Huzzah! I'm alive, if atrociously late... I'm stuck with an internet connection that doesn't work and a girlfriend who has few sympathies - still, a quick one here for you guys.

This week's task is to depict someone celebrating a victory. This could be a triumphant Imperial Guard regiment in parade, a Grot hopping up and down with glee after actually hitting something, a Dwarf stronghold drinking themselves to sleep or a Blood Bowl crowd invading the pitch to celebrate their team's victory.

Normal service should be resumed next week!

So it seems... sad.gif

I'll wait until the morning and then update with the new topic (just to help out any last-minute stragglers!)

Mine for the week. Sorry for not participating in some of them. But hopefully I can do more since work is never done, and fun is never enough. biggrin.gif

Schwager: Is that a strigoi vampire? Very interesting concept and nice position of the character probably having a (disgusting) banquet feast.

Striogi: Somehow this picture makes me sad, because the space marine is holding onto the civilian and was killed. Anyway, I hope you would continue with this piece and ink it! I see a potential genestealer character from here for your comics!

@schwager: I'm not quite getting the "celebration" part of it. To be sure, the demon/vampire/cultist/dark elf/whatever it is seems happy, and it's well rendered as always, I just don't quite get it.
- probably my own fault for lack of lore knowledge.

@Russ: wow I evoked an emotional response?? holy crap! thanks!
The genestealer dude is pretty cool, I like him too. He probably has more potential than the dude behind him, but I also like him too.
Re: yours, I always find Orks wearing other army's equip as interesting, though one thing I might suggest is exaggerate his limbs more. the powerklaw looks kind of "weedy".

Okay then, looks liek I was being a bit too "subtle" this week, so here are some explanations:

He's a Dark Eldar, as indicated by the pointy ears, wiring on the arms and shoulders and the little connection sockets placed all over his body.
As for the celebration part... he's having a celebratory drink with/off his latest victim. The only thing remaining of said victim at this stage are a few drops of blood and his left eyeball wink.gif

@ Striogi:
Great work as always. I really like the cultists and the civilian. Not so keen on the marine, though... something about his anatomy seems just not right.

@ russ29:
Very nice sketch. I totally dig how he's just in the process of sticking on the head... if that's what he's doing wink.gif

Schwager: Oops, my bad. It must have been the sharp teeth and musculine features that make me think its a strigoi vampire. And also in the fluff, these vampires only drink blood of victims that were long dead, so the 'body parts' made me think its old food. smile.gif

Striogi: Yeah, the ork is kinda weedy. I don't know why, but whenever I draw something, after I am done with the face I tend to slack at the body. So its a bad habit I need to change.

And Schwager is right, he is pushing the pointy stick into the marine's head. I had intended to draw it such that the marine was still alive when it happened, but then I felt I was over crowding the picture with my lack of skill. biggrin.gif

And as always, forgive the really rough sketch.
