[Sayori Wakaba]

Her worries were finally coming true. Yuuki would hardly confide in her anymore. Yuuki had so many secrets and Yori didn't know one of them. They were best friends right? Then why...why would Yuuki hide things from her? She had to get away for awhile and since it was Saturday it was the best time to do so. She went out into the town, down to the ice-cream shop. Man, Ice-cream shops were a good place to calm girls down. She went to the counter and order her ice-cream. "Chocolate chip" The man nodded to her, she was always in this place for thinking, so the man had already got use to her orders and what she wanted. She let her eyes glance around the surroundings, she was alone right now. "Today seems lonely." Which it was, she use to do alot of things with Yuuki, but now they hardly do anything together. All Yuuki has on her mind is mostly Zero lately, maybe they're dating, so she thought.

"Here you go." The man gave her the ice-cream, as she paid him for it. Going to a table and sitting down at it. Her tongue sliding over the creamy surface of the ice-cream, before looking out the window she was by. The street was filled with different people, children too. She leaned her forehead onto it, before letting her eyes close. While keeping her tongue on her ice-cream. She was so worried about Yuuki, but didn't want to pary into something Yuuki apparently didn't want her knowing about. The distance between the two now, seemed FAR away. They weren't as close as they were before. The time they could share anything with each other, or maybe it was only her thinking they could. She felt her best friend slipping away and there was nothing she could do about it.

A sigh came from a girl, who was walking down as her red eyes stared at the ground. Yuuki felt bad, that she was speanding lots of her time with XZero, it was mostly with him, if she wasn't with Zero, it was in her dorm, talkign to Chairman or even having to Kaname. She felt bad about not really talking to Yori, her best friend ever. She was having a break, from everything. Though she was worried about Zero. Yuuki sighed again, she was doing it again, but she shook her head. After seeing him become a Vampire she seemed to want to much sure he was okay.

She looked around. She wasn't scared about being out alone, as Yuuki did remember when she was waiting for Kaname, and a vampire came towards her before bowing to Kaname. She never did understand that at all but Yuuki pushed it from her mind as she didn't want to think about it now. She was already having a small hard time. She wanted to make it up to Yori, if only she knew where she would be, but Yuuki did not she would go get ice-cream.

Yuuki walked towards the ice-scream shop, and pushed on the door lightly, before glancing around and Yuuki smiled softly when she saw Yori and Yuuki walked over to her best friend "Yori-chan! I've been looking for you, I am sorry for not speanding much time with you" Yuuki said.

The tiny ring escaped the doors, as people enter and left. The last ring caused Yori's eyes to open. Before hearing her best friends voice calling out her name. Yori turned to look at Yuuki. This was a shock, she couldn't believe it! Yuuki was here, she smiled at Yuuki with a welcoming smile. "You've been looking for me?" She asked, before licking her ice-cream. "I haven't been any where but the usual spots." She explained, she wouldn't mind for Yuuki to join her for this of course. The two had somethings to catch up on anyways.

"You seem worried. Whats up?" She could always tell if Yuuki was thinking of something or was worried about things. She wanted to help Yuuki, she wanted Yuuki to confide in her. "And no big deal Yuuki. You have things to do, it's only natural." She did mind, but yet she didn't. She knew Yuuki had other things to do, being a perfect at school and all. "Anything new happen lately?" She asked, before tilting her head to the side some. She wondered if she confessed to Kaname too. "Have you done any confessing?" Oh and the rumors, she had to know what was going on between her and Zero. "Oh, and the rumors?"

She waited for Yuuki to respond to all of her questions, before asking this one. "People seem to think you and Zero are dating. Is it true? " She hoped it wasn't, cause she only knew about Yuuki crushin' on Kaname, if she didn't know about who Yuuki was liking, then she was completely hopeless for Yuuki.

A smile came onto her face, like Yuuki always ended up having. Sonner or later. She nodded her head, before taking a seat and she looked at Yori "Yes, ofcourse Yori-chan! Your my best friend after all" she said, smiling brightly still as she watcher her friend, before nodding her head and she stared out the window. She blinked a few times with a small sigh before she stared at Yori.

