Negima dream tactics PS2

This is the 5th and latest Negima PS2 game. I have NOT completed this game.

People who have played the DS games will be familiar with the gameplay of this game(its not exactly the same though)

This is pretty much the story of the game(qouted from a site):

Whilst exploring the school library, The Library trio find an old and mysterious tome. After flipping the volume open, strange rays of light emanate from the pages and the students are enchanted and eventually fall asleep. Deep in slumber in the physical world, the girls are trapped in a dreamland and must escape from their predicament by way of tactical battles and interaction. A total of eight missions must be conquered before the gals are free to escape.


The eight missions are based on the Fairy tales:
1)Cinderella
2)Red riding hood
3)Princess and the pea
4)Chinese tale monkey Goku(This fairy tale is where Goku from DBZ originated from)
5)Moon princess(japanese fairy tale)
6)Snow white
7)The little mermaid
8) Final battle

Now heres a spoiler just for you lot, from yours truly.

The tome(book) that the library trio find belongs to Albeiro Imma, our friendly neigborhood Ku:Nel Sanders(Cernal Sanders in aquaster scans).
And not only that.

Albeiro Imma makes his debut out of the manga on the PS2.
Thats right everyone, Albeiro has a scene in the game where he congradulates you for beating the final boss. And his voice is just what I had imagined.


Not only that Sakura Mei, Takane D. Goodman and Adult Evangeline appear as level bosses and are available to play as.
And for those wondering, yes Takane gets stripped to her underwear when you beat her.

Also Winged Setsuna(in the outfit she wore when she fought Evangeline in the resort, in the mahora tournament) is available to play as.



I mentioned before that I didnt completely beat the game.
I am still missing the final CG.

I have found a pic of the CG on the net but I have almost no idea on how to get it in the game. Can someone please help.

Actually, I've seen a video from the game on Youtube at which after Negi is sneezed by Chamo, Asuna suddenly finds herself wearing her swimsuit. The resulting CG that comes out after it shows Asuna wearing the same swimsuit she wears as in the Doki Doki Beachside game (complete with glass slippers).

Does this situation apply to the other students as well?

Yep, It took me months to find them all. I knew about Asuna`s through that youtube link.

You saw how you have different options as Negi.

There are 3 different methods to get CG`s

1)Sneeze on them.
2)Sneeze but fail
3)use sneeze on enemy while girl is next to the enemy and water.

There are 2 conditions to get the CG`s using these 3 methods.

1)AP of the said character must have their AP between 60-90.
2)The character must be in a particular stage to get the CG.


To give you an idea on how difficult this is.

There are 16 different stages and 31 girls who you have no idea which stage has their CG.
There are enemies surrounding and trying to kill you.

You have no friggin idea what I had to go through to find them all.

Um - how about using an emulator?
Never tried - never will - but a screen cap on a PC is pretty easy to do ...

Edit: hmm - oh well - looks like there are no working PS2 emulators

Looking at the pic, it just made me realize that some of the CG's from all the Negima PS2 games were loosely based on some of the Negima manga illustrations...

Hmm if it's the last CG and has all the girls in dresses, maybe it involves the Cinderella stage since the story involves a massive ball? That or a super insane method of beating final boss? Maybe equipping all the girls with dresses and then beating final boss with only those dresses and their related items equipped? Need more info on outfits and such to make a good guess though.

I DONOT USE CHEAT DEVICES FOR GAMES!!! I`ll use a special code or whatever but no outside elecronic help.

You can only equip weapons to the charcters not clothes.

The only clues I have based on the CG`s image is:

That everyone`s wedding points go to 9,999. But that would take months(NOT EXATTERATING).

2)Have everyone beat the final boss. In other words beat the story mode 31 times.I have finished the game a couple of times but I forgot who I killed the boss with.

3)Through all 8 missions have everyone play the main role of the story(beat the story 6 times).


These are my theories.


Seriously, can all of you help me find me some site that tells how to unlock this CG.

I`m sure you guys have heard of gamespot, gamefaqs and IGN.
There must be some japanese game site where someone posted a walkthrough.

As you can tell the guy who made the site is an Asuna fan. He`s posted Every CG in all Negima games GBA,DS,WII,PS2 featuring Asuna.

