Sooo... Cyan has let the community known that they don't want anyone to release any ages, either IP (we already knew that though) or in general. We need to get permission again, I'll bother Kort about that when I see her tongue.gif

From what I can gather, what we do here is ok, but we can't release anything until further notice. That shouldn't matter too much though, since we aren't especially active or far underway. The rest of what we already heard will keep applying, I assume.

Please check this topic if you haven't already.

That isn't to say we can't still keep on with concept work though. I have a feeling that Cyan will now somehow be able to take some official notice of online fan ages, Rand had already said that Cyan would like to releace tools to help with that biggrin.gif

Yeah, concept is no problem for as far as I can tell. Besides, it's not publicly released anyways tongue.gif

I'll look into re-securing permission for the project ASAP. :-)

*joins Stella in the fingers/toes/arms/legs/eyes bit*

I'd be happy for a little activity, though. *beats the dead horse once more*

*one year later*

I take it that we did not re-secure permission. Does that mean that we are not going to be able to go anywhere with this, and thus the board is officially dead? I'd hate to see that happen, since we made what seemed like some real progress with a few ages and I'd hate to see that progress wasted.

I'd like to see the concepts we'd come up with so far continue as well. Prehaps when the official Guild of Writers is established?

Well it doesn't look like it'll happen JUST yet, although I havn't been following the The Guild's section of the Myst Online forums. Too much confusion and nattering. I'll pay more attention when Cyan/DRC start making things with the Guild's more official. biggrin.gif

Um, you HAVE been aware of recent events havn't you LG? unsure.gif

Actually, no. I've just been trolling the past year, waiting for SOMEONE to post ANYTHING.

What is this news of which you speak?

I would like to inform you that there is a new guild of writers website, which includes a forum. Here's the link:

http://www.guildofwriters.com/

There are already many age ideas, and development has even started on some.

Heh, posts. After the move to thewritersguild.net Binary Skies set up for us, Kort made a nice Drupal based site, but the server went away at some point after that and we were left with nothing there. Noone was posting nor interested anymore apparently either so things just died down. These days Kort and I are just working on, well, school and work and so on so it's on what ye call the backburner tongue.gif Recently Kort expressed interest in continuing work on Cogtree, but she's pretty busy from what I can tell. I'll link her here though.

I spoke to Cycreim once in the cavern and asked him if he's interested to resume working on Cogtree. He replyed something like maybe one day, but he didn't look like he's eager to become part of the team again. He also mentioned his extreme business too wink.gif
