Hambourne Heights. The equivalent to Beverley Hills. Rich kids, beautiful estates. A place some people can only dream of living in. But there‘s more to Hambourne Heights than it lets on. There are people who live in the Heights who look normal. But they‘re not normal. Hardly anyone is.

it’s an average day here in the heights. No fights, no murders since last week, but I know that it won’t last that long. We all thought that this “New Beverley Hills” was going to be the next best place to live. Now, only the outsiders think that. The “normal” locals here…we know better now. It’s definitely not the next best place to live. Not with all these freak ass mutant people running around with their special powers. They’re called “The Gifted” around here, and the normal humans like me are “non-gifted”. Pfft. Who the hell cares if you’re gifted or not? Apparently someone does, because the Gifted are disappearing. Three of the 13 missing gifted have been located, and are being rescued. The place we all once thought was safe is simply a collection ground for the people who want the Heights to be nothing more than solely non-gifted…All us Heights residents can do is wait. And hide.

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand.
That everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who i am.
I just want you to know who i am

The year is 2012 and the Non-Gifted have been sought out for 4 years. Most changed to Gifted willingly. But things started to go wrong as soon as Sven Waltz came to the Heights in 2008. An extremist, and a Non-Gifted, Sven started to attempt to implant his ideas into the minds of the Non-Gifted. He stated that the Gifted were put here to overtake the world, and destroy everything the Non-Gifted knew as normal. He began to poison the minds of the Non-Gifted, and began irritating the Gifted and their so called “Wise One“, the founder of Hambourne Heights, Caiden Hambourne. Within a matter of months, the Non-Gifted had murdered 17 Gifted, and had infiltrated shoppes, raping and murdering the owners. Caiden had had enough. He authorized the murder of Sven Waltz, and ordered the collection and imprisonment of all the Non-Gifted followers Sven had. At collection, they were given two options: become Gifted, or be slain. Most of the Non-Gifted hushed, and became Gifted. Those that did not choose to be Gifted were murdered and disposed of. Finally, four years later, things have calmed down quite a bit. There are few riots against the Gifted, but they are quickly subdued and dealt with. But now…Caiden is facing another problem. The Gifted are disappearing without any traces or signs. Caiden has put out the desperate plea for an all out search, hoping to locate his precious Gifted residents. The Heights would not exist if it weren’t for the Gifted, and as much as the Non-Gifted hate them, the Gifted are the life balance of Hambourne Heights.

july 4th 2012 -
The disappearances are becoming closer and closer together, and they all have one thing in common: the victims are all Gifted. Families with Gifted individuals are becoming concerned. Hambourne College junior Aedán Callaghan has only just learned of his 23 year old sister Olivia Perchali’s body being discovered. Callaghan (19) spoke to Hambourne Starr press yesterday, and though he’d tried his best to remain calm, it was obvious that the young adult is terrified. The Hambourne Police are trying their best to discover the reasons behind Perchali’s murder, and to bring closure to Callaghan and his family. Olivia Perchali is the first Gifted to be found murdered since the Gifted started disappearing. The other Gifted, and the rest of Hambourne, have been thrown into shock. If one Gifted has been murdered, who are they to say that the other missing Gifted are not also dead? Caiden and Stephan Hambourne are furious, and fighting for the return of the balance in the Heights. There is talk of a single individual being responsible for the disappearing Gifted. Markus Soldon. No one knows if the rumors are true, but it’s sure looking that way. Will this terror ever end?

Dr. Caiden Hambourne and his son, Stephan, are trying everything they can to learn about the disappearances of the Gifted, and are attempting to reassure the other residents in Hambourne Heights. And now, with many of the Heights residents, and even a few outsiders, behind them, they are sure this fight will turn in their favor. Markus Soldon is getting desperate. A few of those who are still loyal to the him have stayed in Markus’s favour by saying they throw themselves in with him. But of course, this is just a cover until the time is right and they can begin to set things in motion to rid themselves of Markus for good. Markus‘s followers are wreaking havoc on the Gifted and Non-Gifted of Hambourne. But with Caiden, Stephan, and many of the Hambourne residents fighting for the balance, there‘s no telling who‘s going to win this fight.
