as I am new to the forum I used the help function, because I wanted to know how to
set up a avatar.

I noticed that the help text is almost the same color as the background.
This makes it very hard to read. May I suggest to change the color of the text?

One can chage the color of the text when writing a post. Black letters simply look better, any other would make it look silly.

Ok, I will try to explain again.

I recently tried to preview a post and stumbled upon the same problem.

The background image seems to be almost the same colour as some text, that is generated by the forum.

The file name of the background image seems to be roboto.jpg.

Now if this text is displayed over this image, it is almost not visible. exactly this happens when you try the 'preview post' option.

My suggestion is to either change the font colour or the image.

Possible, but Danius worked his :curse: off to create what we have, with a lot of trial and error. The best bet, in my opinion, is to just highlight what you can't read.

hey, I notice the problematic background texture doesn't load anymore. I think it's better this way.

Maybe just change the text colour of preview posts?

I think I will be able to do that, noticed it myself but never got round to it. I think the problem was that the grey text was needed for something else and the two settings are interlinked, if I can split them I can change the text on the preview etc. to black.

Wouldn't it be possible to just darken the texture and replace it on the server? no coding involved, just photoshop.

But then if I darkened the background, the most important part of the forum - the messages - would be harder to read.
From an aesthetic point of view, I like how it is.

Would it be possible to enable/add more skins and change the settings so that each user can customise the way the forum looks to them? Im finding it really hard reading the text on the metal style background and if the option was available i would use a black skin with white text so that i dont have to wreck my eyes trying to read posts.

edit: Is there a way that the bbcode [bg=colour][/bg] could be enabled?

As far as I am aware, there isn't an option to view different skins. We could add some, but that requires us making new skins from scratch. And since the current skin has had little problems, I'm afraid that thats not something I can do at the moment.

But, to answer your second question, the [bg=color][/bg] tag doesn't work, as we have the [COLOR='colour'][/COLOR] tag instead (which is available from a drop-down list above your message).

Background will be sorted as soon as possible.

Methinks he's working his butt off to scrounge up some cash for a Pro account, to handle the higher load the server's been taking lately. Seems everyone's over being angry and GW and just wanna do IW-related stuff. I know I am, but I have a million modelling projects to keep me busy :)

Yep it pretty much the photobucket account being full. Just delet a few photos & it should clean up or start a second account. Loki sig is on the same boat.

No need for pro account. I have two photos bucket account on the go after this happen, after a while the first one has settle down a bit & got more bandwigth than ever before.

Not quite sure?? :huh: Blackcell not been one since two week ago. Ironwind was not on since 5th March.
No other admin part from myself have been on recently. I merely ban the fake memeber accounts (just evertime the bot word use, we tend to get ton come on the fourm)
