character personality ,
personality: "People have told me that the first thing that strikes them about me is my charm. Apparently I have a sort of natural charm, and I'll tell you this now - I can definitely play it up. My mum used to say I could charm the eggs out of the chickens, in her little farmers-wife way. I'm persuasive in the use of my charms - I can usually get people to see my way one way or another. Whenever they don't see it my way, I'll admit I can get a little... aggressive. I'm known for starting fights. It's not my fault I've got a quick temper - and I don't usually let it develop to actual physical fighting. Normally I just shout at people if they piss me off, or if I'm really annoyed, I talk very slowly and quietly and then do something pretty harsh. I've had a temper ever since I was small. Don't even ask what farmers euphenism my mum had for my temperament. When I'm angry with someone I tell them like it is, except in a roundabout way so they have to think to figure out what made me angry with them in the first place. If they can't figure it out, then they're stupid. I'm sorry, but that's the way I see it.

I'm a social kind of guy - I like parties. Who doesn't enjoy going a little wild, especially whenever they live in the party circuit of all party circuits. I've been partying hard since I was about fifteen, and working even harder - I assure you, I've been working since I was thirteen to get to L.A. I love feeling as if I'm accepted, and I automatically assume people will accept me as soon as I walk into a room. I feel more at home in Los Angeles than I ever did back in Shropshire. It's not that I hate my family - it's just they're so unlike me, I can't like them very much. My dad and my older brother are like, in love with agriculture, and my younger brother is studying the damn thing! I'm not too fond of animals and I can't drive a tractor. I've never wanted to. My parents despaired of me when I was younger. Anyway, I care about them and send money on birthdays and Christmas. Occasionally I visit but my job keeps me busy, you know.

With my friends, I like to relax. I have a lot of girl friends, because I love flirting with them. I'll admit, I've experimented before but I am most definitely straight. Still, what doesn't kill you can only strengthen you, or whatever. I have guy mates as well, obviously, although to tell you the truth I feel as if I should have minions. I mean, I don't think of myself as God or anything, I just don't bother getting really really close to all my acquaintances. I'm a secretive guy - I've been referred to as mysterious, but whatever floats your boat - so I don't trust people easily. I suppose people could call me sexist, because I often think of women as chattels. I care for my girlfriends and everything, especially my current one, but if women don't earn my respect I won't give them it. I like feisty women who have opinions, not the type who just give in because they fancy you. Of course, if girls do that then I just use them. Why wouldn't I? I don't think they deserve anything more.

One of my favourite pastimes is keeping my privacy. I'm a pro at outrunning or confusing the papparazzi and no matter how nosey the media is they always get the scandal on me completely wrong. I have never read anything true about myself or seen it. I just talk in riddles to interviewers and leave them trying to salvage the facts. Sometimes they get a little of it. My biggest secret is my family background - everyone knows I was a scholarship kid, but I let them think it was because I was brilliant and not because I was a poor farmer's son."

In a nutshell, Cayden is charming, flirtatious, secretive, cryptic, argumentative, agressive. He parties hard but he's not a slacker. He loves his job - his two huge passions are acting and women. He loves sex. He loves firey women that he can respect. He hates not getting his own way. A little spoilt? Maybe. Though you can hardly blame his parents.

