Her golden hair shone brightly as she hurried to the glass door, a scratched, scuffed white, (well, it might have been once), surfboard held tightly under her arm. She shoved the little golden key into the door, quickly glancing at her watch with anxiety. At least there was noone waiting to come in, she thought with slight comfort. Her mobile vibrated violently in her bag. She threw the worn board over the counter, and it hit the hard floor on the other side with a loud crack. She swung her bag off and scrabbled inside the flowery design for the tiny phone. Its vibrating became quicker and more violent, as if it was screaming at her to answer it. She spoke into the tiny white block timidly. "Hello?" Her mother's shrill voice started asking thousands of concerned questions. Erin sighed and put it on loudspeaker; the over-worried words rang around the large room. The young daughter skipped behind the counter and leant the large board against the timber wall. It smelt of sand and seaweed; years of use had almost completely killed it. Scuffs and scratches were visible around the edges, and sand was stuck in jagged areas where moss and small grains had also got trapped. "I've got to go, Mom." The words seemed to cut her mother short, and she answered with a startled tone: clearly wasn't expecting that remark from her daughter. "Okay.. I'll see you later then. 11 right?" Erin answered with two words, and the room became silent apart from soft whispers of the sea and breeze outside. The room was so hot, and she could feel a sweat coming on.

She unbuttoned her tight, stripey shirt to show her white bikini to the public. She pulled out some deodrant from the backpack and rolled it on. She also put on some lipbalm... you never know what the day could bring. She slid a folded T-Shirt from beneath the counter, which had the vibrant words: 'Beech Feet'. She pulled it on with slight difficulty because of its tightness. She threw the items back into her bag, including the little white phone. A note was on the side, she noticed. She picked it up and read the words:

Erin, here are your jobz-

2) Sortout the voutchers on side of the cownter

She tutted and laughed at the poor spelling Jake had. He was her big brother, but wasn't in today as he had to go out with some friends somewhere important.. to his mother. To Erin, it just meant he couldn't be bothered to get off his ass to come to work today. She thought he was a prick, but her mother thought he was an independant, loving little boy. He was 21, and he was a prick. But he had given Erin this job, so she had to thank him for something. She started her errands.
