The sun had set earlier than usual on this particular day, the mist from the sea rolled in and surrounded the ship Blood-Tide until it was invisible to the isle of Rintique. The timbers swayed beneath the waves, rocking the ship back and forth like a mother rocking her babe in the cradle. Despite the sound of the cold water was the clicking of claws on the main deck. The cloaked figure made it's way to look over take a seat on an old water barrel looking out at the sea. Removing the hood, the figure revealed itself to be a vixen.
Fiery red fur, accented by black tipped ears and creamy whie throat, shone in the moonlight. Her eyes were a piercing grey, like a storm always ready to strike. It was none other that Rogue Galeclaw, Captain of the ship. Though she was young, it seems that her former captain saw her has fit enough to lead the ship that she had made her home as a lookout some three seasons ago. Taking out a small book with blank pages, she began to write, dippin her quill in blue ink: I know not the date of time at the moment, but that will be a matter settled late. The time I have spent here at my ship and with my crew has been of great pleasure.... and turmoil for that matter. Two nights ago Swifty decided to go and try to steal some gold of another beast. Well, he got into a spate and the rest of my crew (Tatch, Kronos, Redsnow), decided to help him, which I am most proud of. Unfortunatly, they sustained some great wounds, but worst of all was Kronos. My pore ol' mate, is now paralyzed and cannot walk. I have worked endlessly on the chair that will help him get around easily and I hope he likes it. What kind of captain would I be if I did not allow him to work when he wants to. I will write later on, there is much to do at the moment. Closing the book, Rogue looked over at the chair she had built. It was fashioned from one of her own comfartable armchairs and two cart wheels. It had taken two days to finish and the blisters on her paws showed how hard she had worked. Smiling to herself, she pulled her cloak tighter around her for warmth against the misty chill. |

It's good to be back mate. I was getting kinda bored!!!! Anyway why don't you say that you were put on watch with the young weasel, Marcus, to help you out? That way you are already up there, yet with no clue about the chair. If we can't make that work, we'll think of something.

:::Great idear, matey! And also must commend you on a good judgement call in ending that other Rp... it really wasn't going anywhere... anyway, where is that blasted young weasel......:::
Kronos sat quietly upon the wooden decking of The Blood-Tide, the chill wind whipping through his patchy fur. Fog was heavy on the town, nobeast was in sight, except for the young weasel, Marcus, sitting drowzily nearby. Kronos thought to himself about how lucky he was to have so much support from his crewmates, his captain. Rascale, he probably would have said tough luck, and thrown him of the ship, given away his position to some fit youngbeast. His new disability was worse than death, in a way. Ah, well, probably time to switch out his post. The moon was well up into the sky by now; the stars almost nonexistent because of the fog. He turned heavily to look at Marcus and shook his shoulder to wake him. "Oi, Marcus. Ye gonna sit there bein' a lump, 'er are ye gonna go git Rogue so's I can get some rest, eh? Go on, there's a good beast then, git up there." Marcus rose groggily and stumped off to find the captain. |

Sleep was the last thing on Rogue's mind as she stared out to sea. It had been awhile since she had sailed out on the blue and the crave for adventure soon filled her heart. The only setback for the notion was that it would have to wait until it warmed up and more crewbeasts came into the picture. About to write down some futur plans, the vixen was temporarily interrupted by the sound of another beast approaching from behind her.
"Cap'n Rogue, marm. Kronos is ready to hit the bunks an' leave me to take over watch. He asked me teh get you to help out....if you please Cap'n." Rogue looked up and smiled fleetingly at the young weasel. Marcus had come to her crew not long ago and had proven himself fit enough to run with the Tide. Nodding to the chair she had made for Kronos, she stood up and moved toward it. "Sure thing, Marcus. I just need yeh teh help me with getting this here chair to him." Marcus's blue eyes grew big with wonder. Stroking the wood of the chair and feeling the soft red velvet of the cushion he gazed at his Captain with admiration. "Did yeh think of this all by yer self, Cap'n? Boy, ye sure are smart!" The vixen ruffled the weasel's headfur and smirked, pushing the chair towards Kronos's post. "Enough with yer remarks, yeh rip! C'mon!" Both creatures pushed the chair across the deck, sometimes lifting it over coils of rope. Coming to the figure of Kronos, Rogue squatted beside him and grinned. "So yeh want teh go teh bed, eh? Well you won't get anywhere just sittin' there. Take a gander at that there chair I made fer yeh, mate." |