Yuuki stopped staring at Yori. Before smiling once again "Oh, nothing. Just the same old things, besides Zero always staying away from me. Which is new" Yuuki said. It was, and it made Yuuki fell bad, she didn't understand, as when she did see him. Zero was the same old Zero, the boy she grown up for the past four years before shaking her head at Yori "No, nothing new has happened. Just the old things happening again, like always!" Yuuki said happily before her eyes widen. Confessing? Rumors? It had seemed like Yuuki lost track of what had been doing on at the school.

"What?!?" Yuuki said, falling off her chair and she was only then, slightly blushing before she shook her head rather quickly till her red checks where gone and she looked at Yori before she got up, and Yuuki sighed before shaking her head once again "No. It isn't true. I just seem to try care for Zero more... because he wasn't been very well." Yuuki said, smiling though she sighed softly.

The words coming from Yuuki's mouth pleased her. But she had to question the whole 'best friend' thing. Since it seemed she spent more time with Zero then her. All though she could kind of understand, she grew up with Zero and not her. It sort of made her heart ache for some reason. Yori didn't want to admit the obvious. "Nothing new, eh?" She asked, only nodding to Yuuki. The whole Zero staying away from her was new. "Zero's staying away from you? Why? Need me to talk to him?" She couldn't believe that jerk, Yuuki devoted her time in taking care of him and he couldn't even care for her back?! This made Yori want to be violent for once.

She saw Yuuki fall back out of her seat out of shock. Maybe the rumors were fake after all. Though that was still questionable, but she wouldn't go into it. "Yuuki, have you even told Kaname-san yet?" Yuuki keeps going and avoiding the truth, or trying to skip out on letting Kaname know about her feelings. She wanted to go and yell it out for Yuuki, but she wouldn't for Yuuki's sake. Though it was tempting! She finished her ice-cream, before nodding to Yuuki. "Well, no worry then. Rumors are started because of jealously or bitter feelings." She, herself was sort of having bitter feelings of jealously. But she wouldn't admit that out loud

Yuuki looked at Yori, smiling still. She was her best friend, she wouldn't ever hurt Yori, as Yuuki would always look after her. She nodded her head at her friend, nothing new happaned at all, oh besides finding out Zero was a vampire. Yuuki looked at Yori, and nodded her head, though sadness fell over her face as she stared into her lap and Yuuki sighed softly "Yes, I don't know why. It makes me get worried" she said in a soft tone, before looking at Yori and she smiled "It's fine, I think he just needs to relax" Yuuki added.

The prefect shook her head as she looked at Yori "No... but I think he already knows. His been watching me, all my life" she said before staring out the window, and Yuuki was still smiling. To her, Kaname had been watching her for her whole life. When she was only five, all she could remember was that bad vampire, and then Kaname saving her. She looked back at Yori before laughing lightly "Jealous of what? Maybe the girls are liking Zero now" Yuuki said with a laugh and she smiled at Yori "What other things have I seemed to miss out on" she asked.

It seemed Zero was saved from her wrath for today. "Allright. But you shouldn't let him get his way all the time, Yuuki." She huffed out, now she was craving for a drink or something. "Lets order some drinks, Yuuki." She smiled at her, she loved this right now. Being out with Yuuki and being able to actually talk like they use to. Well, they talked like they use to yeah, but Yuuki wasn't being all the way honest with Yori, but she didn't know that. But yet a side of her did. She knew Yuuki was hiding a big secret from her. But she wouldn't push Yuuki into telling her.

"He already knows huh?" She asked, waving for the waitress. When the waitress approached, Yori ordered a lime tea, as the waitress waited for Yuuki to order and when Yuuki did order, she went off to get their drinks. "Then, he is the shy one?" She couldn't truly understand the Kaname and Yuuki relationship, but she hoped everything worked out for her best friend. "Its been awhile." Her words seemed to trail off some, as her eyes gazed out the window. "I mean, us being out like this."

