doc said i should do an official app for membership, so here.
Hi, my name is Crystal. I have the pleasure of being married to Your favorite guy and mine, Doc. Since we're getting another comp and 2 copies of l4d2, I'll be able to play and stuff. I ordered modern warfare2 for doc to play. maybe i'll play it every once in a while. we primarily do pc, till i can wring enough $ out of Doc to get an old ps3. i refuse to have a stack of ps2 games rendered useless by the purchase of a newer model. so i want an old one. and they cost more. coz they're more useful. but until then, i'm a l4d and l4d2 pc player. *joy* oh, and please don't hold any shooting of your ass on my part against me in considering this app for membership. thank you. (i'm gonna shoot you anyway, so don't worry about it.) So can I join your little club? I don't see why not, i'm here all the time anyway. sheesh. Anyway, I'm gonna make my name =cGc=CrimsonTide. Awesome. I kinda figured you'd settle on that name.
The old PS3s are awesome, btw, but be careful. I had a launch 60GB PS3 and it just died on me a couple of months ago. Like $600 down the drain. "General hardware failure" apparently. Nice flashing yellow light. And the hard drives are encrypted, so it's not like I can plug it into my old laptop to get the save data off of it. And you'd think I could just put the old hard drive in the new PS3 and do a backup, but no....apparently the hard drive is linked to the motherboard of the PS3 it was installed in, and anytime you try to put it in a different PS3, it forces you to reformat the drive.  Seems that a lot of the 60GB ones are starting to do that lately; not sure if it's a hardware thing or if it has something to do with the firmware updates that playstation network releases. I got a new PS3 slim and I bought another PS2 so I could play my old games still. Kinda sucks that they took out the backwards compatibility just to make it cheaper, but whatever. The PS3 is still pretty awesome. And yeah, you can join, obviously.
