Name: Ceriden Anika Doyle Age: 17 Attending Sunnydale High: But of course Good or Evil: Good if you want Role Playing Sample: A small white rabbit leapt across the crack in the sidewalk as the rest of the world began to fade. Everything around the girl and the bunny started to run like someone had turned the heat up and everything was melting. The only things immune to the heater’s wrath were a sidewalk, some grass, a bunny and a girl. Though the two surviving creatures of sentience were in rather different states. The rabbit was trying to decide which side of the sidewalk had the best grass while the girl was panicking. She paced about the two blocks of sidewalk as she reached out, trying to grab the melting world. The liquid universe spilt through her fingers and only screams and nibbles could be heard. That is until a buzzer started blaring and a hand flicked out to stop the sound.
The teenager’s hand, which only moments before had been a victim of world melting, collided quite easily with the simple alarm clock Kyler had gotten her for Christmas so many years ago. The switch demanded two hands at 5:54 in the morning, but it was only getting one from Ceriden. She was still unsure how solid the world was and though her clock was working, so was everything else she feared; bunnies and bunnies eating grass. After fumbling with the damned switch, Ceri gave in and rolled over onto her right side, using both her hands to silence the robotic beast. With it silenced her quite clearly awake, Ceri rose form her comfortable tomb and looked around at the mess she had created.
A number of pictures of countless students at the high school were plastered up on her mirror. Most of the faces were just names and laughs. Ceriden had never really had a close friend and wasn’t really looking for one. (Cordelia Chase, Buffy Summers, that Zach kid and some little red head) she thought as her eyes scanned over the pictures she has put up last night. Though the girl didn’t have anyone who knew that her dad seemed to be in a constant state of insanity and her mother was the only thing keeping the family afloat, Ceriden did have a lot of faces that knew her name. Some of them knew her in other ways and some didn’t know her at all (and with those people that was how she wanted it.) She wasn’t the Queen Bee nor was she the nerdy Red Head who no one remembers. She was the girl that everyone invited to things because she knew everyone, but no one knew her. It was the way she had made it; though sometimes she wished just one person could hear about all the nastiness that her family hid. Someone who could know what Elix was and someone who could deal with the fact that her dad actually needed some help after what had happened last year.
Rubbing her eyes, the girl shuffled across the carpeted floors as she made her way toward the door she had sealed only a few hours before. The unused basketball hoop hung limply as she reached for the simple handle and then it hit; a monster yawn. Her mother claimed that Ceriden woke her up every morning with those damned yawns, though the fact that Ceri usually let her alarm go for a good ten minutes before she actually crawled out of bed had nothing to do with it. Glancing at her post of Al Gore, the young girl blew a kiss and though she wasn’t sure exactly where it landed she opened the door and met her older sister with a young infant in her arms. (Honestly, must she play bitch this early in the morning?)
