Ok so i decided to post some of my works which i did in pauses between studying.

Inquisitor scribe ( stunty in some kind of power armour who helps with books and stuff to some Inquisitor). In this pic I know there is some "wrongness" with his bionic arm but I really didnt have patience to re-work it ( since all my work comes straight from the head without using any reference I tend to leave some mistakes beacuse I am bit lazy with redoing stuff ).

This one represents a Space Marine serf probably for some Comander or maybe veteran. Generally a serf which attends and maintaine equipment for SM.

I will try to update my work regulary to this post, so with your C&C i hope I will be able to improve my drawing.

Good stuff, my one criticism would be that its so good that it deserves to be drawn on better than lined note pad paper.

Time to invest in a sketch pad methinks smile.gif

Looks good, I'm a fan of the "not so pig like" looking orks, and this one qualifies.
I'd say the thing thats bugging me about it is that the hands don't seem to fit in with the body well, I'll explain.

Looking at your other work, I'd say you do cartoony quick scetches really well, but the stuff you have posted here seems to me like your working your way over to more realistic looking subjects (measured in 40k relation at least).

When I say the hands on the ork don't fit what I mean is the rest of the ork looks like you were taking that step mentioned above but then you reverted with the hands, or at least the hand on the left.

I like it, but I think with a bit more work and colour it could be alot better.

Thanks for comment Brother Ussell.

Yes you re right I mostly do stuff a bit cartoony and I must admit I didnt try something more realistic (if it turned like that, great tongue.gif ) than usual. The colouring issue maybe stands but I rarely do something in colour i prefer black and withe drawing. This Ork should have more shading (it has none) to maybe stand a bit but this three pieces here were more sketches than finished work.

If I find some time this week I will try to post some new stuff and also I have plan on practicing some work with colouring.

The people are sooo short! haha. Since these are quick sketches during seminars (I used to do that) naturally there perspective issues.. Like the angle of the pillow which looks wrong to me and a few other things. But most of all the people are too short.

Yes I know they are short biggrin.gif I wanted to do them like they were some expandable stunties made/trained for helping imposing Space Marines or Inquisitors. But maybe I done them too short. Now that I am looking at them perhaps I should done them a bit taller.

On the horror. Not bad.

CRIT: Myself I think the horror doesn't look like its supporting its own weight (the relation ship between the hands and the ground), so its kinda floating on the page. Also the very left hand seems wrong somehow.

*tips hat*

I think the horror looks fantastic! Not only the artistic talent that went into it, but as Uzas said, it doesn't look right - which I think is perfect. Such a creature SHOULDN'T look natural, this is trippy-looking without being over the top.

Love your work! smile.gif

With regards to "floating on the page", a tiny bit of shading or hatching around the points of contact with the floor go a really long way towards grounding an image. Take for example this classic image from the Sister of Battle codex: http://images.wikia.com/warhammer40k/image...color_large.jpg All it takes is a little bit of shadow.

Great work on the shading. I always end up using either too much black, or not enough, but you seem to get it just right.
