LOL you'd think they'd be able to come up with or use better identification software for these things. Especially for words like passport and embassy.

Well, we had that same issue here a while back where it would censor anything with the substring "!@#" in it because of the supposed sexual connotations. It would turn "circumstances" into "cir#%$stances" which looked exceeding weird.

After reading strange_one's article, it reminded me of that infamous John Wayne Bobbitt case, though I think this one is more gruesome than just having one's schlong getting cut.
If she had rational thinking at the time, she would be better off discussing this concern with her husband and had marraige counseling over this infidelity...but no, she chose the psychotic way and burned his penis. |

I agree with that author. Names, no matter how rude, contribute to a place's culture, just like how ethnic jokes contribute to Hawaii's culture despite being quite insensitive to many.
Also, about the fire article: not surprising. I believe I've seen an older story about someone in Russia who did that. |

While not exactly a new concept, I find it somewhat bemusing that she's doing this in order to pay for a masters degree in 'family and marriage therapy'... I dunno, would you take marriage advice from someone who sold their virginity online...?? |

I think I heard about this on the radio this morning, and it's just wierd if you ask me.
As for takeing any advice she gives. I'm not sure if I would. I guess it depends on if she actually does it with a married man or not. If she did she'd come off a bit hypocritical imo. |

Well, I can guess where this is heading when he stops swimming and thus doesn't get drug tested regularly |

Ok I just read this in an artical in Time magizine and thought I'd share a good lulz with you.
This happened in London, England. The city was shut down for 48 hours by six INCHES of SNOW. Come on, your seriously telling me the capital of a first world country like England can't find some way of plowing such a small amount of snow. I mean I could understand if it where six feet of snow, but six inches? |

.... Not just London, but all over the country is affected by snow. We're just not equipped for this kind of snowfall.
Ploughing the snow - In built up areas, where the hell you gonna put it? London in particular is hundreds of square miles of cramped concrete. Airports had trouble finding places to put snow they ploughed off the runways. And that's open ground territory. Many places in England are running low on salt for gritting roads. How do you people do it over there? |

Heh, It's London. Getting it out of the city and to the coast would be impossible. And dumping it into the Thames would probably result in angry boats. Similar thing for other inland cities.
Melting all that would require major heat source. Not really feasible... And snow is a good insulator. This post has been edited by Strange_One on Feb 8 2009, 08:23 PM |

The plan for Mr. Jackson to open a hotel in Nigeria not only is in bad taste but is also infeasible because...
- As much as African-Americans want to re-establish their roots back to their motherland, the pain of how their ancestors suffered from slavery might still be present in their minds. This is more like exploiting the hardships of slavery to make money. - Nigeria itself is considered to be a hotbed of corruption (no offense). I would not be surprised that if the developers are not careful with their budget, it'll fall into corrupt hands and the hotel would never materialize. These are just my opinions... |