Kronos' eyes opened a bit wider as he saw Rogue and Marcus come up to him, pushing before them... something Kronos had never seen before. It was a beautiful thing. A chair, of dark wood in wondrous condition. The wood had been sanded smooth, and the seat of the chair, as well as the armrests, were cushioned with crimson velvet. The whole thing was; he couldn't believe it, on wheels! At last, a way for him to get around, to live (almost) normally.
"So yeh want teh go teh bed, eh? Well you won't get anywhere just sittin' there. Take a gander at that there chair I made fer yeh, mate." Kronos shook his head, and cracked a rare grin. He then began to laugh, throwing in thank-you's and goodnatured cursing into the mixture of laughter and tears of happiness. He held out a paw to Rogue. "So, Cap'n Woodworker, marm, are ye gonna help me up or what! I still carn't believe this, ye know!..." |

Mouth open and tongue lolling out, Malakai Vryce panted as he climbed easily onto the Tide. He circled the deck several times, sides heaving, to recover from his run. Once he'd regained his breath he considered the collection of beasts gathered around a wheeled chair. Rogue had obviously concocted a solution to Kronos' recently acquired disability and he applauded her for it.
Shaking the sweat from his headfur he recalled the events that had caused Kronos to lose his mobility. It was an unfortunate situation probably caused by an excess of drink, but luckily, the consequences had been relatively light. While the majority of his crewbeasts involved had suffered serious injury, they had not been followed and slaughtered. He wondered what force was responsible for stopping the escaped vermin before he could reach his friends, for that's what must have happened. If the escapees had been allowed to reach their pack he and his crewmates would certainly have suffered a heavy attack. Perhaps they'd sustained wounds before they left and hadn't survived to reach their brethen? It seemed unlikely. Nothing else came to mind, so he stored the question in the back of his thoughts to let his unconscious mind worry at it in peace. Strolling across the rough, weather worn planks of the Tide's deck he approached the Captain. "Rogue, we'll be needin' te keep th' double watch t'night. Ahm still not convinced them beasties is not commin' after us. Never hert nobeast te be cautious." There were'nt many crewbeasts available to take the extra shift with all the injuries they'd sustained. The suggestion was his way of volunteering for the duty and he fully expected to be taken up on it. |

Laughing heartily, Rogue took hold of the rat's paw and nodded to Marcus to do the same and heaved up, setting Kronos into the chair comfortably. Folding her arms across her chest, the vixen winked at the cannon rat.
"You'd be suprised at the stuff I can do when I put me mind to it, mate!" The sound of heavy breathing and claws clicking on the deck caused her to turn her head. Of course it was Malakai, he always seemed to find a way to keep himself fit, no matter what time of day or night it was. Taking in all he said, she nodded knowingly. She had been thinking the same thing with a thought of placing herself on watch, though by the tone of Kai's voice, she believed that he wanted to take up the job. "Sure thing, Kai. Why don't you join Marcus here on deck watch? The young snip could do with a hardnose veteran like yerself to put him in the right direction." The young weasel stood by the mobile chair and shuddered. He had a slight fear of the tough fox that was known as First Mate. Swallowing a nervous laugh, Marcus saluted shakily. "I'll do watch with whoever yeh wish, Cap'n." Rogue smiled disarmingly "That is what I like to her, me young cully. THat is what I like to here." |

Kronos sighed evenly as he was lifted and put into the chair. He liked the feel of the thing from the moment he was in it. He pushed himself forward and back experimentaly, propelling the wheels forward with his paws. He listened to the other's conversation with half a mind; the other focussed on completely revelling in marvel at Rogue's cleverness. He noticed that Kai had arrived, and picked up on the fact that he and Marcus were to stay on watch duty, but nothing else had he heard. He praticed going forward and back a few times more, then took the liberty of attempting to turn around. He shakily and slowly turned the chair, now facing out towards the ocean. The wind had settled down a bit, the small waves lapped at the sides of the ship. The fog was, however, as thick as ever, and Kronos could see only a short distance before the enveloping mist closed the landscape. He turned around again, a bit quicker this time; he was getting used to this already. He heard Rogue still talking, but now to Marcus instead.
"I'll do watch with whoever yeh wish, Cap'n." Kronos smiled along with Rogue, enjoying the best day of his long life. "Well then, Rogue, fancy a walk 'round the ship, er were yeh heading fer bed now?" |

