Name of Contest: Spring Painting Competition

Criteria of Contest: Paint up one Iron Warrior, armed with either a Bolter, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon, Meltagun, Plasma Gun or Flamer. Send one image to Contest Host of entry.

Prize: A place in the Hall of Eternals, and either a custom banner (for signature) or custom User Title.

I'm in. what are the rules on the model itself? heavily converted, or stock GW parts?

Pretty much anything goes, it's focused on painting, however.

As long as it's one power-armoured Iron Warrior. A Tactical Marine equivalent, if you will.

OH NO! I already started painting a guy...can he count toward this?

Otherwise I am going to have to salvage some minis! Either way, I'm in!

i know i backed out of the competition, but im wondering. i was painting last night and was lookin through my minis, would a company standard bearer be acceptable? i mean he technically could be but i wanna know before i start cause i wanna change his wargear.

Just a standard Iron Warrior, a Tactical Marine equivalent. So either Bolter, Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon, or any of the Special Weapons (not heavy weapons, or Aspiring Champions).

Uh-oh, I may have to change my entry then. Since this is a painting contest it's ok that I use a mini I built some time ago, right?

My mistake for not thinking about that. He had a bolt pistol so I thought he was good to go.

It's cool for him to have a Bolt Pistol, just not an Aspiring Champion.

But to clarify, old models are absolutely fine, you don't have to paint up a brand new model for either contest.

so no icon bearer, crap need to make a new one, oh well didnt get passed the basecoat anyway

is it ok if he has a siege shield?

one of those heavy shields tactical marines can use in siege vanguard lists from Imperial Armour 10, that allows them to soak up more enemy fire.

Seige Shield... I think for this particular contest, no. A later one, perhaps.

Sorry guys but I'm having to bug out of this one, currently RL has hit an all-time low for me and i'm currently on anti-depressives to help me get through it.
Not really in the mood for any kind of painting at all, hope you guys will make some great pieces of art.
