Hey folks, I've been thinking of ways to protect my forward units when they take an objective, and I was thinking of using lesser demons from the codex. I figure, I could drop them on any unit that may be in some trouble as soon as they're ready. I use a lot of icons so that's no problem. The question is, are they worth it? They look like they are about the same as regular marines with only one more attack but they're save sucks. Do any of you use lesser demons? How effective are they? Do you think they're worth the points?

Do you have the latest WD? The battle report talks about dropping in some plague bearers, unfortunately they get zapped quickly. Methinks that pb's would have been better placed between the objective and the enemy as an obstacle.
I haven't used daemons ('cause as an IW, I don't use such magics), but they could be useful. A surprise arrival of any daemons amongst IG/Orks/Tau/ Eldar would be messy but save your core troops for/on the objective. If you have some daemons, try them out and see if they work. The only possable thing i could think of is useing them as objective squatters freeing up ur power armor clad members to assult or tie up since they really need the cover save. Or perhaps since they count as a troop choice but dont take up a slot. u can feild 7,8,9 troop choices in larger games.
