I'm annoyed, I really got into this when they showed Series 1 on BBC2 at the end of the summer, (don't know why I hadn't watched it earlier really), and assumed that they'd be showing the other series afterwards, but it hasn't happened, and I doubt it will with this new Sky channel now having the UK rights. Also it's getting Wire-like where everyone seems to have caught up to the end of Series 4 and is quite happy to tell you things like Don Draper did and you're like "SHUT UP I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!". Will get it out of the library I guess.

Anyway, it's really good, and more than just 60s design fetishism and going "ooh people used to smoke a lot eh"

I've seen five min clips here and there. I think when we've finished this current 24 series we're on, I might suggest getting the box set.

Saw the Eric And Ernie - it was perfection.

Also just catching up on the Sherlock remake from last year. Enjoyed the first episode, saw the second last night, which was OK, but it really feels like it was made for teenagers/the Dr Who market.

Indeed...it's for 8 year olds...

...not a dig (I enjoy a bit of Who) but you really have to watch it through the eyes of a child to ignore the bits that dont work.

Anyhow.. i saw the first episode of Mad Men on saturday. It was ok.. i was a bit hesitant due to the increasingly fashion obsessed Weekend Guardian's "60s design fetishism" about what the women wear in it ("peggy's low slung handbag in grey is SO trend!" etc.) but i found it enjoyable enough in a soap opera kinda way to want to watch more...

...I much prefer Misfits which i was scornful of due to it's "Skins meets Heroes" T4 friendly tagline but it's actually quite witty and exciting.
