Hi everyone
Hope you'll forgive me spamming the boards with a room ad, but where better than to find a nice new housemate? One of our housemates is leaving (to have a baby) at the end of August, so we're looking for someone new to move in. The house is great - really big and rambling, period features, 2 gardens, large kitchen and living room, bathroom with a skylight. It's a 5 bed, currently with 3 girls and 2 boys. The available room is a large double on the ground floor, with a fireplace and doors onto the back garden. Rent is £360 per month, plus £100 bills (which covers cable tv, internet, all bills and communal house consumables). Deposit is £450. I think it will be available from 29 August or thereabouts. The house is technically unfurnished, but there's quite a lot of furniture in the attic and basement if you don't have your own, including beds and chests of drawers I think. There are built in shelves and a clothes rail in the room. We're a 10 minute walk from Brixton tube station, just off Brixton hill (very close to the night bus stop), in a quiet leafy street. Everyone in the house is friendly, we're pretty independent and often out or away, but there's usually someone around to watch tv or chat with if you feel like it. Definitely a laid-back feel to the place, but we try to keep it looking fairly decent. Current housemates work in the arts, teaching, marketing and banking and interests range from cricket, football and fishing to knitting, ,music, festivals and poetry. Bit of a mix really! Here's a link to the gumtree ad, but just message me on here if you're interested http://www.gumtree.com/london/66/43252366.html Thanks! Emma x |