likes: sex, los angeles, summer, sunglasses, flirting, charming his way into inner circles, parties, flings, dancing, women who present a challenge to him, feisty girls, females, his job, sex, being in work, fan girls, being famous, when he outruns the paparazzi, fast cars, getting attention, himself, being able to keep his secrets out of the tabloids, his looks, and did he mention sex?
dislikes: prudes, people who never let themselves go, the paparazzi, cold weather, feeling left out, not getting recognised, losing, people threatening or hurting those he cares about, people who threaten or insult him, being bored, being out of work, ugly people, avocados, bats, his family background, americanisms.
flaws: • Arrogant;; Cayden is arrogant, verging on snobbishness. He’s often prejudiced and judges on looks a lot - occasionally he treats people like dirt just because they’re ugly. He also thinks the world of himself and expects others to love him, or be easily charmed by him. He’s conceited and very self-absorbed, but can charm the pants off most girls if he wants to.
Aggressive;; Cayden gets angry easily and when pissed off he’s likely to lash out. He’s never hit a woman, but he has definitely had very heated arguments in previous relationships. His aggression occasionally gets him in trouble with his employers. Unfortunately, Cayden sees no reason why he should change as he believes he is nearly always right. He has a habit of starting fights with men who anger him. Fortunately, when he’s drunk he’s the complete opposite and turns into a pacifist.
Cryptic;; Cayden is mysterious and can twist his words so no one really knows if he’s telling the truth or lying. Consequently, he is amazing at hiding from the paparazzi and has a lot of secrets no one knows about. He can think of a believable lie in a millisecond. Also, some find it hard to trust him, rather than finding his mystery intriguing.
habits: • He flirts with girls, somewhat automatically. If he finds someone attractive then he’ll just turn his charm on, usually without realising.
He uses sarcasm a lot. It helps with his whole mysterious thing - if he’s sarcastic to the journalists they’re not sure what to believe.
He likes preening himself and checks himself out on almost any available reflective surface.
He’s very touchy feely - he often greets people with a kiss on the cheek, male or female. He’s extremely comfortable with his sexuality so he doesn’t think twice about physical proximity of another man.
strengths: Lying, keeping secrets, being charming, getting people to see things his way, debates, persuasion, fist fighting, manipulation and blackmail. He’s also very good at his job, too, because his lifetime passion is acting. He was sort of born with thespian talent.
weaknesses: Feeling ashamed of his family, judging by appearances, assuming everyone loves him, angering easily, vanity, dark chocolate and strawberries, sex. His biggest weakness is probably beautiful, intelligent and feisty women.
when you've lost your will to be ,
character history ,
    originated from: Shropshire, England
parents: Hugh Patton, father, fifty five, farmer
Elizabeth (nee Rodgers) Patton, mother, fifty four, owns an organic grocery shop
siblings: Thomas Patton, elder brother, thirty, farmer
Alice Patton, elder sister, twenty seven, hairdresser
Owen Patton, younger brother, twenty three, bus driver
Frederick Patton, younger brother, twenty, university student studying agriculture
Zoe Patton, younger sister, eighteen, in final year of secondary school
Eloise Patton, younger sister, fourteen, in secondary school
other: various aunts and uncles. “My parents both had tons of brothers and sisters. I suppose they wanted to carry on with that tradition.”
financial status: “My family are lower-middle class, money-wise, if that makes sense. They never really were in debt but with so many children we did have to sacrifice to make do - the younger children never got new clothes. Instead, it was our older siblings and cousins hand me downs. Right now, though, I’m only providing for myself and I’m pretty comfortable thanks to my recent big film role. I’ve been able to buy myself an apartment in LA (buy, not rent) and I also finally have a decent looking car.”
Due to his extensive partying, Cayden often wastes a lot of money on frivolities and would have a lot more money if he didn’t go out so much.
history: “I was born on the third of november, 1984. I was the third child of seven to Hugh and Elizabeth Patton. We lived in Daisy Field Farm, in Shropshire, thirty miles away from a city and three away from the nearest town (really, it was a village). Growing up was... boring. I mean, I had all my siblings to play with and stuff, but I always had a feeling that my parents were so... stupid. I mean, all they did was look after us, the cows and the vegetables. Our little culchie life on the farm was too full of manure for me. I always absolutely detested anything to do with the farm, and was pretty crap at it too, unlike my older brother. I always felt like my dad was disappointed in me, although I didn’t care too much because the way I saw it, I was more disappointed in my parents. When I was two my little brother was born. I was five when the next child came along. Then two years later my first little sister was born. Next thing you know, I'm eleven years old and I have six siblings. The year after my mother had Eloise, Dad got sterilised. Just in case. We were almost struggling to support our huge family on our farmers budget.