"Maybe the girls are starting to like Zero. He isn't bad looking, Yuuki." She explained, she hated the fan girls and she hoped the girls wouldn't go fan crazy over him. But it seemed the cold attitude Zero gave off, didn't let him have that type of fan club. "The night class fan girls are hard enough to deal with. We don't need Zero fans." She giggled some, she tried to make a cheery joke, she didn't want to see Yuuki worried.

Yuuki laughed softly again as she looked at Yori and shook her head "I don't. I mostly just punch him till he finally gives up! But then he ends up pushing him" she said, only to giggle softly when she remembered one main time that happen. But it wasn't very often it did happen and she nodded her head to Yori "Sure! It's great to be hanging out with each other again!" Yuuki added, smiling as she looked at her friend and the prefect nodded her head once more.

"Maybe..." Yuuki said, she didn't know if he did or didn't. Though Zero knew! Maybe it was because he knew her very well now, but she was sure Yori knew her better. Yuuki shrugged. Kaname did seem to be shy. But mostly just the one to stand in front, or the back and say nothing. She watched Yori before she stared out the window as well. Yuuki nodded her head softly "It has, oh if only I wasn't so busy." she said sinking low in her seat before she looked at Yori, and giggled.

She stopped giggling, and Yuuki looked at Yori and she nodded her head "Yea, he is. Maybe you like him now, Yori-chan!" she said smiling at her best friend, though it was only meant to be a joke, unless she did like him. But Yuuki doubted ut before looking at Yori. She woundered what it would be like with a Zero fan club. That would only mean trouble for herself and she nodded her head "Yea, if we do. I'll never get any rest from running away from the girls!" she said, it was true of Yuuki getting chased by them, only because Kaname talked to her mostly.

She nodded to Yuuki's words, before smiling. "Good, don't want Yuuki-chan going too soft." She giggled, as the waitress brought the drinks back. She got her lime tea, before anything else. She stuck her tongue into it's juicy goodness. She loved the taste of anything lime, she was a sour-addict it, not a sweet-addict it. "Maybe?" She looked at Yuuki as she heard that word. "Maybe's got nothing to do with it, if he hasn't made his move by now. Then you know his shy." She wasn't going to say the other answer to it. Which he was might not be interested. She didn't want to hurt Yuuki, she wanted to give her a happy answer for her love interest.

"I agree, you're too busy most of the time. You're making me hate the male gender, Yuuki." She stuck her tongue out at her friend, it was cover in green. She would only act childish around Yuuki, no one else. Not even her grandparents. But once Yuuki's joke came from her mouth. She only raised her eye brow. Her like someone, that was WAY out of the question. "Me? Like someone? Funny Yuuki." She smiled at Yuuki, Yori hadn't had any interest in anyone here actually. None of them caught her eye or interest.

And the whole fan club thing. She could image it now. Oh no, Yuuki. Run! None of them would leave Yuuki along, knowing very well Yuuki was the closest to Zero. "That would be entertaining. Maybe I should encourage it." She giggled, jokingly of course.

Yuuki smiled back at Yori, and nodded her head. As Yori got lime tea, Yuuki really only wanted some plan old tea and she smiled before looking at Yori and she smiled again "His known me for ten years. Maybe his still trying to get use to so many people around or, that or my job and helping Zero out!" she said, looking at Yori. She did know Kaname cared a lot for her, as he always been there to help her. Though Zero was helping her by now a lot, but she helped him the most.

A giggle came from the prefect, as she stared at her best friend before shaking her head "Don't blame males, I am just doing my job for Chairman!" she said before shaking her head as she giggled again. She just felt like herself around Yori, though she couldn't be her full self. That was only around Zero, but then again. That was her other self and Yuuki let out a faint sigh.

She nodded her head, as Yuuki looked at Yori "Yea... but Yori-Chan! You must like somebody, best if it's from Day Class!" she said, grinning. She knew Yori didn’t like any of the guys, she was really the only girl to like none of the guys. Yuuki even knew some people who liked Zero, but he would just scare them away. She only had a faint smile on her face now, as she stared at her tea, before taking a few sips from it. Before she stared at Yori, and she shook her head "No, that'll be a bad idea" Yuuki said, pushing her tea away on the table and she sighed softly. It was be too, because then she never could keep her promise to Zero, but if he did get a fan club that only meant a girl from it would get hurt!

