The Return

[Kiyo]

A figure loomed through the markets of the capital city, overrun by human-kind. For hundreds years now the Dark Kingdom had been through turmoil and hard times. Long ago humans returned to the land, and the king and queen ordered their subjects to live among the human race. The king vowed that the heirs would return, to rebuild the empire, and now that time has come. The four heirs have come to fulfill their father's word.

The shadow loomed between people, glaring at all the change that had been made. The humans had filled the streets with things of pleasure and greed- things of bright colors. This is what they called fresh and new? He pulled his hood down further over his head, eyes casting from person to person. Here and there he would recognize a Dark One hidden among them, but it was seldom.

The man was looking for something- someone, perhaps- among the crowd. He slipped from side to side to avoid being brushed by a passing person. "So, back in the city again.." he spoke softly to himself. He gazed up at the looming castle, abandoned in its glory. "..and soon the place this all began."

[Aliena]

Aliena stood in the middle of the town completely lost. She knew she was in the shopping area because of all the stores. "Which way is which?" she whined. She was at a fork turn to go further into either side of the shopping district. She turned left and saw a lot of people. "Well this still doesn't tell me anything. I wonder what town I am located in, in the first place."

Aliena sighed, giving up and just flopped down in the middle of the walk way. People grumbling at her stupidity. Then she just casted her purple eyes up at the sky. She heard many people talk about their day and what they still plan to do. She saw little kids playing around, "I wish I was little again." she said.

[Kiyo]

A deep grunt expelled from the figure, whose path Aliena crossed. He quickly shied out of her touch, as if it physically hurt him in some way. He seemed surprised, in some way, though it was hard to tell for his face was hidden. White bandages were visible around his neck, and his arms hung loosely at his hips, strapped at the back. He could easily free his reach, but he made no move to.

"Lost?" he asked. He looked about him, and all the people. "I suppose a Dark One could easily find herself lost among all these...humans. Anyway, you'd best not stay here." He continued walking as if nothing had happened, as if he hadn't even spoken. There was no sign of whether or not he was to be followed. He only slipped into the crowd, obviously black.

[Aliena]

Aliena raise her eye brow as she watched him walk off. She wasn't going to let him get away that easily. If he knows how to get around this town, no way will I let him walk off! She cried out into her head and took off at a good speed and did her best to keep up with him. She saw him not to far off.

She quickly picked up her pace, "Hey..HEY...WAIT!!" she shrieked towards him. She finally caught up to the man and stood infront of him. "HEy why is it you ask if I am lost and then walk off?" she asked. She stood there panting a bit. I am so out of shape. she thought to herself.

[Kiyo]

"You're in my way..." he observed boredly. He looked past her with dull yellow eyes, then at her. With a shrug he answered her, "I figured you'd follow should need be." Again his words were short. He didn't really seem to talk much. He observed her for another moment, and spoke once more. "Where are you trying to get to then?" though he doubted he could give much an answer.

He was completely off topic in his mind. He couldn't stop thinking of how his return would come. He thought of his brother, who had never been the same since the night they left. He wondered of his sisters, and where they had gone. Did anyone still occupy the palace? Had they perhaps long since returned? By the looks of all the humans, though, he decided probably not. But then, where were they?

[Aliena]

SHe scratched the back of her head in wonder. "Actally I have no idea. Alls I know is I am lost in a weird human filled town." she said. She crossed her arms of her chest while trying to think of where she wanted to head and shrugged, "Okay, that doesn't help." she mumbled to herself. "I hate being lost." she groaned.

She just remembered that here as that man standing infront of her. "Sorry I rant and babble a lot." she explained. "Is there any other Dark ones besides us residing in this town?" she asked looking around.

[Kiyo]

"Shh.." he whispered. "You shouldn't speak so openly of such things. You've obviously been lost in history for a long time." There was almost a hint of mockery in his voice. "The Dark Ones have been living among the humans for decades."

He looked up to the castle once more. "The kingdom won't have to wait much longer. Our empire will be rebuilt. The Dark Ones will rise soon." He seemed to realise he was speaking and cut off. "I suggest you soon choose a destination or you will forever get nowhere." With that he began to walk again, probably agitated with himself.

[Aliena]

Aliena knew she was smart from her long years of living. She knew the stories of the Royals and such. She was now serious and was not letting him leave without giving her an answer or two. She swiftly blocked his path once more, "I have not been lost in history for a long time thank you. I have not seen a Dark one for ages. So I guess I am showing my hatred for these creatures now since I am not the only Dark one around." she explained calmly.

"I may be getting annoying but get over it." she said, "I have a feeling I know exactly what your talking about." she had a smug look plastered on her face. Her arms crossed over her chest once more. "Why do you say the Dark ones will arise once again and our kingdom rebuilt?" she asked her eyebrow raised.

[Kiyo]

"Uh-huh..." he grunted unconvincingly. "You're silly." He listened on, continuing to walk as she trotted after him. He didn't wait in the slightest; he kept a long, brisque stride, chain jangling. He attracted a great deal of attention with his weapons exposed, but it wasn't like that was against the law or anything. Upon her question he slowed up to look at her as he said, "The Royals are returning. The Dark Ones in hiding will soon be called out." For all the centuries and decades past, never had he felt so close to those words. The city would be restored to its original luster in a short time to come.


((In my improvisation I missed many key points and most of these posts have been lies. XD The humans know of the Dark Ones and all the royals have already returned. So it'd probably be best if I just started a new thread.))
