eyes -A deep and expressive chocolate brown, almond shaped. Though other's (except Fiyero or Glinda)would say ridiculous thing like: they're blood red and spit fire! She also has very thick and curling eyelashes framing her eyes.
hair color and style -Elphaba's hair is by far her prettiest feature, It's long, wavy and very thick. It also happens to be the deepest and shiniest shade of ebony black. When she was younger, she would wear it in a tight, restricting braid but now she just leaves it down long.

personality - Elphaba was a very... interesting personality. She is very determined, she always wants to succeed and hates giving up on anything. She is also hard headed and stubborn, she simply won't just take no as an answer if there's another way out.She will always put forth an immense amount of effort on whatever she tries and even dedicate her life to a cause. She also has a strong opinion on what she believes is right and wrong.There's no wishy washy for this girl of Oz. She is very clear on what she thinks and believes, on what she sees as right and wrong. Elphaba is also impatient. She doesn't like to wait for things to happen and she also likes instant gratification - that said, on certain things she is able to be patient.. she just dislikes it. Such as studying and learning magic from the Grimmerie and being able to read it. That is a struggle- it takes time, concentration and of course, patience, but she is able to exude that patience when she knows it's a must to be successful.
Elphaba is also extremely loyal. Once she has made up her mind to help you or to be your friend you will always have a friend in her and you will always be able to count on her for anything that you might need and/or want. She will never give up or betray a true friend even if she's not sure she can trust them herself. That's another important point about Elphaba. She is unable to trust. It takes her forever to be able to open up her heart and let people into it, possibly because of her childhood experiences. Probably the person that she trusted most was Fiyero. She tends to keeps a long track record of her own faults and she won't forgive herself or others very easily. She also is a truth speaker and she won't sweet talk you or butter you up. She is completely unafraid to call a spade a spade even in the worst of conditions.

background - Elphaba is the result of an act of infidelity caused by her mother with the Wizard of Oz, though Frex didn't realize that. Being born a brilliant shade of emerald green, she caused quite a shock; the midwife nearly fainted at the sight of her.Her father was absolutely disgraced, how could the Governor of Munchkinland have such a strange looking child? Determined that it wouldn't not happen again, he forced Melena to ingest milkflowers during her second pregnancy to make sure that the next child would be born a normal color. The amount of milkflowers ingested though proved to be fatal and when young Nessarose Thropp was born, Melena died and Nessa had no use whatsoever of her legs. Frex blamed little Elphaba for both the death of his wife and the crippling of Nessarose.
Elphaba had always believed that it was her fault for Nessa being crippled and took great responsibility over her younger sister.The only reason she was sent to Shiz University was to take care of Nessarose.Even under the circumstances, the young woman was exceedingly happy to finally be at the prestigious school, she's a determined scholar and always had a love to learn. Though her happiness was slightly diminished when she learned that she would have to room with one of the most annoying, stuck up, BLOND girls in all of Oz, Galinda Upland of the Upper Uplands. It was an instant relationship filled with loathing and that's all that could be said. Though over time, the two total opposites actually became best friends and Elphaba learned of her quest.
Her favorite professor, Doctor Dillamond, was an Animal, the last Animal teacher at Shiz he was quite proud to admit. Animal prejudice was rising in Oz and Elphaba notice how much Doctore Dillamond was being mistreated by others and wants to help him. At the same time, the young woman was dealing with the strange feelings she had for Fiyero, a Prince of the Vinkus and boyfriend of Galinda. Elphaba tries her best to avoid Fiyero but they have a few intense moments together.
Soon Elphaba's greatest dream came true, Madame Morrible (the Headmistress of Shiz) gave her a letter from the Wizard. It turned out the leader of Oz took an interest in Elphaba's magical abilities after Morrible had sent him a letter explaining the girl and requested a meeting with the ecstatic green skinned girl.
Feeling remorse for the way she feels about Fiyero, and the fact that Galinda (now named Glinda) was so upset about the sudden change in her beloved prince, Elphaba invited Glinda to accompany her to the Emerald City.
After a whirlwind day filled with sightseeing, all of Elphaba's dreams and innocence where crushed with just one meeting with the Wizard. She discovered that not only did Wizard actually know about the Animal prejudice, he was the cause of it! Infuriated and hurt, Elphaba decided to fight against the Wizard's rule with all she had, defying gravity for the first time and leaving her one and only best friend Glinda on her own in the Emerald city. It is that day that Elphaba was labeled as a "Wicked Witch".
The years went by and Elphaba was working hard to help all the Animals, trying her best to tell the Ozians of the Wizard's lies, but they were all too terrified of her to listen. Unknown to her, her father had committed suicide in the mist of his disgrace and Nessarose had taken over Governing Munchkinland. In an act of desperation, Elphaba had returned home to seek the aid of her family, but Nessarose refused to help her. Wanting Nessa to be on her side, Elphaba enchanted the silver slippers that Nessarose wore, enabling her walk and turning them into ruby slippers in the process. She also fixes her sister's near killing of Boq, transforming him into the Tin Man. Nessarose blames Elphaba and so she flees.
Elphaba returns to the Emerald City, planning to free all the monkeys but is nearly tempted by an offer from the Wizard. Her ideals get the better of her though and she quickly runs out, meeting up with Fiyero in the process. The young man refuses to do his job as Captain of the Guard and arrest her, instead he confesses his love for Elphaba and the two of them flee to the forest. They share a blissful moment expressing their passionate love for the other but it's soon interrupted by Elphaba sensing that Nessarose is in danger. She is too late to save Nessa and she and Glinda share angry words in their bitterness, the two woman get into a fight and Elphaba is nearly arrested. Fiyero shows up and orders the soldiers to release Elphaba by pointing a gun at Glinda, giving Elphaba the chance to save herself. She does manage to escape, though Fiyero gets arrested and his sent out to the corn field, strung up like a scarecrow to be tortured to death. Using the Grimmerie, Elphaba manages to save her lover from death by transforming him into the Scarecrow. The Cowardly Lion, the very lion cub she saved back a Shiz, blamed her, like Boq, for his current state of being.
When they join up with a human girl from Kansas and are sent to destroy her, the Scarecrow with them by the Wizard, Elphaba realizes that she is facing a very dangerous threat and feels that her time in Oz was soon over.
Before the group can reach her, Elphaba meets up once again with Glinda and they reconcile, Elphaba begging Glinda to continue what she had worked so hard to complete. Soon the hands of death where reaching for the green skinned woman, in the form of a human girl, her little dog and a bucket of water. She was apparently melted and all of Oz was in celebration but soon Fiyero secretly returns to site off her melting and lifts open a trapdoor. Elphaba climbs out, healthy and unharmed. She wants to tell Glinda that she is fine, but Fiyero convinces her that it is for the best if they simply leave Oz behind. She complies, for a while, but the growing unrest has drawn Elphie back to the woods surrounding Oz, hoping to somehow set the world right again. When actually residing in a place with four walls, she stays at Kiamo Ko with Fiyero.