I always loved films and the theatre, and I realised my passion for acting when I joined a summer drama club at the age of eight. I started going to drama club every week, then when I was thirteen I got a scholarship to a London School Of The Arts. I had to leave my family then, of course, but I fitted right into boarding school, partly because I was so pleased to be off the farm! It's safe to say my high school days were some of the best days of my life. Primary school was fine - I wanted to learn so I wouldn't be stuck on the farm all my life, so I was actually interested in the classes, especially art and drama and english. Then I had two years of normal secondary school. They sort of dragged, but at least there was a drama club at the school. In fact, Condover County High School's drama teacher encouraged me to go for the Scholarship oppurtunity. Not that I needed much encouraging. When I was at school I only went to see my family during holidays - never at weekends. I fell in love with the city and completely in love with the arts as soon as I set foot in the School, and I've never been homesick for Daisy Lane farm since then. Anyway, life just got better from there. I did a few british commercials, and then a small cameo in an even smaller British film, before getting properly noticed by starring in a major role in the West End when I was eighteen.

Two years later I had the opportunity to be in a small American sitcom and I finally moved to LA. Getting to Los Angeles and into Hollywood was a huge aspiration and I fulfilled it. I was in and out of work, mainly in. I paid the rent by doing the sitcom role and then a few more roles in films. When times got really hard I acted as an extra. About a year ago I got my big break when I was casted in the leading role of a huge hollywood film. Then I met my girlfriend. I suppose going out with her has really improved my social life generally - I can get into more nightclubs, I’ve got a wider social circle. Plus I can hang out with her hot actress friends. Although perhaps these are all the perks of becoming famous.”

name one you like: “there is a reason none of the canons are scene”
roleplay example: Addison was bored, hanging around in the dorm. None of his roommates seemed to want to spend friday evening in their beds, as he was doing. Staring up at the ceiling, stripped down to his boxers (he'd started to get changed when he'd first come into the room but hadn't bothered putting his non-uniformE clothes on and instead had flopped onto his bed nearly naked. He contemplated reading a book but he'd already read most of the ones he had in his trunk. Addison had even read some of the sixth year textbooks - handmedowns from Duncan. Duncan and Hayden got new books every year, and Hayden then passed his to Rey, who then passed hers to Belle. But Addison had begged Duncan when he was in his second year to give him all his old books, and his elder brother had obliged. So now Add had the set of textbooks his older brothers had required years first through sixth. Plus, Belle got her books third hand. Tehee. Who said he wasn't loved? Sighing, and dragging himself off the fourposter bed, he sifted his clothes about until he found some clean ones, pulling on a button down baby blue shirt and a pair of baggy jeans. Running his left hand through his hair, he looked down at his bare feet and contemplated putting socks on, before deciding against it. He was only planning on going down to the common room, anyway.

Checking himself out in the mirror that hung on the wall directly opposite his bed, Addison turned, walked out of the dormitory door and started down the winding staircase. Add wasn't exactly vain, or anything - he'd never worried about his appearance - but he always checked himself in the mirror before going downstairs. It had become a habit.

Entering the Ravenclaw common room, he nodded at a few students in the years below him whom he knew a little, then settled himself down to watch, from afar, two second year boys playing chess. The game was rather amusing - neither player was very good, although he could tell the darkhaired one using the white pieces had potential, he just couldn't concentrate well enough to communicate properly with his pieces. Add himself wasn't exactly a pro at chess, but he knew enough of it to be able to pick out where the two were going wrong - which was in quite a lot of places. Grinning as the white knight slammed the black bishop to the board, to the squeals of terror and delight from the boys, Add leant back in the armchair and looked around the common room. Where was everyone? He couldn't see any of his friends. Half of the seventh years in his house were probably in the library, prepping for NEWTs already. Add never studied that much. He studied hard, but not years in advance. He was a bit like a sponge - he had no trouble with soaking up knowledge and reciting it back perfectly. So he occasionally forgot that learning didn't come as easily to others as it did to him. Still, the NEWTs didn't explain the absence of the sixth and fifth years. Addison tutted, clicking his tongue at his pet cat, Sooty II, slunk over and leaped into his lap. At least he had a cat who would hang out with him. He absentmindedly scratched behind his pets ears, not bothering to make plans to find someone. He was sure someone who would be worth talking to would come into the common room soon enough.
