Plagiarism is a very big no-no on this site. With allowing people to post their written works her at The Ink Pot, there are rules protecting them. Anything and everything written and posted on this site is copyrighted to the writer. Members who post their fiction are expected to follow general plagiarism rules.

1) The fiction/poetry that you 'publish' on this site must be your own. You MAY not steal or use plotlines from other members on this site or any other fiction-related site.

2) If basing your writing off of some inspirational written work you have found either on-line or in a book, you MUST give credit where credit is due. For example, if you use a quote in your writing, give credit to the person who first wrote the quote, etc.

3) If you have copied someone elses writing from another site here, or from here on another site, you will be banned and dealt with (as well as shunned by the forum-community at large.

It's pretty simple really, and plagiarism is dealt with in every school in every country. If it's not your own idea or written work, don't say it is. Give credit to anyone you borrow from. Do not claim your work as your own unless it is.
