Hello everyone! I just posted this to address some issues about this forum and well EXILE English speaking fans around here.

This might be long. I'm sorry if this will sound kinda emotional but it's my way of addressing some stuff with you guys.

[spoiler]I remember the time when me, Lia (alize_sakura) and desshou established this forum. It started when we feel that we need a place other than the blog and a thread at Soompi to gather EXILE fans all around the world. Our objective is not really to provide you guys with EXILE downloads but to gather fans to discuss about EXILE and meet some other fans. So yeah that's why you'll notice there is a post requirement for downloads because we don't want leechers in this forum.

Besides you guys know the situation of EXILE media downloads. Gachapin, one of our biggest provider of videos discontinued mass distribution of their videos outside their clubbox. I already asked permission to at least get their files to be subbed (but of course for private use only). I'm thanking all the people who in their own ways contribute to the media section. I know I'm always late in uploading files. I'm sorry if you find me that slow. ^^;; Don't worry about EXG and EXH episodes that you missed. Somehow, I found a way to get those posted here but don't expect much of the quality. Well at least you got something to watch. If you guys know how to use SHARE (the Japanese P2P software), most probably you can help us get EXILE media. I'm not recommending the Chinese board although they have HDTV files but it's a lot of headache to download what you want.

Next thing, I got a message comparing JE community and EXILE community.It's a big non-sense comparison. Don't compare their community to us like they got so many subbed videos, easy access of files and such things. JE fandom is a big group. Yeah I know they got lots of stuff and we don't. It's because they have a lot of fans who can share with other people. So if you guys want to be the same thing then share. It's actually these past 3 years EXILE really got popular with fans. JE is like what? More than what you can imagine.

About EXsub: You know how much I love to provide English subbed files to you guys. I'm not selfish to keep all the projects to myself and not advertise for other staffs. If I'm really selfish, I won't be really subbing for you guys. It is just that in a subbing world a translator is very much needed in order for the group to survive. I'm thankful for all the translators who helped EXsub. Actually I have been sending mails to potential translators to help EXsub. If we can get 3-4 active translators, don't worry potential timers, I'll contact you. What's the point of having so many timers without a translator? So keep your horses down and I'll contact you when I need help in timing. We have at least 30 videos waiting to be subbed. Just stay tune, they will be released when the time comes.

Some may not like me as the admin/head of this forum and EXsub. I'm sorry if I'm not able to address your concerns or such but I guess I reply to 90% of the PMs and mails that are sent to me. I can't please everyone. If you know someone who can do what I can do here, then recommend him/her to me and I'll make him/her the admin and step down being an admin. Yes, I know I'm rude and blunt sometimes.

My message is that if you have all the time in the world to complain, you should just spend it sharing something in the community. That way you'll become more fruitful.[/spoiler]

Anyway since I'm already writing this post, let me just thank all the people who continually post here. To moshmosh who continually update EXILE Blog. Sorry if I have already left that blog in your hands ^^ Thanks to all people who continually support EXILE fandom.

Requirement:
- must be well versed with Photoshop or any Image design software
- if you believe you can, you can send me a samples of your work.

2. Translators for EXsub
Requirement:
- must be fluent in Japanese (spoken and written)
- able to provide scripts
- no need to be versed with Aegisub.

3. Blog Staff
- must know how Wordpress works
- must be able how to get news from sources

I agree that you're doing an amazing job as admin here ! ! ! As for the JE comparison to EXILE, it's unfathomable to me D:!
EXILE themselves are not idols of any sort nor would they want to be, they're entertainers ! !

The entire media in Japan does have strings being pulled by JE itself, so I wouldn't be surprised there's as much media surrounding JE as opposed to EXILE.

EXILE itself was about to be gone (rumored from fans and such with SHUN leaving, etc.) in 2006 before second phase, so it's been 3 years since so they're just picking right back up and going beyond.

Point is, JE has been in the business since early 80's (or even earlier D:) so they'll definitely have much more resources for media / fans. To be considered a threat and compared to JE's is actually a compliment in my opinion cause EXILE did it on their very own and progressed so much in the past 3 years that they get this sort of recognition. Now we just need to get much more fans.

As for contributing, there's nothing I can really do (my japanese is definitely sub-par compared to everyone else.) In my own efforts, I can just post updates however I can pertaining to EXILE itself (I just stalk their website / tudou / tokyograph / youtube / blogs :X.) Sorry if my posts get annoying too :P

Here's to a lovable future (Ai Subeki Mirai E :hehe:) with EXILE and EXILE Fantasyland! ! !

Ehm... first of all, I dunno what I have to say here... but, Gail, you already did a great job for establish the blog, the forum and the community and I think you always will do great jobs for EXILE's Fandom. And even though I don't want anything to change, but yeah... everyone changes as the time goes by. And I know that lately I'm also neglecting the forum and the blog...*self confession* sorry about that. But you're the best admin that I ever know. You may be blunt and strict, but I really don't mind about it. So, don't be worry about it.

And from an EXILE-DBSK-JE fan' point of view about the comparison of the blog and the forum, hum... I dunno what I have to say. But ppl who said it, just ignore them... They don't know how hard EXILE way to reach the top, and also how hard our effort to find EXILE files, the staffs and others.

