You drew the face and hair ok. A little more practice on the body but the proportions seems fine. The long-sleeved shirt needs more fine-tuning in terms of the folds and creases...

Use some reference guides when drawing next time. They will teach you how to draw certain characters more properly. |

Upon waking up from Shao's knockout barrage, I realised there was a random artz topic in here
 So I hereby post my halfassed piece of art. Izumi Konata as Himura Kiseki's Archerko! Cos Azn girls gotta be in skirts >_>  In any case, my drawing skills themselves are purely amateurish, I rarely have time to draw. Tracing and scanning through to digital format is also kind iffy. I have troubles with colours and shading, thus twas lineart only and finally my nemesis would appear to graphics software packages as I have major troubles accessing colours and using the tools properly. I now open the floor so that the community may rip into my noobish skills Be gentle on me  |

Colors are somewhat ok. They only lack detail - highlights and shadings specifically. Overall drawing is novice-level. Needs more practice.

Hm. Only just realised I hadn't replied :/
I'm bad at picking colours and haven't really improved much. Agree on the lack of details and experience. I also rushed the whole thing. I'd say that B- was very generous  ;[Spoiler=Moar noobish artz]I'd experimented with different methods and these two were the best of the lot that I'd done.  This was traced from my own drawing with the easiest to use pathing tool I could find. Pathing takes a very long time T_T  This was traced by graphics tablet and a program with a lot of software smoothing and tapered path options. Much faster. As well as the usual reasons she doesn't look right, I was lazy with the path settings, working with graphics tablets is just a completely different skill to drawing on paper >_< and I'd used both KyoAni and light novel pictures as sources. So she ended up looking like neither.[/Spoiler] As to the theme. It was Christmas back then and my friend has a thing for ickle girls with nekomimi, big breasts and glasses.  |
