I was prepared for a good day.
I had a good car.
I could’ve won that race,
But here I sit in the garage.

They say Daytona is all luck.
Those words aren’t a joke.
You need to escape trouble,
But also find a friend.

Today I lacked lucky;
Part failure bit me.
Now I don’t get the win,
I don’t get a chance.

Disappointment runs through me,
But I just hope I’m good Sunday.

Nice job Ashley! I like how you described Kevin's emotions within the words you used to describe the situation in that poem. It really gives a good idea of the entire situation full circle style. I was curious - will there be a 2008 style of this series posted? Or is this it for the Speedweek style stuff?

This is it for the Speedweeks stuff as I'm backed up on ideas from 2007, and even 2006. Once I get most of those ideas written, then a whole bunch of new ideas should be coming out. Basically it's gotten to the point where when I get an old idea finished, you'll see one of my new ones pop-up. So just be patient and enjoy reading the stories being posted!
