 Tourney next weekend,, What do you think of the list??

Ok, before anything else, the tourney only allows 40US shooting, including war machines and the like, as a Stank, will cost 10 US for shooting,

Also there is a max of 8 PD, and 2 dispel scrolls,

That will say not too much shooting around, and not overpowered magic, Also WOC cannot have Tzeentch and Nurgle in the same list,

So here is what I am thinking of, what do you think???

I'm curious about the MoS on the knights. They already cause fear and can reroll panic, so unless you're expecting tons of terror causers, I don't really see why you should invest the points in the marks.

MoS makes wonders. Its always worth the 10 points. Ld 8 is good, but not so super great, even with re-roll. MoS makes you immune to failed panic tests, failed terror tests and makes sure you won`t get Terror-outnumbered.

When I can charge an engine of the gods, I want to be sure I`ll do it, and not fail a stupid fear roll blink.gif

You should put your list in an easier format and remove the pointless information to make it easier to go through. I am gonna have to say if there is a "max of 8 PD tourny" there is entirely no point in going magic. Right now you are looking at 2 dice for your unmarked wizard which will end up getting dispelled until your opponent runs out of scrolls along with a 1 dice flickering 5 dice gateway phase which is easily counter by the 3 dice 2 scrolls for the majority of the game(unless you somehow manage to not miscast at all). If anything I would rather go 3 level 2s all tzeetch and just hardcast flickering fire on lots of dice. This is the best spell you can manage with these rules.

You are putting too many points on a unit that is going to die fast and easily. Either go with the flail or the spear/axe but not both and light armor is kinda pushing. Too much VP for your opponent

Why even bother with the mark or musician? This group will never accomplish anything just stick it in a corner behind terrain leave it for table quarters.

Its going to do as well as any other Gateway, bunkering, knight, minimual core army does. And why use the warshrine it doesn't help that much over all better of with 2 spawn to help with redirecting and tar pitting units. Drop some knight and bring a hellcannon or something else your army is predictable for any quality tourney player as all your units do the same thing. And with a possable 40 shots a turn your fast cav will be made ineffective. So first turn shot fast cav with 2 units both dead next turn shoot heavy cav reduce effectivness. Chariot probable cause some hurt. I use dark elves also and 40 us shooting can produce 80 shots. Nothing against gateway or magic but just add more variety to the list itself not enough threats to keep the other person guessing.

Seconded. I'd also like to see the enchanted shield on your lord, a steed for your level 2 (as well as the armour save, it gives you options for what unit he runs with) and MoS on your warshrine (with MoS and a BSB nearby, it can be a really good tarpit for enemy monsters). Dropping a knight from your warbanner unit, much though it sucks to have to do it, would free up enough points.

Another thing to consider, is whether those knights would benefit more from the banner of rage than MoS and the warbanner. Having such a devastating canopener to point at stubborn/unbreakable/daemonic/undead units may be worth the liability of frenzy. If you find you prefer that change, then dropping MoS on the marauders and l/armour and throwing spears from the horsemen may be necessary, as you'll need a second unit of hounds. You may find that, because of the chosen, your units of knights can be a bit more selective about their targets, so you don't need that much hitting power - hard to say without playing a game or two either way.

champion on chosen and give him favor of the gods. this makes it so yoiu can get alot better rolls for your bunker. If possible i would suggest taking a second warshrine too, with 3 eye of the gods rolls and favor of the gods helping you out you have a really decent chance of getting the stubborn ward save biggrin.gif

1) Gotta say, I love Tzeentch. 3 casters with min power dice should do wonders. You will make opponents very unhappy when spells hit.

2) Hope you don't put lord with Knights. You will want 6 turns of Gateway. Disc on lord is always better (with Eye).

3) Per other Chosen threads, MoT with Rage Banner is just sik. That's what I'm running this weekend at Alamo IGT.

4) Shrine will be IFFY, I put 2 in my list, and it's still IFFY. Dedicating shrine to Chosen?


Certainly a fun list....I believe it has lots of chaos goodness. Between IFFY magic and IFFY Shrine....you will be at a disadvantage for the Average army. Tactics are a must with a list like this...very tricky.

Can often win on turn 5/6. Even if you lose you Chosen block.

MoT with Rage Banner????? Why??? A six up ward save instead of total immunity, sorry don't get it, must be missing something.

The shrine is basically dedicated to the Chosen, and the reason for them is, they are just soo good, no-one wants to fight them,

And ys, after a re thinking, agree the lord should be up on a disc, also just to go wherever he likes.
