so i managed to get a quick 1750 game this afternoon whilst my missus and spawn where sleeping!! yay!

set up & mission
dawn of war and annihilation game lasted all 7 turns!!
he chose to deploy first! i decided to NOT try and seize the initiative (gasp!)
my prefer contingent arrived (bloodcrushers, 2x bloodletters, herald, thirster)
everything arrives where planned except the bloodcrushers who scatter 9" back towards my table edge!
turn2
he shoots mainly at 1 squad of bloodletters killing 4
his crusader delivers his termies into assault w/ another squad of bloodletters w/ herald
i kill 1 termie w/ my herlad and get wiped - he consolidates back towards the landraider
my thirster assaults & explodes a dread
bloodcrushers move up
turn3
his emperors champion and squad shot and then assault my thirster!!
the emperors champ causes 1 wound and my thirster kills 3 from the quad and insta kills the emp champ
his other shooting wipes outthe remaining 4 bloodletters
reserves
remaining bloodletter squad and winged D.P arrive
everything moves up thirster kills 3 more to no reply
turn4
his crusader moves around to threaten the D.P
2x squads disembark and there rhinos blockade the bloodcrushers advance
thirster kills the remaining marines in the templars turn
reserves
daemon prince
thirster assaults hq bloke and his squad
winged D.P assaults remaining dread
bloodcrushers assault both rhinos
thirster insta kills hq bloke and4 marines for no loss
D.P blows off dreads dccw and takes a wound in return
bloodcrushers immobilse and weapon destroy one rhino
and complete fluff there attacks against the other rhino and manage to stun it!
turns5 -7
his termies assault the non winged D.P and kill him but he wipes them out aswell
thirster kills marines squad
D.P kills dread and gets shot down by remaining marines squad and landspeeder
bloodcrushers re-immobilse a self repaired rhino! and destroy the other one allowing them to assualt the remaining marine squad wiping them out - but not before the soulgrinder turns up and kills 4 with his first shot and then explodes immediately afterwards as a meltagun pops him from close range
awesome game and very brutal
victory in the end 9 - 6 in kill points
my opponent had left was an immoblised rhino, a landraider and a landspeeder
i still had a thirster who'd only taken 1 wound and a full squad of 6 bloodcrushers
even dozy dorns my fanatical offspring took a beating!
I' ve always been drawn to an all-Khorne Daemon army, how does it play? Are the Bloodletters as squishy as they seem to be?
the bloodletters are extremely squishy!
the army plays pretty straight forward really!
you need to be in combat!
its very much an anti meq/marine army
if you get the charge off w/ a unit of 10 bloodletters thats 30 ws5 str5 powerweapon attacks!! from your basic troops choice!
the big boys (thirsters and D.P's) have a plasma whip equivalent w/ 12" range str 7 which is handy to de-transport targets for your letters to assualt - the soul grinder is very handy as he can be upgraded to have a weapon profile that suits most situations and being av13 at the front and side plus av11 at the back whilst also being possessed make him very duarable except to close range melta shots :(
all in all its a very fun army to use and very fluffy, and very rewarding when you beat a powergamer/cheesefest list with a mono god list
bloodletters should really be taken in sqauds of 16 to llow for the inevitable casualties!

Myself own a whole all mono nurgle daemon army. Itīs actually very effective and I won a whole campaign with them in my gaming group , against some good players too. So I can recommend that too. ;)
Well played. Your opponent sounds like he panicked somewhat, in theory he had every tool available to table you; lots of meltaguns to pick off the DP's and Bloodthirster, and the Crusader and Typhoon to make red mist out of your infantry squads. Charge in and mop up whatever is left. If he'd moved the non-immobilized rhino in Turn 5 he could have charged your crushers with two full squads of Sword Brethren, which would have been very bad for your crushers...