Runing through a forest a fox was panting very hard and he started to loose his breath so he started to walk instead. He had been running all night long from a rat that was after him. The fox had finaly lost the rat jumping in and out of trees. He now realized he was at the shore. Not only that but there was a ship there. not many but he herd them. There was also another thing too something he hadn't herd in a long time. Laghter. A wonderful sound. He thought to himself.
"Now dis 'ould 'e a good place te start over" This was when he hoped he wouldn't be atacked but just incase he took out his ax but hid it from veiw by putting with his hand in his navy blue jacket's pocket and shouted loud enough for the beasts on board to hear. "'Ello ther is ther place onboard for one more." Then he waited for a reasponce. |

Rogue smiled and did a small curtsy to the rat.
"I'll take a walk with yeh, kind sir. If it were sleep I sought after, I would have been in bed an hour ago." Bursting into a fit of giggles, Rogue soon caught sight of movement on the shore since the fog started to thin somewhat. Tensing up, the vixen drew her daggers and moved toward the side rali, the shadows hiding her features. The creature was a fox, though not much else about his appearance could be seen on a night like this. 'Ello there! Is there place on board for one more?" The vixen Captain was not one to trust a beast in the dark, especially after what had happened to her crew. Taking caution, she challenged the beast out on the beach. "That all depends! Who are you and what do you want?" Rogue looked back at her crew on deck, eyes growing hard. "If he starts any trouble, don't hesitate to strike. I wont have any mishaps like what happened two nights ago." Just so she answered the question that would probably be on everybody's mind, she grinned wickedly, a trademark smirk that had not been seen on her face for over a season. "If you have to strike...Kill 'em!" |

Kronos laughed heartily along with Rogue. Ha, if there was anybeast less suited to a curtsy, he'd eat his chair. Rogue's laughter, however, soon died as she suddenly tensed up and stared quietly of into the darkness.
'Ello there! Is there place on board for one more?" He heard the shout, and wheeled himself quietly closer to the railing. Peering out into the foggy black, he could vaguely make out a figure; a fox by the look of his ears. Kronos silently reached for one of his throwing knives that he had on him, rubbing his paw up and down the shining blade. "That all depends! Who are you and what do you want?" Rogue turned back to the crew, Kronos made sure to keep both eyes fixed on the fox down bellow, should he try anything. "If he starts any trouble, don't hesitate to strike. I wont have any mishaps like what happened two nights ago." "If you have to strike...Kill 'em!" Kronos frowned grimly, not this again, he thought. Ah well, give 'em a job, 'er give 'em death, all mattered on what Rogue said. She was the captain after all... " Well then, looks like were gonna 'af ter postpone that walk then, 'eh Rogue?" |

"That all depends! Who are you and what do you want?"
The fox herd whispering but it wasn't loud enough to hear so he responded as fast as posseble. "Iven. Iven the Butcher to be exact. 'n I'd like a place aboard your crew as a cannon fox." |

OOC: Sorry. I'll redo that.
Only after a few seconds the fox herd a reply from a voice that sounded like a female. "That all depends! Who are you and what do you want?" He assumed this was the captain. The fox herd whispering but it wasn't loud enough to hear. He tensend his grip on his ax so much that he could feel his own figer nails digging into his palm. After a few moments of thinking of what he would say the fox shouted once more over the ship so he would be herd. "Iven. Iven the Butcher to be exact. 'n I'd like a place aboard your crew as a cannon fox." Then after a moment of waiting he added. "I've left m'self in thee open f'r all t' see, but as far as I know, no one has seemed t' look. Now to mention it I haven't seen any of your faces either." Iven now waited another moment for a reply from anyone. His ax so tightly griped in his hand that blood was starting to trickle through a hole in his pocket. He was almost sure he was going to be ambushed but there was a part of him that wanted to trust these beast. Even though he had never even seen any of there faces. |