Yori saw Yuuki was smiling at her, which made her smile too. Then she explained about how she knew Kaname for 10 years now, Yori nodded her head. Listening to her words, before thinking of how to respond. She truly didn't know anything about Kaname or any of the other guys at school, she knew a little about Zero, that was about it. "You help a lot of people, Yuuki-chan." Was Yori's reply, she was probably making Kaname jealous, if not, then he had no feelings for Yuuki. But of course, she didn't know anything about it.

She heard Yuuki remark about her blaming the males. Hahaha, she could only let a small evil laugh run through her mind, before responding. "But its run blaming the male gender." She was right, it was indeed fun. She started to sip at her lime tea once more, before staring off a bit. She couldn't help but to wonder what Yuuki was keeping from her, but she would probably tell Yori one day, right? Then going into the conversation about the fan girls for Zero and her encouraging it. "Hahaha, you know it would be funny if you were in my shoes, Yuuki-chan."

Yori looked back at Yuuki and smiled. "Don't worry about it, you have two handsome boys to protect you. Zero and Kaname."

Seeing Yori smile, Yuuki felt a lot happier as she laughed before she sticked her own tounge at her best friend. She was happy that she would always cont on Yori, after knowing her for so long, even longer then she knew Zero maybe before Yuuki heard Yori and she just shrugged "Maybe, it's really just my job." she said smiling once more. Not many people siad that, but Zero said it once, and even Yori now. She didn't care really, just as long as she could help me, everything was to be fine really.

Shaking her head, Yuuki only given Yori a small nod of her head, before she stared at her tea, only to take another sip before smiling at Yori. She laughed at the thought of her, being in her best friends, Yori's shoes and she smiled "Okay, why don't you let me borrow them now?" she asked, before Yuuki started to laugh. She stopped as Yuuki blushed slightly. Kaname did protect her, a few times as well but now it seemed he didn't a whole lot. It was like he told Zero to protect her. Was that why he got worried about her at times?

Yori listened carefully to her best friends words, before nodding. "Just a job, eh? I'm not sure it's just a job to you, Yuuki-chan." If it was just a job for her, she took it pretty seriously. "But Yuuki-chan, can I start protecting you?" Yori didn't want it to be just a -job-. She wanted her best friend to count her on, to lean on her when she needed it. "You can always lean on me for support, Yuuki." Yori was speaking from the heart, she was being honest. When Yuuki hurt, Yori did too. She could basically read Yuuki's feelings, as if Yuuki was an open book.

Then the conversation seemed to escape Yori's mind, as the whole 'shoes' joke came out. "Sure!" She giggled, she leaned down to take off her shoes jokingly, before reaching down to grab her drink. "There Yuuki-chan, my shoes are off. Take them!" She finished her tea, before a thought came across her mind. Yuuki hadn't met her family yet, but she had met Yuuki's, or so she thought. "Yuuki-chan. This Christmas, wanna come to my house?"

Yuuki waved her hand as she looked at Yori before sighing. "It is, I mean, the chairman places a lot of trust into me, and I can't fail him" she replied, as she had to keep the Day Class safe, she had to keep working hard as she wasn't going to allow herself to fall back, as she didn't want to know what would happen it everything just fell out. "Y-Y-Yori-chan? I don't need any protecting but I will come to you if I need help" she said, though her did hurt her to say it, as she couldn't always go to her best friend, as some things she had to keep to herself.

Worried stuck in face as she looked at Yori, before laugjing and she closed her eyes. "I'm fine. I like where I am now, and what I'm doing" she said placing her hand on her chest as she started to think about it. Protecting Cross Academy, keeping her promise to Zero and making sure Kaname was doing well. Her eyes widen as she heard Yori speak, and she titled her head. "Well. I've got to see if I'm allowed, and it's it's fine with you're family." Christmas at another place, which wasn't her home, but with her best friend who had parents unlike her, but she keeped on smiling.
