(Note: This is a trial and error period for the game, so these rules are subject to change at any time.)
Avast! Do ye have a ship that ye really despise? Wish that you could have the thrill of blowing your canon cannons straight into their faces? Well now ye can! Welcome to the world of Ship Wars, a game that pits your ship against the others, placing your loyalty and knowledge to the test. You will have the opportunity to join the ship league of your choice, bomb opposing ships with your amazing logic, and fire your canon cannons so you make that ship you hate blow sky high! (No deaths will occur, side effects may include aggressive behavior and a lust for drawing ridiculing fanart.) I shall explain to you some of the basic rules of Ship Wars:
Ship topics must include the names of the ships battling in the topic name (if they can fit.) If they won't fit in the topic title or description, place them at the VERY TOP of the first post. 2.) Sneaking around in other ships bases is allowed... if you can manage to get inside without being caught. 3.) All ship 'weapons' need some sort of name/effect relating to relationships. Canon cannons, logic bombs, and fluff rain are good examples. 4.) All relationships must have a seacraft of some sort. More largely supported ships (e.g: Kataang, Zutara) will have more funding, and therefore will have larger crafts (like naval ships). Less supported/known ships (e.g: Kuei/Song, Azula/Sokka) have less funds, and must resort to using small fleets or crafts (like canoes, rowboats or rafts). 5.) All ships must have a base topic, but only one base topic, for their members to hang out in when not battling. This 'base' must have some sort of location and surroundings. 6.) Noship island is neutral, and tends to float around wherever it pleases. Attacking Noship will result in temporary banishment from your own ship's base, and battling privileges temporarily revoked. 7.) You may join more than one ship, however it is not wise, particularly if the ships concern the same person. You alone are responsible for choosing sides if your two ships decide to go to war... 8.) Alliances may be formed, but these agreements are strictly overseen by the ships. They may be broken at any time, for any reason ships see fit. 9.) As with real battles, battles will end with either one side's victory or a stalemate. This must be determined by the battling parties captains. If fighting arises over the winner, moderators will be forced to step in and declare the battle a stalemate, and no points will be issued. A scoreboard will be kept. 10.) The captain of the ship forces will be the first person to create the base topic. First come, first served. Captains must follow specific guidelines outlined in the Captain's rules. 11.) The Protective Police Patrol of the shipping seas are the moderators of the battles and bases. While on duty they reserve the right to poke their heads into battles and bases when necessary, and while off duty they may participate in ships. Listen to them just as you would listen to them anywhere else. 12.) This isn't required, but you can try to use some ship terms. It might make it a lot more fun. <3
2.) Do not flame others for joining a ship, and don't take anything that goes on in this forum outside of it. Feelings can be hurt here if you're not careful. 3.) This is basically a huge, relaxed RP. You don't have to post in long descriptive posts but you can't run into another ship's base and bash them. No, you have to be sneaky. 4.) Please observe the forum rules. 5.) Moderators reserve the right to ban anyone from playing if they see fit. 6.) If you, as a community, cannot play fairly, nicely, and comply with the rules, we reserve the right to permanently shut down this subforum. This is only a game, and it is meant to be fun for everyone. 7.) SEA OF SHIPPING IS A GAME, NOT A SHIPPING DISCUSSION FORUM. Ship Wars is a huge out of character roleplay with some gamelike qualities to add to the fun. The Character Relationships forum is the place to go if you desire to vent out why you hate/love a certain ship. This be the code, the code that all captains of ships must follow. Their crew must be familiar with these rules as well, for if the captain should break a rule, their crew has the right to overthrow him or her.
The code be as follows:
2.) Captains must keep a roster, or list, of members of their crew, kept in the first post of the base topic. (In the event the captain did not create the topic, the roster must be kept in whatever post is convenient, and must be linked to in the first post.) 3.) Captains may only deny new members when the member is a part of a ship that the Captain's ship is currently at war with. 4.) Every Monday the captain must give up his or her duties to the next listed in the roster. In the event nobody will accept captainship, the captain will remain captain. 5.) Captains have the final say (other than moderators) on who wins the battle they participate in. Therefore, captains must keep up with battles in the forum concerning their ships, and must cooperate with their opponent's captains. 6.) If the majority of a crew disagrees with a Captain's holding on his or her position, the Captain must resign and pass on Captainship to the next. 7.) All Captains retain the right to resign or pass on their turn as Captain. Aye, we also have some guidelines for battles and for sneaking around bases.
Battle Rules
2.) Battles do not have to be declared by the captains, however it would be a good idea to inform your captain of the battle occurring. 3.) Battles may last no longer than 7 days. When the 7th day has passed, you must cease fire and decide who is victorious. 4.) You may only declare a battle a loss, victory, or a stalemate. Only victories adjust the score - there are no negative points issued in battle outcomes. 5.) Anyone infiltrating the opposing ship during a battle in order to sabotage will lose a point for their team. 6.) Captains are the final say in who is the victor, they are second only to moderators. 7.) Free-for-All battles ( which will only be held on special occasions ) only last two days. Base Rules
2.) You may sneak around and cause a little bit of ruckus in opposing bases. However, there are certain consequences... as explained in rule 3. 3.) Ships may take prisoners of opposing ships if they are caught sneaking around their base. 4.) Spraypainting a little on other bases is permitted, as are things like leaving firework messages, notes, brochures, etc. However, other means of destroying property/ships is considered open warfare. Even egging. 5.) Captured ship members may only post in the base of who captured them. 6.) Ships may keep a single prisoner from one ship for a maximum of two days. In that timespan, they may ransom other ships for the prisoner. 7.) Ships have a maximum of one prisoner per opposing ship. (E.g: You may not have two Kataang prisoners, but you may have a single Kataang prisoner and a single Zutara prisoner.) 8.) All ships start out with 5 points. 9.) At the end of each month, the ship with the most points gets a trophy. They will be crowned King of the Shipping Seas... that is, until someone can knock them out of the title next month.
