Below is Ze Forumjump: use that to navigate through Death Calls more easily!

Welcome to the fifth(!) installment of the Death Calls saga. Okay, well maybe the 4.5 installment. As usual, we've been busy updating the place, so it wouldn't hurt to check out the Rules again.

blahblah...It's Spring now. *crosses eyes* Maybe.

Did you know this was a scrolly box of doom, even though it did not look like it?

If I keep adding stuff... it should, in theory, scroll.

-Fights with table for hours- AHA!

...

AHA!

The light fawn pelt moved slowly with every step. Her fur was short, and she enjoyed the warmth that came with spring. She walked on stilt-like legs, long and slender. These were her life lines. With her legs she could get away from almost anything, without them she would be a sitting duck. Her claws clicked softly, catching on the gaps in the concrete here, trying to urge her to go faster, to run. Her head was low, dark eyes ever watching, silky ears pricked to catch every sound that bounced off the dark walls. Her long-furred tail matched the curve of her hind legs, the silky fur swaying with every step. Her torso was tighter than it should have been, were she still with those God-forsaken humans. Her ribs stood out more than they should have, and every time she took a breath, they became even more visible.

She walked slowly, cautiously. She had heard rumors that Death Stalkers resided here, but she was brave and stubborn. Possibly more of the latter. She was searching for something, and she knew what to look for, she just hadn't found it yet. And it wasn't like she could go around asking random dogs, that was way too dangerous. She always relied on her speed to get her out of situations she didn't want to be in, but she wondered how long it would be before her luck ran out in that subject. It wasn't like she could keep running forever. Eventually she wouldn't be able to outrun a dog, and she would be forced to fight. Oh, she hoped that day didn't come during the time of Raven.

She watched and listened, hoping that she wouldn't meet a Death Stalker. But that was all too likely. Her nose would most likely be the first to alert her to another dog, and from there she could make up her mind whether or not to run. Of course, she wasn't afraid of having to fight, she just preferred to not get hurt. If she got injured, her blood would inveitably leave a trail, and she would be easier to track. It was quite simple, really.

Chimmy went on another one of her stalks for the cat that has been stealing her food constantly. She searched where the cat was normally seen taking her food behind the sushi shop. Chimmy laid on her stomach waiting silently with both ears propped up alert for everything to come in a foot ball length radius. She could tell which feet were peoples and which were other animals. The cat she waited for had a certain type of step like everyone else. This cat was silent when it stepped, almost invisible, but Chimmy trained her ears to hear to the silence from the cat.

Chimmy heard a rustle come from above the small shop. It was indeed the cat. She readied herself, and got into her position to pounce. She watched closely from all angles, directly ahead and with her peripheral vision. A tiny crumb from the roofs interior skidded down the angle and into the gutter causing a silent thud. Chimmy's ear twitched to the direction from which it came. She could see from her peripheral vision a black figure hopping down onto the dumpsters lid without any sound and onto the ground. This cat was indeed talented. Chimmy starred as the cat took it's place at the smaller trash can set next to the dumpster.

Chimmy scooted forward cautiously trying not to make a sound or get into the breeze, making sure she didn't make a single move that would give away her position. She waited a few minutes more for that cat to get comfortable and unaware. Then when the cat had it's back turned Chimmy pounced at the cat like a lioness on the prowl. Chimmy grabbed the cat by it's fur behind the neck and swung it around in the air. The cat squealed and clawed at her nose. Chimmy reacted viciously to the scratches and bite harder at the cats skin. Chimmy found this fight to be harder than she would have thought. Cat verses dog. She always thought the dog would when due to the size, and of course the teeth that were much more aggressive. But somehow every time time she fought against this cat it managed to get away. 'Not this time.' she thought to herself.

The cat clung her claw into Chimmys upper lip dug into it. Chimmy whimpered and let her grip go of the cat. She swung her head around throwing the cat across the ally. Chimmy growled and followed after it as it pranced down the ally getting away. She dug her claws into the pavement and pushed against it making herself move faster and faster. She was nearly and inch away from the prey when a sent blew up her nose. It was another dog. She didn't know if it was a dog from the packs but she knew she only smelt one dog. Chimmy's attention on the cat faded and it got away up onto the roof of a building. She still ran as she sniffed the air and slowed herself to a stop once she noticed the cat was gone. She had to be careful when there was another dog in the perimeter. It could be a dangerous dog that would start a fight with her. If she was lucky it wasn't but, she had to stay cautious just in case.
