That's right folks...
... the topic you've all been waiting for: Girls, Girls, Girls! The members of the fairer sex have far too long been underrepresented in the Warhammer and 40K universes. So this week's topic is for you to draw any character(s) or creature(s) you like, as long as it's female. It doesn't have to be Human, or pretty, but it has to be obvious that it's a female. ---- russ29 has been going really strong lately, so he'll have the honour of posting next week's topic. ---- Have fun! |

I can work with that. I'm supposed to be doing concept designs for a couple of female characters in one of my Inquisitor warbands anyway, so I may either just make sure those are scheduled for this week rather than later.
... or equally, I've got a couple of other ideas I had a while back that I'd rather like to finally get back to. |

WARNING: It is heresy to view upon my picture. Anyway, just a sketch, which took very long since I was playing around with the composition without any source material.
Hope you like my lady eldar. ![]() This topic is interesting, since I've always wanted to do all these funny 40k women posing. Anyway, I might do more if I have more inspiration. |

Hi,
not a sketch, ain't made by me but it is the cover to Starblade and it is a girl. Artist is G. Khar Gorniak (Kharneth at devianart), who was so kind to do all Starblade art. (Check the off topic chatter for the Starblade pdf) |

So here is my first upload. Everyone went for a nice girly art with pretty ladies but I opted for a Nurgle female champion. I am sorry for quality but I didnt have access to a scanner nor do I own graphic tablet so this is picture taken with my camera.

I have something of an apology to make. I went away and thought about something to do for this week.
The problem is, what this topic inspired me to do is not exactly within the normal scope of the KWSG. It has, rather literally, an extra dimension to it. ![]() Yes, in an effort to disprove any doubters of my insanity, I'm attempting to sculpt a 54mm female miniature by the end of the week. Might not manage it by then, it may well not be worth any credit in the great scheme of the KWSG, and it might well cause the universe to implode - although that last one is probably the most unlikely. Whatever happens, I've wanted to do a female commissar model for some time now, and while it wasn't exactly a new year's resolution, I'm trying to procrastinate less this year and just get right down to doing things without letting the fact they may be a challenge get in the way. If you're not in the slightest interested, I'll sod off elsewhere and do it, but it'll still be all your fault. That said, there will probably be sketches along the way. While I've got a rough idea in my head, there are a few things I still need to sort out. |

LAWTS of awesome entries! Looking forward to the sculpt.
Female nurgle is something almost never seen! well done, Alan. Thanks for pitching in, Horizon! Ghillie, nice to see another entry here. Excellent start and good attention to detail! Russ, You've improved so much.. I find it hard to believe you didn't have any reference material. |

A bit of an update.
![]() I'm hoping to have the basic character shape down before the end of today - essentially, that means a couple of tweaks here and there, as well as the obvious points of the feet and breasts. That should let me start clothing her tomorrow. I started this character with nothing more in my head than "Female Commissar". After knocking around a few ideas on Warseer, I've decided that she's a commissar with political duties. Keeping an eye on various Governors, politicians and other servants - the kind of stuff that's far too tedious and mundane for an Inquisitor to waste their time with. With that in mind, I sorted out her attire: ![]() Not exactly combat practical (she is after all to be an Inquisitor miniature), but as her work is mostly official tedium, she dresses for presentation - so I decided that I wanted a parade uniform look, hence things like the knee-length skirt. It'll eventually be backed up with things like polished boots and various brass trim. ~~~~~ Anyway, I realise I should be responding to the other participants. Alan: My libido doesn't appreciate the subject matter in the same way as some other pieces here, but credit to you for going with something more original. I'm surprised at how clean your work is. I'm not actually seeing any pencil construction lines or such - is it that you do without construction lines (I'm impressed if so), that you're just very good at erasing them, or have you taken advantage of something like tracing paper and copied the basics over from a sketch? GhillieSniper40k: A good piece - I didn't much like the whole "pointed teeth" thing of the Masque model (not particularly Slaanesh), so I can go with the more natural face you offer here - not necessarily itself particularly daemonic, but perhaps what we're seeing is an illusion... I'd comment that the "corset" looks somewhat flat and... twisted towards image right at the bottom, if that makes any sense. Russ29: I like it - a lot. It's just one of those pieces that really grabs me for some reason. About the only thing that stopped me being inspired to sculpt a Warlock instead of a Commissar is that I couldn't see that an Eldar warband would get much use! |

There are some construction lines if you look closer. I use them but not so much just to get basic shape of drawing. I m glad that you like idea but I didnt have tima for shading or put some black areas in there. This pic was done in about 20 minutes while i was lying in bed so when I will have some more time I would do some better pieces for WSG. Most pics that I do mostly end up unfinshed beacuse I have habbit to finish it in one go, so if its not done in that "go" it will probably end up unfished:) MarcoSkoll I really hope youre going to finish that sculpt. in time and show us some pics. I wanted to say also that I am delighted that WSG isnt dead, which I was affraid after two weeks delay. |

So there are - very faint though, but that might be a side effect of the camera.
Definitely - if it's even humanly possible, I'll be trying to get it done by the end of the week. If you're interested in that kind of thing, there's some more of my work here. Sgt. Gillmore (the Kasrkin) is probably the best of that set - but he (like the rest) was painted in a rush though, so I've stripped the paint back off again, so he's currently sitting on my workbench waiting for a little sculpting work, then a neat paint-job. |
