I won't lie that I forgot about this game (Dark Millennium right?) I had heard that the game has changed hands from one developer/producer to another. I think the ones who started working on it were based here in Austin.
Has there been any other news on this game? -------------------- |

It's a good move. MMOs are up against such stiff competition it's insane. Remember that, all things considered, MMOs are such a niche market, and MMORPGs have a giant to contend with, Warcraft. That game means most others don't stand a huge chance.
Like most MMOs, this would have a lackluster first few months-year, then turn to play-for-free to gain interest. The problem with MMOs is they are designed to, at some point, make you pay for premium content. World of Tanks, for example, makes it so once you reach a certain tier, it takes countless hours of grinding to progress higher, and once you do? Bam, it costs too much to maintain a top tier tank. Only choice? Pay for Gold. Star Trek Online? You reach maximum level pretty darn quick, leaving you with little else to do than to pay for premium content. Both those, the competition and money-grabbing setup for MMOs, means I'm happy it's decided to just be a single-player RPG. -------------------- |

Interesting, I did not even think of that.
I looked at the Wiki page for it and it states a single player game with multiplayer elements. We'll see how that holds up if they can announce some more info on this game. In the mean time I still need to pick up Space Marine, which I hear is only $15 used at Gamestop. -------------------- |

As long as I get to be an Ork I am fine with the game being converted to a single player experience. I hope it retains some freedom in it like an MMO, but I hope the original idea of Space Marine being only Black Templars doesnt stick because that is just terrible much like Space Marine forcing us to be Ultrasmurfs in the Campaign

Now I believe the entire project may be scrapped because Sega just bought Relic. Just an assumption based on the fact that Sega doesn't seem to have much money in the 1st place and then they go and spend a mega-ton on Relic's purchase. Doubt they will let Relic keep that game at it's current pace
