Adults who play 'Animal Crossing: City Folk' must be paedophiles ... according to the Mid-Missouri Internet Crimes Task Force

OK, no chance I'll buy that for my kids - in case someone thinks I'm playing it ...

Hmm - found this as a spam email circulating ... then googled to find what appears to be that it did happen in Nov-2007:

The first two are a bit vague due to lack of details (but plenty of pictures)
The third one gives the same details as the spam email circulating.

For now, laugh. Average age of marriage is increasing in most developed countries. I wonder where the stigma of japanese women needing to be married by 25 comes from.

oh ... that kid
his quote of "...don't play video games because it's a waste of time..." got dissed by a lot of people in GP...

i'm gonna have to agree on him that video games ARE a waste of time, but i'll disagree with him why you shouldn't play...
i mean.. we play to waste time and relax.. duh!

It beat the record of Dubai by about 59 more cars. What's good about this new record is that there were no casualties and cars blown up compared to the last one.

Well at least it wasn't started by some jackass texting while driving. dry.gif

Ok so either the group is stupid or lazy.

If your going to do something like that you should start at the top. At leas that way you reduce the chances of haveing the building do what it did. Or if it did, not while you where in the building.

Or so I think anyway.

QUOTE
The dread Red Ring of Death has long been a feature of Xbox 360 ownership, but a recent survey reveals the shocking truth: the console boasts a failure rate of 54.2%, compared to 10.6% for the PS3 and 6.8% for the Wii.

Microsoft of course never releases statistics on its returns rate, so it has taken a third party survey to uncover the apparent rate. In this case, rag Game Informer surveyed 5,000 readers, asking them about the failure rates of the consoles they owned.

Microsoft’s notorious customer support and warranty system (the subject of a class action lawsuit which forced them to extend Xbox 360 warranties) also come in for criticism: the average turnaround for one of the broken consoles was nearly a month, whilst Nintendo and Sony managed a week. Satisfaction with Microsoft’s support was also a good deal less than with the others.

However, Microsoft’s blasé attitude to the pathetic reliability of its console appears justified: only 3.8% of Xbox 360 owners would never buy another Xbox because of failure.

Seriously, I'm astounded by this!
A 54% XBox (original) failure rate? And only 3.8% said they wouldn't buy an XBox again.
Are they insanely stupid? A month to get it repaired? FOUR times the others!
That really is seriously insane! Are that many people who buy MS stuff so seriously stupid?
Or is it just that they are all so wrapped in MS that they don't realise how bad it is in those 2 things (failure and repair)
(though I do wonder if those figures are a little biased by those who responded - coz they really are insanely high)

I bought a 360 for my son last Xmas and haven't had any problems with it (it doesn't spend much time switched on)
I'm not saying the 360 is good or bad, but I'll never use it online coz I prefer "free" (i.e. no extra Nintendo charge) online on my Wii - I'm not gonna pay MS just to use the stupid thing online.

(P.S. also I bought a Wii the day they were available ... midnight actually ... anyway, still going strong and we use it regularly)
