General Rules
the only place you are allowed to post before you are accepted is the face claim. mind you this is only to reserve, not to claim. once a week is up, your celeb is fair game. please do not post anywhere else before your application is accepted. i love patient people. i apologize if it takes me some time to take a look at your app, but chances are that the wait won't be too long.

this site is rated M for mature. this means there will be violence, language, sex, drugs, all of that crap going on here. if you aren't comfortable with that, then i suggest that you hit that little red 'X' at the top of your screen. however, i do require that if things get out of hand, you leave us a warning in the title. just put [M] or [R] and you'll be fine.

one character per account, even if they're twins. as far as how many characters you can have, i think i'm going to put the limit at three. if you're playing a canon, i can't stress enough how important they are, and how they demand activity. i know that all of you have lives and such, but if you're playing three canons and go inactive, there goes three important characters off the site. on the other hand, if you have three characters and would like to play more, please ask me first. if i think you'd be able to keep them all active, then i have absolutely no problem with that. =] i'm a little strict on this rule, seeing as i can hardly handle more than two characters myself. i envy multitaskers, so impress me. haha
also, if you already have made two female characters, i require your third to be a male. i don't want this site to be overrun with girls.

when you register, register as your characters first and last name, the first letter of both capitalized.
    ex.
    Elias McCullough
    and not:
    elias mccullough
    OR
    elias
    OR
    stargirl345
keep in mind that on invisionfree, you cannot go to your profile and change your display name! (if you don't register with the name correctly, we reserve the right to change it and/or delete the account. this is a HUGE pet peeve of emily's.)

if you're not active within the first few days of activating, chances are i'm going to delete you. i'm sorry, it's just a huge pet peeve of mine. at most it should take three days to finish an application-- i'm giving you a week. if you haven't posted it by then, you're gone. if you leave me a note letting me know you need more time, i'm totally fine with that. just let me know. =]

yes, you can roleplay in more than one place at a time. i have no problem with that. just make sure the time frames don't get all screwed up. i tend to do that a lot. xP

respect the admins and moderators! what they say goes. don't back-talk, don't be disrespectful, don't whine about every little thing. we're all trying our best here, and if you have a suggestion for the site, we will gladly listen, so long as it isn't rude. basically don't be a jackass, it's pretty simple, guys. ontop of respecting the admins and moderators decisions, respect your fellow members and roleplayers! i can't tell you how many times i've seen people making fun of others on the site, and i can't stand it. i will not tolerate any racist, sexist, or rude remarks ANYWHERE out of character. you won't even get warned, you will be out of here faster then you can say flapjacks.

overall, have fun. you guys know this one. i really encourage for our members to have a bond or some sort of friendship. post on the cbox, get to know one another. guests are encouraged to post on the cbox and ask questions. i love people who ask questions, mostly because i'm not used to knowing the answers. =] i know i might come off as a little scary sometimes, but honestly, i'm a nice person.

Roleplaying, Posting, Signature and Avatar Rules
first off, godmoding and powerplaying. i won't tolerate it at all. basically, it means controlling someone else's character. this really gets under my skin, considering that it's happened to me a lot. it's annoying. while it may be fun for you, i can assure the other person is not very happy. i'm going to warn you if i see too much of it, and though i don't really mind little things so much, i do mind when it comes to bigger things... fighting, for example.

mary sue's and gary stu's will be burned. perfect characters are very, very boring. everyone has their flaws. i'm not going to accept any characters that are all super-perfect and crap. no one likes characters like that, and most likely people won't roleplay with you.

i allow fighting, drugs, sex, killing, all of that stuff, just as long as you clear it with the other character first! in other words, no killing someone unless they're okay with that. xP no. power. playing. i can't stress that enough, kids.

all roleplaying should be done in third person. no exceptions. speech should be bolded or maybe even colored, and thought should be italicized. make your posts pretty! add icons, lyrics, quotes, whatever you want-- it makes it look all badass. just don't make it look all cluttered. that could get a little annoying. post in size 0 or 1 font. experiment. there is a preview button to see if you like how it looks before you post it. run your posts through spell check, if you want.

this is a literate site. this means you should use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. the minimum word limit is probably somewhere around 200-300 words. i'm asking for two to three paragraphs a post, that's all. it's not really that hard, and if you get into the post, you'll find yourself past that limit with ease. put 'rosethorn' as the password in your appilication. if you run out of stuff to write about, think of the weather, their feelings, a trail of thoughts, anything. something will spark your imagination, trust me.

stay in character. if you make someone who is a total badass, don't make him go out and give flowers to everyone, or something. yes, they can change gradually, i don't have a problem with that at all. just don't do something all drastic to their personality out of nowhere.

only real people can be play bys. no text, animals or any other sort of images for you avatar, thanks. you can't use yourself as a playby... even if you're really pretty. use either a celebrity, musician or internet celeb. if you can't think of anyone, feel free to ask me. my sister says i'm a playby whiz. xP

make sure the playby matches the character. in other words, brad pitt can't be a seventeen year old, or something ridiculous like that. in addition to this rule, i don't want to see a bunch of nasty pictures of your character on your application, and certainly not in your signature. make it acceptable and not totally disgusting.

as far as signature sizes are concerned, i'm not all that great with the numbers and such. if it stretches the forum, change it. nothing way bright or super ugly, or something. XD i'm no good at graphics, but if you need a signature, i'm sure one of our members would love to help out. =]

on a final note, any of these rules are subject to change. thanks for reading and have fun!