You can translate a site into english by:
1) copying its address.
2)paste it on google and google search the address.
3)Next to the site will be a link called "Translate this page"

Oh you can pick either Chachamaru,Evangeline, Yue or Nodoka as the main role for the Little mermaid stage.

And theres a scene where depending who you choose to play the mermaid role, the character will turn into a mermaid.

Nodoka`s expression when her legs turned into a tail and fell to the ground was cute and funny.

Stage 3 I believe is the Princess and the Pea.

I`m almost done checking if my theory no.3 works.

Wow. I haven't seen that many prom dresses since... well, my prom.

Okay, I beat Takane's levels, but she's not available for selection in Adult Eva's stages. No Strip picture either.

To have Takane as an available character in the free battle do the following:

When you start free battle and you`re at the character selection screen, press the following:
Takane D. Goodman:
Hold L2 at all times

up, down, triangle, X, left, circle, right, square.

Adult Evangeleine

Defeat 5 different stages as Adult Evangeline as the boss. Then at the character select screen highlight Evangeline, hold select then press circle.


Winged Setsuna(in the outfit she wore while fighting Eva in the dream during Mahora tournament).

Have Negima Jinkame 3(4th negima ps2 game) game data in memory card. highlight Setsuna hold select, then press circle.

I've figured out most of the basics through trial and error, but what's driving me nuts is I still can't figure out what stat boosts character special attacks.

All of the non-fighters only do 2 damage when using a special no matter how high their regular attack is.

Also, AP and DP, no idea how this is working to figure out who gets the wedding dress.

Sometimes its a character that didn't do a lot of battle, sometimes its the one who killed the most, can't tell if the accrued AP in battle is related because the totals don't match.

And what do support characters do? I know they raise the bullhorn stat, but I have no idea what its for, other then it seems related to the relationship between the girls.

Hata, D.Nodoka is from the first game, this is the 5th game.

Non offensive characters like Nodoka and Yue can have a strong attack by customizing before a battle.

Personally I make their defences 35-50 and their attack 19-30.
Chisame and the cheerleader trio have the ability to increase attack and defence.

You will go through a girls wedding scene depending on who has the most wedding points in the end of a battle. By wedding points I mean the total amount of AP and DP.

I`m pretty sure you know how to increase a girls AP. As for DP, I`m guessing the more active a character is the more DP they`ll get.

What do you mean by support characters?


I should tell you to try to make sure that the AP of every character is at its highest. Its my theory that to get the final CG you must either have one or all the girls to have 9,999 wedding points.


Oh, I should tell you that I have unlocked all CG`s in the game except for the final ending.

Damage

Normal Attacks - 20+2(Your Atk- Enemy Def) Give or take a bit
Special Attack 1- 30+2(Your Atk- Enemy Def)

Accuracy - 95%-(Enemy evasion x 5%)

Evasion is the Foot in your status bar. Usually a base of 2. So most characters will have a accuracy of 85% on normal attacks. Need 19 points to reduce accuracy to 0%.

Bullhorn stat = Critical hit %
Shield = Defense
Foot = Evade

Finally an experiencd dream tactic player appears.

I disagree with Nodoka and some others being useless. Nodoka`s special is decent.
It depends on how you customize your characters.

I am aware that some CG`s take 2 spaces. When I found this I assumed that this is the one I`m missing.


The only ideas on how to unlock is to:
1)Have all 31 girls beat the final black dress boss. In other words beat the story 31 times.

2)Have one or all girls have 9,999 wedding points.


Can you please tell me how to unlock this CG. When I do I will have officially beaten the game.

Gotta admit though once you find the power that is some of the characters most of the others are useless

My favourite team is Ku,Eva,Setsuna,Kaede,Satsuki,Takane,Mei & Zazie.

I haven't unlocked that CG either but I believe it would be the get 1 girl to 9,999 points method. The other just seems too stupid.

9,999 points seems more logical & it gives the total points a meaning.

I haven't played this game in like over 10 months.

& you will have beaten the game until you get all girls to 9,999 points

My combat team is Winged-Setsuna, Chizuru,Adult Eva,Kufei, Mana, Chao, Chachamaru and Kaede.

I add Haruna to the team nearly all the time. Her special to increase AP by 50 will hopefully bring my wedding points up.

Out of my 31, the girl with the most wedding points is Haruna with a whopping 6,000 or so.

