We're very pleased to say that the guest DJ at HDIF at the Phoenix this Saturday is Darren Hayman. The night will be a "We Love The City" special, with Darren playing songs that inspired the album, while I'll be playing some (but not all) of the tracks from the record. So if you want to find out what Hefner were listening to when they wrote "Painting And Kissing", "The Greedy Ugly People", "The Day That Thatcher Dies", "Good Fruit" and more, we might just be able to help.
Indie song of the week: "Lee Remick" by The Go-Betweens
Soul song of the week: "Fortune Teller" by Benny Spellman
Any requests? What would you like to hear?
See you on Saturday,
