Title: seeking chaos fluff
Rogal Dorn - June 22, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
i need some chaos fluff for an army someone asked me to build for them...for money of course...i need the fluff cus it helps me get the fee lfor the army...he calls his army the sons of anarchy
i need Obliterator Fluff, more defiler fluff, and a bit more on the Iron Warriors personality, as he says that during the 13th founding, they tried using the Iron Warriors geneseed to create this chapter, originally called the Iron Brotherhood

Buy the Codex mate:) Preferrably the old one, more fluff in it, better, and more true.
KingOfFools - June 23, 2008 01:50 PM (GMT)
Storm Of Iron of course. I think in the new codex there is a short story about defilers but I'm not quite sure.
Dreachon - June 23, 2008 03:21 PM (GMT)
He's already hitting one major fluff obstacle, the geneseed of the traitor legions hasn't been used to create new chapters since the heresy by the order of the highlords.
Rogal Dorn - June 23, 2008 05:46 PM (GMT)
not true
The blood Ravens and Brotherhood of a thousand use the 1ksons geneseed, resulting in high amounts of psykers
and the Grey knights use a mix of all the geneseeds
KingOfFools - June 23, 2008 06:42 PM (GMT)
I doubt these are solid facts. there are hints, but are there confirmed facts?
I must say I didn't read the blood ravens books, they are kind of infamous for being poorly written.
edit: oh but i have a good idea for how they could still be made with IW gene seed:
with a little help from the alpha legion! let's say they pulled out a switch, where they exchanged the original gene seed with the IWs. with lots of secrecy and deception no one even knows. HAHAHA :ph43r:
Rogal Dorn - June 23, 2008 06:56 PM (GMT)
well...it is the Alpha's....so yep, it would work

Never read about that, they use a special one but not a mix.

I know those snake headed figures couldn't be trusted.

well in the flight of the eisenstein book
SPOILER ALERT!
its quite obvios Garro is made captain of the Grey Knights, so theirs morts geneseed, and if like i picture it he underwent more training and implants to face the daemonic, including geneseed from all other primarchs, which would be good with the fluff it came from The Emperor himself, as all 20 put together equal him
Dreachon - June 23, 2008 08:01 PM (GMT)
Inquisition that's true but I'm not certain of the GK, it is clear that he'll be one of the first members of the inquisiton.
The book is still a bit grey on that.
blackcell8 - June 23, 2008 08:26 PM (GMT)
Actualy some quick corrections here.
The Grey Knight's Gene Seed is said to come from The Emperor, and Garro was not made from Mortarion, he was a Terran. Also the Grey Knights were founded 'around the time of the Second Founding'.
The Blood Ravens don't know who their Gene Seed is from, Thousand Sons is a theory, not a fact.
Sorry, your talking to both a Daemonhunters and Blood Ravens player here

My nickname comes from the blood of the Ravens on my hands. Utter my name on Omnis Arcanum and you shall know why.
As a Warsmith who has sacrificed untold Blood Ravens gene seed samples to the Dark Gods I agree with Blackcell8, noone knows who is their Primarch, although Thousand Sons geneseed is mentioned, by Ahriman, and by some Inquisitors who don't like the Ravens' hunger for knowledge too much.
As for the Grey Knights, it is clearly stated in their Codex that the are too young for Garro to be the first of them, and that their geneseed comes from the corpse god himself.
Booming voice of an angry Warsmith away, aren't we going OT here?

yes and no, he was a terran, but the Legions had their primarchs geneseed implanted(or so i thought), as they still had samples....and once they were discovered were united with their appropriate legion.
KingOfFools - June 23, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
on Garro I would have to agree with RD, the human specimen was from terra but the gene seed used is from Mortarion.
Rogal Dorn - June 24, 2008 01:10 AM (GMT)
yea, because i remember the instant bond because of the likeness of geneseed somewhere....

Getting back on topic - Yeah Storm of Iron - good source of IW fluff. Dead Sky, black sun - good description of Medrenngard. Old CSM Codex has a good IW write up. This board has a nice members library too.
Hmmm.... Is someone finally seeing the false hood of the corpse god? First he joins a CSM board and now he's asking for IW fluff... Before long, will we see IF's with red corsair crosses???
