads are bathing is dead meat. Any female character in that situation is an invincible monster. (Just ask Negi's Mr. Negi!) I think even Fate would be beaned with a rock or wash-tub before he knew what hit him! (Kyoto doesn't count. The girls weren't naked.)

Now if it was a female enemy who appeared, then all bets are off! CATFIGHT!

How about when Ako, Akira and Yuuna were bathing? Though I suppose if the attacker's another girl, it doesn't count...
But Negi beat them afterwards.

Wow. These teaser pics leave me speechless. I think the blood stopped going to my brain for like a minute when I saw the wings. I wish I could make out the dialogue. I can't really see the kanji.

Now that I think of it, I've never had much interest in Asuna, but seeing both girls there gave me a nosebleed for real. The only other time that happened was in Vol. 4...

I have missed this side of Setsuna. Not since Vol. 4 has she been portrayed so well.

no no, the manga time is around September 2003, (if one day in magic world equal to one day in real world. approx 21 days had passed, and I am not sure about that.)

instead, chapter 200 is officially released on January 16th, just one day off Setsuna's birthday.

Just when things were getting interesting with Negi, we get a curb ball and get thrown back to a group of girls that were given up for dead a few weeks ago. Personally, I hope they just have a few pages of the girls, just to remind us they're alive and are still part of the plot, and go back to Negi and co.

Seeing Se-chan will be great.
I believe it is only a small teaser of what is to come... and the other 'lost' characters won't be back for a pair or more volumes (hopefully)

I'm surprised about seeing Asuna again so soon and ESPECIALLY Setsuna (I was expecting Haruna or Nodoka). I guess can't do a volume without them Asuna and Setsuna.

Can't wait to see the full chapter now! (though I think naked Setsuna may have something to do with the popularity poll results, though that's just me)

Anybody else notice that Setsuna's developed a little? Which makes me wonder what other discreet growth changes Ken has done with the other girls.
