Okay, for a while I've been feeling a little discouraged about FI. I haven't had a lot of time to devote to it and advertise or anything. And I haven't had the motivation to do so anyway. I know my summer is going to busy, and the school year will be even worse. But I really don't want to let this site die. So I tried brainstorming last night, and I came up with a couple of options.

1. First Impressions v2. kind of. Anyway, my idea was that I'd kind of start the board over. What would stay the same is that it would be set in the Regency Era in a small town (probably still Middleton.) It wouldn't be a Jane Austen board any more, because it is difficult to play the canons and out, especially since some come and go. You guys could keep any characters you wanted, even the canons. They just wouldn't be those characters. (does that make sense?) I'd hire more staff and we'd tried to keep it as active as possible. My reason for doing this is that it would just be something new, which is a good thing for my short attention span, while being the same old FI; and hopefully, it would get more members.

2. Staff change. Basically, someone who has the time/want to would take over the board. I'd get on whenever I can to post and do staff duties, which probably won't be often. You guys would have my contact information to get a hold of me if something went wrong, though the new staff would have access to the admin CP and everything.

3. Everything stays as is. Pretty much self explanatory. I'll do everything I can to keep it going.

So yes. I hope that all made sense. And your input is seriously needed, because I don't know what to do.

1. I think that's a fine idea, if you want to do the work to do it over, haha. I think a lot of us would apperciate it being in the same vein, however, since we have good plots going. And, I doubt a lot of us want to rewrite bios or anything - I know I don't want to do major overhauls on any characters. But, perhaps expand the board to encompass a few areas? I know we have the central area (Middleton), and then we could have areas for places like Bath, and expanded London so it gives people options.

Perhaps there could be a way that people could live in separate areas and interact in common areas and such? It would give more people who might be interested in a more city environment for RP a chance to join as well, expanding user base, but also keep Middleton and its fabulous residents in tact! It'd definitely be something new and we could have some more fun options for RP.

2. I suck at running boards, or I would offer. I usually end up dropping the ball though because I'm not good at telling people what to do/making rules/decisions. I'm sure some would be willing to step up though.

3. See #1

PIXIEE... first of all, ILY. <333

1. This is a fun idea, however, I'm not sure I want to part with Caroline. ;_; I would be open to renaming her, however, and reworking her to fit another board/plot. smile.gif I think she's one of the only canons with the same name, so other people wouldn't even have to do that much. Sooo... if that is the option you go with, I'm okey with it. biggrin.gif

2. YOU CAN'T LEAVE!!! If you're talking about adding a few new staffies who can keep the work going, I think that's a grand idea... as long as you're not leaving us! I'd be willing to volunteer my time to do what I can. I have some experience working with Invision Free boards and the admin CP. And, as this is basically the only site I RP on, I have time to devote to it.

3. I don't think this idea is that great if you're too stressed/busy/discouraged. D: We all have real lives that are not online, and they keep us busy a lot. We understand that. <33

I think if we combined 1 and 2 it would give us a good place to start!

I'm really glad you guys are leaning towards the first idea. That's really what I'd most like to do.

Jessica: You mean we'd put more emphasis on the other places as well? I think that's a good idea too.

Krissy: Thanks! I haven't really made any choices, but I'll definitely remember that. ; )

Milly: ILY2!! Yes, I want to keep Lucy too, 'cause I love her so much...I haven't decided on the rest of my charries though. LOL.

So anyway, unless anyone has any comments otherwise, we'll go with that?
