11/11/08 Maintenance, The end of an era...

[Spoiler=Click to know what happened here]Aquastar & your friendly neighborhood servant (that's me) made some long over due maintenance to the forums. We also added some new goodies for you guys to play around and make our home a bit more pleasant.

As we bid farewell to some of our most respected and long time members--that will remain in our memory and will always be part of us as family--we say hello to another old friend but now with a new journey up ahead. Welcome Invader G'rr to the AQS Moderating Team, we know you'll do a great job.

We apologize for the down time and hope things work perfectly from now on. Please don't hesitate to notify an admin if you have any problems with the boards features. Specially the new ones.

The "Doubleclick quick edit" was disabled because a lot of people use double click to quickly highlight some text. Right now if you want to quick edit just normally hit the EDIT button and you'll quickly open the quick edit box.

Currently known issues:

• Spoiler tags preview. When you preview a post after adding the spoiler tags you will only see the code but once you post the tag will function properly.
• Also after you quick edit a post with a Spoiler tag in it, you might just see the code raw script in it. We are aware of the situation for now, just refresh the page after you finish editing or you can just FULL EDIT and since the page load itself again after a FULL EDIT you will immediately see the code working properly.
• When using FULL EDIT function in multi-pages topics, after the edit is completed it takes you back to the beginning of the topic (Page 1, first post) This only happens with FULL EDIT and in multi-pages(more than 1 page) Topics, otherwise the full edit is working properly, in the meantime just go back to your post if you want to see your post again after a full edit in a multi-page topic.

We are working to fix those issues ASAP but as you can see, it takes time and hard work(for us at least) to get those codes working, specially with the limited help we get from InvisionFree. Needless to say, none of the issues are unbearable and what's really important, none of them stop the function or the objective of the new features. Please bear with us a little longer as we work to make our boards a better place for everyone.

What was more surprising was not G'rr becoming a mod it was that Erizo actually did some work here.

I never knew anything about it! (So it was a new feature that was taken out immediately...)

And now, the "editted by" notification is gonna be everywhere, since it's on by default, and you can't change it unless you go in full edit =X

Congrats, G'rr. From what I hear, you've actually got to be voted by the existing mods as deserving and needed or something. I'm impressed.

Updated first post with Currently Known Issues reports and fixes. I'm tired, no more coffee for me tonight. Will work on it tomorrow.

Nah, I'm actually the mod of the Editors forum in the Scanlation school ... (been for quite a long time) coz that's where the general colouring training and testing threads are

Who knows. All I know is that now he'll probably be held to a higher standard. This might give Shao the edge in the Great Post War...but G'rr patrols those same areas, so he'll probably have to tone it down a bit.

There is, actually.

The limit is Actually a bit bigger than it was before except now it includes both image and text size, you choose what you want in your space of signature or if it doesn't bother you then you can leave it as it is. It's your call.

is anyone else getting giant elongated spaces under everybody's signatures?

Yes, at work using Internet Explorer 7.

Yes, it's been discussed somewhat in the RAW section of all places. It seems to only be happening to those useing I.E 7.

It doesn't seem to have anything to do with IE7. G'rr is using IE6 at work and the elongated spaces are still there.
