Okay so I've read all the articles for Space Hulk and it looks pretty freakin cool tbh.

I just wanted to get everyones opinion in how they find it. Here in Australia its just over $170. If it was cheaper I would definitely buy it. If its just as great as everyone claims it to be... I may be able to purchase it... But when you consider that a battalion is $150... Its really quite expensive and I dont wanna buy summit thats overated and the money could go alot of other places..

Please, peoples experiences and lemme know if its worth it!

I haven't played a game yet, apparently the Blood Angels only get like 2 minutes to complete their turn and the Genestealers get infinite! But price put me off too, it's just as expensive over the Tasman! Try picking bits and peices up individually off eBay, i've seen people selling the models (especially the Terminators), book, scenery and stuff by themselves there.

Eh, it's okay.

I've played a couple of times and, while fun, I certainly wouldn't buy the boxed set. If you're eager on getting it though, with the price being the only inhibitor, I suggest approaching your gaming group with the idea that everyone contributes towards it's acquisition.

Does your local GW have a store copy that people can play? In fact, I think this would probably be the best avenue. After several games, a person begins to develop unmigratable strategies for each mission i.e the best pathway to take, best place to leave an overwatch sentry, genestealer stack for an ambush. A friend of mine more-or-less has a preset infallible strategy for each mission, and just plays it out each game with minimal deviation. Very boring. Restricted play would prevent one person from getting in dramatically more games than others, and then dominate.

Just remember: it is firstly a board game, not a war game.
