General -- OOC


No harassing. You may not harass another player.

No cursing. Do not curse out of character, period. Keep all your posts clean and family-friendly.

No stealing. This includes images, characters, and posts. Anyone found stealing content will be banned from the site immediately.

No chatspeak. This means if your sentences do not start with a capital letter; do not end with a period, exclamation point, or question mark, &c., don't post it!

Respect the mods, admins, and other players. A disrespectful member can be banned if it gets out of hand.


OOC -- Joining


You must be at least thirteen years to join. As per Probards' own rules, you must be thirteen years or older to join the site. If it is found that you are younger than thirteen, you will be banned from the site and your account terminated without warning.

One character per account. You may not play more than one character on a single account. NPCs are the only exception.

Your username is your character's name. If your character's name is Butch, then your account name must match. You may not use symbols, numbers, and other characters in the name. The only exception is if you have not registered a character yet.

NOTE: InvisionFree does not allow name changes made by members. Therefore, please consider your character name before registering. If you do need your name changed, PM Fenrir or Fritz with your current name and the new name. Also, remember to join with correct name capitalization.

Domestic dogs only. You may not play anything that is not a domesticated dog. No wolves, coyotes, cats, or wolf-dog hybrids.

No pregnant dogs. You may not register with a pregnant character.

The charcter bio title is your character's name. It's easier to keep track of who's who if the thread is correctly labelled.

Research your character's breed. You must have at least a basic knowledge of the dog you're playing before you register. This includes breed appearance (build, colors, markings), size (height and weight), temperament, and rarity/accessibility.


OOC -- Images


All images must be PG-13 rated or below. You may not post images that are excessively violent or lewd.

Signatures must be IC. Don't use a lolcats or a Happy Bunny sig, for example.

No page-stretching pics. All images must be 500px wide or smaller. This goes for table images, sigs, and character pics.

Image sources must be cited. If you do any sort of photo manipulation and put it on the site (tables, sigs, &c.) and the images you used are not your own, you must credit the owner. "dog pic © xPhotographerx at Flickr.com"


IC -- General


No wolfspeak. You may not use wolfspeak in character, no exception. An offender will be warned and will be requested to have their post(s) fixed. If it persists, the offender will be temporarily banned.

Cursing is allowed in small portions. Cursing is allowed only in dialogue and thought and can not exceed the PG-13 rating. However, the "F-word" is banned. If it is felt that you are cursing excessively, you will be warned.

Don't double post. If you need to add something to your post, use the "Edit" feature.

Do not post only OOC comments. If there is a need to stop the roleplay, then any OOC comments must be taken to PMs or the OOC boards provided.

Remember to use "SPAG." Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar are a must.

Use quotation marks for speech. Speech must be enclosed by "quotation marks." Simply bolding text for speech is not allowed. Quotation marks are not necessary for thought, however.

No posts with fewer than 140 words are allowed.


IC -- Fighting


Don't be a twink. In a fight, you may not autohit (powerplay) another character, kill another character without the player's permission, or godmode your character. The offender will be warned and can be banned if twinking becomes a problem. Please see our topic on Powerplaying and Godmoding

Play fair. Don't post a comment in which your character attacks excessively, ignores the other character, is never injured, &c. Again, don't be a twink.

Be realistic. Your character is not going to win if he's outnumbered, severely wounded, &c. A dog can only take so many hits until he can no longer fight and/or dies. Certain dogs were simply not meant to fight, i.e. English bulldogs are not fighters by any means or stretch of the imagination (this goes back to researching your breed).

Admins and mods will not judge a fight, but we will always supervise them to make sure things don't get out of hand. If there is a problem, deal with it first with the offending player and address the admins (Fenrir and Fritz) about it.


IC -- Breeding

No graphic breeding. If you do, your post will be deleted, and you will be severely warned.

Force breeding is allowed. You must get the other player's permission first, though -- AND IT STILL CAN'T BE GRAPHIC.

Breeding must be done in the correct season. If your character is bred out of season, you will not get any pups. There is a handy topic called "Weather" in the Updates that details the seasons and breeding permissions.
