Jimmie kisses Chad’s lips, slowly pulling back. Chad looks on surprised, intrigued by this new Jimmie. There were no previous indications. It was just standing around to a kiss. He heard the rumors, though never believed them.
“So, do you have anything to say?” Chad finally broke the silence as he sat by the edge of the stage looking at Miles. “I mean, you don’t just go kiss someone for no reason, Jimmie. I wanna know more.” Chad then turned to look at Jimmie, trying to read Jimmie’s eyes. Were the feelings there?
“I love you and I can’t hide it anymore.” Jimmie finally spoke, looking down. He was worried with how Chad would react.
“Well, I do care about you, too.” Chad then walked over to Jimmie and Jimmie feared rejection. He could see it in Chad’s words that it wasn’t as deep. “I always worry about you.” Chad then slowly kissed Jimmie’s lips, taken back in the flavors. Now that he had felt it, he didn’t want to let go.
“I love you, Chad Knaus, with my heart.” Chad then smiled.
“I love you too, Jimmie Johnson, with my heart.” Chad then went back to the kisses.
“Promise not to tell Chani?” Jimmie then stepped back, knowing he needed an answer. He wouldn’t do it if this promise couldn’t be kept.
“I promise, Jimmie.” Chad then pulled Jimmie back close, knowing he liked things just fine like this.
“Thank you. I won’t tell anyone that you want to hide it from either.” Chad then smiled, knowing this was true love. Though it partly bugged him also. Why couldn’t Chandra know?
“Okay. Can I ask you a question, Jimmie? Why can’t Chandra know?” Jimmie then looked down, now knowing it’d never work. Why couldn’t Chad be okay with it? He then turned around, heading towards the stage exit.
“Cause I love you both, equally. I can’t go with you without her, Chad. She owns most of my heart and I can’t have that broken, no matter what.” Chad then looked down, letting it soak in. He only wanted Jimmie to himself.
“Then maybe this isn’t a good idea. Maybe we should just be friends.” Chad then turned, walking the other way. He didn’t want to face Jimmie with this rejection he felt. He didn’t want Jimmie to know his pain, knowing to hold it in as he left for tech inspection. Jimmie then headed to the Media Centre, knowing this was all a bad idea. He should’ve just kept all her feelings buried.
