So did someone watch ToLoveRu then come up with the first episode of this show?

Seriously, it is so similar to the first episode of ToLoveRu in so many ways.

And yet there is the rather big difference that almost all of Kio's "friends" are members of different secret forces.

I was going to post this in Action/Sci-Fi Series then I thought about the start of ToLoveRu and decided the start of this was the same - just a battle to make the intro interesting, then the rest was going to be Bishoujo only.

Still, it could become an "action bishoujo" mix

The first episode definitely has a few "action" related scenes and there are plenty of "action" characters.
Anyway we'll see after a few episodes.

ANN's Description:
The story centers around Kio Kakazu , a high school freshman living in Okinawa. During a memorial service for one of his family ancestors. A mysterious girl with cat ears appears before him introducing herself as Eris and claiming that she is an alien. However She be more troubling than he first realizes.

Just watched ep 1...

The first thing I thought about after watching is the game Indigo Prophecy, due to all the factions and such. Anyways, Ep1 set up the path of the plot well enough. Even the character introductions, although brief, were well laid(the osananajimi stalker, the fanatical teacher, and the mercenary "shy" friend...). With that said, ++this.seasonWatchlist();

The protag looks like Kazama Shinji from FMP and it seems both like something to do with a camera(Kakazu likes filming, Kazama is into photography), Eris is sort of a Mashiro(Tayutama) and Horo(S&W) character alloy with amped assets. Aoi/Momoji, became my fave character at the onset of her taking off her glasses , also because of the way she scared the crap out of her caretaker/driver, he should have known better to read the atmosphere than to casually fire off comments like that to girls. I guess she was THAT pissed off by him for ruining her chance at Kakazu. Sensei looks like a rebel, wait... I thought they "have people in the navy and air-force", is that the state of the JSDF? they look like rebels . And lastly, Manami, no wonder she knows so much about Kakazu, a Laser Mic for crying out loud!
Rurosu ,I guess, is the equivalent of Marie which is Mizuho's ship AI/Navigation system from Onegai Sensei.

Just some of the things that sprang up to me while watching...

The last line/question by Aoi, was what I liked best!

Woah! This just turned into a major action show with episode 2

Now its an Action Bishoujo Harem Fanservice anime.

But the ending before the ED maybe suggests that won't happen again
(though I've been wrong about that after the 1st episode already)

I think I better wait for a few more episodes to work out what the true genre collection will be

Also - Ep 2 clearly looked like it was LQ edited to censor stuff so I guess there might be an uncensored version later?

Ok, honestly, I AM DISSAPPOINTED!

What the hell happened to epic-triple-nice-boat-esque plot that the end of the first episode was oozing with! It suddenly got thrown out the window around 1/4ths of the episode...
the Fanatics where idiots(easily done in by blackmail), the agent-wannabe Manami, well, the CIA are stupid as always, but Momoji! you should have killed Kio the moment when he canceled your date! And the uncle seems to have connections to the military too.

Sigh, what a waste of plot materiel... they just have to go harem so early

OK just watched ep2. Now I know why you're so disappointed SM. I was hoping that there will be more action in here but it looks like the action will be brought to the BED .

It's been stated that the show is set in Okinawa (Jack said she disliked working in Okinawa either the first or the second episode, I think the second).

So that's one link. Another is that they're both based on light novels. As for why Natsuru and the others show up though...

Though, speaking of Kampfer, I remember there being a cameo of Lisa from Sacred Blacksmith (also published in that magazine) in the manga, but I'm not quite sure if it happened in the anime or not. Still, it could just be authors collaborating to have fun and the anime decided to go along with it.

(yes I did see they were in the same magazine but that would be like seeing a character out of some other Shonen Jump manga in a Negima! OAD - very unexpected - unless the authors were friends - but I of course don't know that about Toshihiko Tsukiji and Okina Kamino)

Yes seeing a Shonen Jump character in a Negi OAD would be very unexpected, considering that Negima is published in Weekly Shonen Magazine.

The Manami dorama, was actually nicely done, I liked it a lot.
The emotions was clear, despite being cliche, but now we got her side of her background story...

Now when will Aoi's turn be.. and how will it turn out??
