Yumekui Merry, Badass adorable girl vs Dream Demons

Since no one's started a topic on this, I will.

He is Yumeji Fujiwara, a boy with aspirations of becoming a writer and a mysterious power he received ten years ago, the power to see a colored aura around people allowing him to guess what their dreams will be that night. However, there's only one color with a 100% chance of being correct. That color represents a nightmare. That color is the one he sees on himself.

She is Merry Nightmare, a girl in strange clothes, and an even stranger past. For she is one of the beings that inhabit the dream world, who, for reasons she doesn't know, has found herself in our world, left with nothing but her clothes, a few scattered memories, and a deep longing to go home.

These two meet when Yumeji's nightmare turns out to be a gateway between this world and the dream world, a gateway opened by a mysterious figure named Chaser John Doe, a Dream Demon with aspirations on taking over Yumeji's body so that he may walk in the real world as well as knowledge of Merry's situation.

And John Doe isn't the only Dream Demon aiming for a human vessel.

I've watched all the eps that have aired so far(3) and am actually enjoying what I've seen. We get a nice mix of action, mystery, intrigue, and comedy. I also agree that Merry wears strange clothes and apparently, her hat is very important to her. Looking forward to seeing what happens from here on out.

I've seen all the episode that have aired(6) now and am still enjoying this series. The last few eps have been really good, IMHO. Hopefully it stays good up until the end.

I'm also watching this series and also reading the manga.

So the villain may not be the villain, interesting twist. So Merry got a power up, I wonder if she will get undergarments next?

Notice how his eye goes from the regular pattern to stripes? Since he's right under her skirt, I should think that he isn't looking at her stockings.

You know, for as skimpy as Merry's outfit is, the only panty shots shown so far (Yui and an unnamed cat girl in the 5th volume) have been from others.

Speaking of the 5th volume, there are major happenings going. [Spoiler=Click here for Spoiler]John actually makes it out into reality, as an adorable kitten! XP And then he questions a certain character's humanity. That person is Yumeji. Wow.

Also, Merry can indeed send Dream Demons back to the Dream World. Remember Chris Evergreen? Well, there is undeniable proof that, while he possessed a human, her dreams didn't disappear unlike what usually happens when the Demon is removed.[/Spoiler]

So things are really getting interesting. Of course there's no way the anime's going to cover this far. But I can hope for a season two! Especially since they've put in a handy Disc One Final Boss in the form of the transfer student and her Dream Demon. But we'll just have so where things go from here.

I read chapter 24 of the manga and the current story is really good.

And yeah I like it to have a 2nd season. I just hope that they follow the manga

So, the series is up to episode 10 now, and I'm still enjoying it. Things are getting even more interesting. Plus, the action and comedy is still prevalent as usual.
