Jeff kept pacing as Steve sat back and watched.
"Jeff, why don't you tell him then?" Steve asked after hearing Jeff go on about his love life for the past half 'n' hour and Jeff then stopped, surprised by that response. He knew telling Dale would burst all bubbles as he didn't want to disappoint. "Or is that a problem, too?"
"Yeah, it is." Jeff answered and Steve rolled his eyes, annoyed.
"How? Ever heard of honesty?" Steve then stood up, leaving the room and Jeff followed.
"Yeah, but what about Dale? We know he's really sick and I don't want to push him." Steve then stopped, looking down. He knew that would be a factor.
"But what about your feelings, Jeff?"
"He knows I love him, Steve."
"But does he know how much?" Steve grabbed a bottle of water and headed back to the living room, sitting back in his chair. "Does he know he's tearing you apart this much? Jeff, you got to make sure he knows where you stand." Jeff then sat on the couch, thinking Steve's words over. "I know you don't want to hurt him, but don't play yourself too lightly."
"I'm not, Steve. He knows by our times together." Jeff then headed towards the front door and Steve joined him. "I've taken care of him through hell. I think enough has been said." Jeff then opened the front door.
"Then why are you worried?" Steve then walked away, knowing his point was made as Jeff headed out. "He's been through hell once so why again?" Steve then turned on hte TV, thinking over his own thoughts. He knows another break-up for Jeff wouldn't be pretty; they all saw him after Brooke. He just hoped Dale made the right choice.
