This is just a question I wanted to ask everyone
CAN IRON WARRIORS PACK PLAGUE MARINES, NOISE MARINES or 1K SONS? (i know they have zerkas) Cos I love them, but I also love fluffy armies....so just wondering if they are usable if i am running a fluffy army  -------------------- An Imperial Guardsman, a Space Marine, and an Inquisitor walk into a bar.
The Guardsman says "ow." The Marine breaks right through the bar with his reinforced skull. The Inquisitor accuses the bar of heresy. When the bar refuses to confess or even move despite sustained torture, the Inquisitor executes the Guardsman for failing to defeat the bar in combat. Above is an epic example of how fail the imperium is..... IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT! |

I know/think some ideas have been exchanged on here, as I myself wanted to think of ways to enlist those units.
What I can remember- Berzerkers: These would be trench shock-troopers. Mainly armed with bolt pistol and one nasty melee weapon they rush at their foes to tear them apart, feeding a desire to shed blood. -Build them like any other IW using a berzerker load out. Cover them with a lot of gore (paint and actual bits if you want) since guardsmen are messy when hacked to bits. Plague Marines: Such troops form the chemical corps of a Grand Company. It is not uncommon that biological and chemical solutions are needed during a siege. These Iron Warrior's exposures to such substances have made their nerves numbs to feeling and pain. -Build these chaps with a lot of tubes and wires. Paint their armor extremely rusted and gooey, like the Cleaved near the back of the current chaos dex gallery. Then paint similar effects on the base. Noise Marines: Volume is used as a weapon against defending foes. The ear-drum shattering hum of base and a choir of dissonance sounds drive the defender to new heights of insanity. -These guys will look just like Iron Warriors but armed with sound based weaponry. I would add some bits to their back packs cut from comm gear of the IG to add to the effect. Rubric Marines: Some Iron Warriors are grim and resolute, their mind always consumed with the thought of war. These veterans feel little for much of their flesh has been replaced by machine. *this is a recent idea using someone elses suggestions to make these units with a lot of bionic parts. -I cannot remember who mentioned it, but make these guys highly bionic. -------------------- |