Two graceful, green-hued hands brushed the length of Elphaba's long black dress. It was her typical outfit, a long fitted floor-length dress and a pointed black hat. It had been the hat that Elphaba's best friend had given her when she had been much younger, much more naive. Elphaba's fingers traced little patterns on the skirt of her dress, unable to sit still as she normally would. Recently, Elphaba had been having trouble doing anything that didn't involve her mind flitting to Glinda. Was she alright? Did she miss Elphaba as much as Elphaba missed her? How was Oz doing under her rule? Elphaba couldn't help but worry. Glinda had never been the best with magic, but she'd always been the best at public speaking and getting everyone to follow orders. Elphaba shut her eyes, wishing that by shutting off the outside world, that she could possibly concentrate on something else, but her attempt was in vain. Her mind kept floating back to Glinda. The green girl certainly missed her best friend, and seven years was much to long to go on having Glinda believing that she was dead, let alone not seeing her at least once.
Elphaba's eyes flew open as a new thought crossed her mind. What if there was a way to see her best friend, to speak with her, to comfort her, to help her, without being there? What if there was a way to get into her mind for a few minutes just to see each other again. Without a second though, Elphaba began trying to think of a spell that could do what she wanted to do. A way to- a way to get into Glinda's dreams. She rushed to a bookshelf in the corner of the room to grab a recovered book of spells that she had managed to get a hold of. Although the spells were not as powerful as those in the grimmerie, she still could use them for what she wanted. Her eyes flitted through the spells written on the pages as a long finger followed along until it finally stopped on the spell that she'd wanted. A spell that could project her into the dream of anyone.
She scurried around the room, her heart pounding heavily in her chest. She wasn't sure if what she was about to do was the right thing to do, and she was sure that she would hear about it from Fiyero later if he found out about it, but in this moment she didn't think any of that mattered. She just needed to see Glinda again, at least once more for old times sake. Elphaba let out a long audible sigh before she began chanting the words of the spell, a mesh of garbled words in a language no longer spoken in Oz in the present day. Elphaba quickly felt the familiar rush of the magic as it flowed from her body, transporting her into Glinda's sleeping mind.