And as one of the admins, I also would like to say thank you for everyone who helps and supports the Blog, the Forum and also the community. And for everyone who can help us, please contact either me or Gail. We really appreciate it. I really hope that EXILE community will have a long happy life. :D

PS:
After reading Lopka's comment after me about the bluntness and strictness, arrogant and others... I think among the three admins here, I'm the one who really don't have that bluntness, strictness, too flexible, too tolerant, too patience, happy-go-lucky *a.k.a. I-don't-really-care-what-has-happen* and also too nice *probably*... so I think I think a person like Gail is needed on the Forum to make a balance... And I really think why ppl mind with that bluntness and strictness... I really can be extra strict and very blunt sometimes, if my patience runs dry.

First of all, I really confuse also why some ppl can't really follow the simple rules that we already set up and complain afterward. for example on the media download, many ppl asked why the media download is not available on their browser... for many times there were answers that they're lacking on post counts (minimum 20 post counts). And the reason why we set up the post count rules, is because there's copyright rules out there and also this forum is made to be a place for EXILE fans discussion. And I think some of other forums that I know are more strict than us here... for example, only exclusive members who can get access to the media download... then, I want to ask to all of ppl who complains to Gail about the media download access, do you really want us to set up the forum like that?? And about the copyright rules, if the copyright ppl know that we're sharing the files on the forum like this, probably they will shut down the forum and on the worst case probably they will sue us the admins or the contributors... And EXILE or probably Japanese Music Industry will shut their self down from all the foreign fans. Mind if it happen?

And about ppl who rejected on the exsub community, oh, please... we have steps to approve the membership. So if your membership request is being reject or pending too long, think by yourself what you are lacking from the simple steps that we wrote on the community rules. Or should I mention the steps?? 1. Comment at the membership rules by answering the question: "Why do you like EXILE? What makes them different from other groups". 2. click the join button, 3. wait for your request to be approved. Are those steps too hard to follow??

Okay... I know that I will regret to say all this afterward. And I'm very sorry for my bluntness... but I just can't stay silent about it. I guess all the contributors here and also the exsub staffs are very generous enough to share the files that they have. I have many experiences with it.
But honestly, I really appreciate and thankful with everyone who help us on the forum, the blog and also the community. Your helps and times are very precious and helpful at the time when we are unable to manage between our daily real life and fandom life. And also for all the members who always support the forum, blog and community... because without you, we won't be exist or survive. And... above of all, EXILE really needs much of Love, right. :D

Oooh, I didn't know some people had the nerve to complain like that...

I can also recall when we met and, later on, founded the forum. I've been an EXILE fan since around 2004 (boy, lonely EXILE fandom years ! !) and so, compared to that, this forum is pretty recent. Moreover, it was the only place back then for international (speaking English) EXILE fans to meet and share stuff (and I believe it still is??) Whether it's the best fan forum out there or not, well, a few dedicated people can only do so much.
I'd like to point out that, unlike JE, EXILE are mainly based in Japan in that they don't go around touring Asia, their goods are much harder and expensive to acquire. Although they're super hyper popular right now, that popularity isn't really connected to international fandom at all, and only last year did they start their own TV shows and other works outside the scope of music entertainment. Considering most Japanese people don't even know much about internet and downloading (IMHO), what are the odds of someone actually recording a show airing at 1am every week/ twice per week and sharing it on the internet? The people we find on the net sharing EXILE files are usually always the same few foreigners... Yes, maybe just a handful.
Isn't it amazing how fast someone can get used to obtaining some juicy files and (I would say) hard-to-get info to the point of criticism and demand?

Among the admn, I'm probably the one who has been working too little on the forum and translations. Even if I don't really have much control over my life now, I know I'm doing by best in real life, but it means I fail here, if not in real life as well...
In a way I should apologize and thank you guys for keeping the forum alive ! ! ! ! Also to the special people who always contribute in good ways ! ! ! !

Think I understand Glacial feelings of sharing EXILE(S) files and info, it's the love for them which does that. And if some people living outside Japan arrange ways of getting stuff on their own way, effort, method, money, etc., learn Japanese so they can understand texts and get closer to EXILE, why are there still other people complaining those people are selfish and don't share enough?? Hello??
I guess some children will always envy other children's toys, even if they don't know well what to do with them.
Why should Glacial step down as an admn on her own forum??!! Unheard of.
Actually maybe more bluntness and straightness is necessary with some (and here the adjective used in all its rightness) arrogant and selfish brats. Actually maybe even those people don't deserve any kind of reply but a kick in the head.

I'm also sorry for being this blunt with my opinion, didn't mean to write this much either, but I guess not all is love and peace.. in Exile Fantasy Land . .

desshou > Actually you are right about that. Who in Japan will record shows at 1 am regularly and share to us when in fact most of the Japanese do not know the meaning of downloading and uploading XD We 2 have been fans since 2004. Haha good old lonely EXILE fandom years.

I really wonder when will Invisionfree notice my petition to change server and upgrade the forum? :hmm: I guess that will take some more weeks.

Good news guys, so far I managed to gather around 3-5 translators (shooQie, desshou, yuuka + 2 more new translators) Now I'm going to need a timer. Please continue "to pray" that the major projects will push through at least before 2009 ends. Who knows your much awaited videos will get subbed soon? XD

Just continue to give the support guys! Anyway, this place won't survive without us.