Unlocked story mode pics, one mini wedding scene pic with Asuna/Nodoka/Ayaka, haven't unlocked any of the disrobes or the Takane pic.

Have you unlocked both the Setsuna and Konoka CG`s from the moon princess level, you get either depending on who you choose as leader for that level.

I`m not talking about the wedding scene CG videos.
Oh if you unlock all the wedding videos excluding Mei`s and Takane`s into the gallery you get a CG.


So you havent got the individual character CG`s.

It took me months to find which level, which character and which method to use, nearly lost my sanity.

The special attack formula doesn't work.

Thats because the formula only apply to the first special for all characters that doesn't cost Pow to use. Unless the special is a buff type special then the formula should be right.

The ones that require Pow to use follows a different formula that I didn't bother to work out.

As for Chizuru I'm still trying to work out how that special works....it must follow a different formula to every other attack.

I'm starting to think it has something to do with the evasion stat.....

If anyone figures anything please tell.

I dont bother too much with that sort of thing, I normally memorize the ones that are simple to use and then apply them. Besides when you beat the story a couple a times, you can make all your part strong against anyone, except for the final level.

I myself am having trouble figuring what some specials do such Hakase`s. You press for it, text appears and nothing.

All I really care about for this game is figuring out how to unlock that CG.
I`ve beaten the story so many times that I`m staring to get extremely bored of it.

It's not a wedding scene vid, its one of the gallery pics where the girls are in a group shot in wedding dresses. Haven't managed to unlock character CGs yet, keep having to use the sleep spell to keep the girls from waking up because the enemy attacks keep making their hearts race.

That becomes a pain in the ass.

YOU BETTER THANK ME FOR THIS!!! THE ENDLESS HOURS I HAD TO SPEND TO FIND WHICH PEOPLE TO USE AND WHICH METHOD IN WHICH LEVEL.

Cinderella stage 1:
Asakura Kazumi, You have to make her AP between 60-90(preferably 90) you have to make sure that she is wearing her school uniform and sneeze on her.
However its not that easy, you have to make sure that the sneeze FAILS, you heard me.
If you made her into a swimsuit, go to a space and get her into her school uniform and try again until your sneeze fails.


Cinderella stage 2:
Kagurazaka Asuna, Sneeze on her successfully while she is in her school uniform and her AP is between 60-90(preferably 90)

Red riding Hood 1:
Kasuga Misora, Must be in school uniform and have AP between 60-90(preferably 90). You have to sneeze on her while she is standing next to water.

Red riding Hood 2:
Nagase Kaede, Have her in school uniform and AP between 60-90(preferably 90). Make sure she standing next to water and an enemy is next to her, instead of sneezing you have to lower the enemy`s defence.
Lowering defence is Negi`s option third from the top.

Princess and the pea 1:
Akashi Yuuna, School uniform and AP must be 60-90(preferably 90). Sneeze on her while she is next to a cake wall.

Princess and the pea 2(top option):
Izumi Ako, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. sneeze on her while she is next to chocolate water.

Princess and the pea 2(bottom option):
Okochi Akira, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. Have her next to chocolate water with an enemy, lower enemy defence. Lower defence is Negi`s third from the top option.

Monkey Goku 1:
Sasaki Makie, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. next to water with an enemy, lower defence.

Monkey Goku 2:
Naba Chizuru, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. You have to make sure your sneeze fails. if it works go to a space to get your school uniform and try again.

Moon princess 1:
Konoe Konoka, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. Have her next to water with an enemy, lower defence.

Moon princess 2:
Hakase Satomi, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. Have her next to an enemy, lower defence.

Snow white 1(top option):
Kakizaki Misa, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. sneeze her successfully while she is next to water.

Snow white 1(bottom option):
Kugimiya Madoka, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. sneeze her successfully while she is next to water.

Snow white 2:
Kufei, AP must be 60-90(preferably 90) and in school uniform. Sneeze on her.

The little mermaid 1:

Now all I need is to get that final CG. I need to get it before I go crazy.

The Hakase specials do the following...

1 - Damage
2 - (I've forgotten)
3 - Increases Hakase's Evade by 10
4 - recovers 1 characters 100 HP


As for the CG unlocking, doers the character mentioned have to be the main character of the story? Or can it be just that they have to be in battle?

they can play any role. They dont have to be the leader.
Also, as long as you get the CG. even if they die during the battle you`ll still get it.
