Now I'm all for friends. Anyone can be friends. It's obvious that Toph and Aang are at least somewhat friends. It's kinda hard not to make friends... well, okay, maybe not all the time. But I'm not much of an analyzer of friendships. <3


Now as for the romantical pairing... It's the whole "opposites attract" thing all over again, like in Zutara - Fire is opposite to Water, whereas Earth is opposite to Air. Aang and Toph have opposite personalities. But it's the same concept that I said with the others like this - opposites don't always attract. People that are waaay too different won't make a secure, long-lasting relationship - they need to have at least some solid agreement or something in common. Aang is pleasant and polite, and Toph is aggressive and often rude. Plus.. Toph is Aang's teacher. Awkward, much?
