@ Simeon Blackstar: Indeed it is.
@Chris Jones: 1) The leg is a little long, but This overlay with my original reference photo shows the difference isn't too catastrophic. 2) It's an original character of mine used in Inquisitor and is therefore deliberately somewhat unique. However, I did try to make deliberate steps to make the character identifiably from 40k. The rifle is the most obvious part - bits of lasgun, bolter and plasmagun in there. Her armour - although custom made (in her background) - still takes hints from Imperial Guard armour. But don't mistake it for Guard flak armour though, because it's a whole lot tougher. But in the end, it seems like your gripe is more about image composition than the character and her equipment. Image composition is an acknowledged weak-point of mine. Some of my small sketches work well, but my bigger images are less reliable - it's an unfortunate trade off between composition and quality a lot of the time. I guess it means I need to get into the habit of more preliminary sketching to try and mesh the two parts better together. I may try darkening the "background shadow" in the foliage, which hasn't really been adjusted from the original drawing (and I'm sure they weren't that white earlier...) That should help deal with your main issue. Anyway, thanks for the crit. I'm not entirely sure what my style is though, or for that matter, where it's come from - but it's nice to hear someone likes it. |

I've already posted it in its own thread, but I've done a bit of a revision on my entry based on people's feedback.
