Hi

I just wanted to ask if any of you lot know if there any info on Dark Eldar. I mean info that 100% happing or that least 90%.

Deal is I'm thinking of starting them, but I would rather wait until the new codex came out. If it going to be a while I might do a army.

Thank

IP

Well we will be getting a new Codex for this edition of 40k, but we're not that high on GWs priority list with with I think Black Templars being the next Codex and after that Eldar. So I think at the earliest we'll get a Codex by the second half of next year.

So if I were you I'd start getting an army together now and just be prepeared for a few changes in the future. thumbsup.gif

Thank

It just I'm wanting to do:
Guards
Go back to DiY chapter
Raven Wing
Orks

With Dark Eldar I'll do them as well. Just I want to have a few armies ready for Grand Tournament as well as try out diffrent armeis. It'll be Guard right now & my DiY chapter. Then x-mas I'll do Dark Eldar/ Raven Wing.

Only thing is need tip for a army list.

Well before tips for army lists I think the first thing you need is the Codex (make sure it says "Update" on the cover) then have a flick through that. And if you just want to have a look at diffrent people's army lists then there are some good examples if you follow my sig.

I'll post my 2k army, but I warn you it's raider happy and sorta typical.

Drop the troops where ya need them to establish a firebase and then harass with the raiders like Land Speeders with Multi-Meltas.

Nearly a 2k force, quite formiddable and can ruin anyone's day with the right firepower, but if I'm facing a certain IG player I know to take splinter cannons instead of those Dark Lances.

Apart from being a Speed Freek Player this army is the shooting version of my 24" inch open topped, light armoured forces. I just move franticly and shoot what I wanna kill, those Incubi are my answer to assault troops, my raiders are my answer to troops in general. The Hellions are a nice distraction when hidden to counter-attack or to occupy something for a turn. The Mandrakes are nice to hold the enemy at bay being able to deploy up to 3 locations when I choose to reveal them. This force is a split, shoot and occupy. This way they have too many targets to split their firepower and their weaknesses seem a little less apparent.

Archon: Balliousitarki
Punisher, Hell Mask, Tormentor Helm, Nightmare Doll
Retinue: 8 Incubi
Punsihers, Tormentor Helms
Raider
Dark Lance

Drachon: Mullashiyanamoy
Punisher, Hell Mask, Tormentor Helm
Retinue: 6 Incubi
Punishers, Tormentor Helms
Raider
Dark Lance

6x Raider Squad: 10
Splinter Rifles, Dark Lance
Raider /w Disintegrator

3x Ravager
3 Dark Lances

Hellions: 3
Hellglaive, Hellion Skyboard

Mandrakes:10
Close Combat Weapons, Splinter Pistols

If I'm doing dark eldar, and I have alot of armies, I want the best characteristic out of them, their speed and firepower. You could do a hth Dark-E-Dar army but you may see them outshined by Speed Freeks, as I've playtested. Perhaps I didnt do them right? Good luck with it. thumbsup.gif

A bit of fresh news on the Dark Eldar front.

For all those in the UK who are intrested in DE be sure to get next months issue of WD as there will be a Dark Eldar Index Xenos entry and possibly a battle report including our beloved spandex wearing bad guys. thumbsup.gif
