Well, it has an intro, it's not as good and as long as the original DOW intro, but it's fun nonetheless. It shows da sistas, some pesky IG and stupid tau!

The playable race is DE, I think with all units available later in the full game including relic units. It contains the tutorial and 2 missions all vs space marines.

BTW how this moron has become SM commander is beyond me, the command level is nothing like it was before the heresy with those imperial dogs.

Oh how come? Does he act extremely stupid/incompetent in-story?

Btw are there many in-mission events and dialogue? What are the improvements?

For the intromovie i had hoped for some 'chaos' love this time.

Well the SM commander is very ignorant and foolishly arrogant when his defences are blown to pieces. His defeat is inevitable with his attitude.

The in mission events are I think pretty similar to those in DC in frequency and quality. Can't say much about improvements from the demo, I didn't notice any, but I wasn't looking too closely. Also it is too early to say anything about balance from the demo.

What I would wish for, is that they would implement the changes from the new chaos codex (i don't care about orks much, but someone might). anyway options for CC defilers and oblit heavy plasma and melta would be interesting. Also finally an implementation of the autocannon for infantry would be cool. But i doubt we'll actually see any of that.

I had hoped to finally see some Chaos Terminators... but no.

Hmmm i'm going to keep my fingers crossed Squad Command 2 will be made but with more missions. Due to the lack of them i didn't buy it for psp.

I had the same... thought they would expand a bit more unit wise... the flyer is nice... but since the caps... chaos is not my first choice anymore...

Maybe we will see termies with the next expansion... I mean they will probably gives us some nids the next time. Maybe even a warhound:P

I've read some very negative feedback (positive too)
Apparently bases no longer remain permanent and there are little or no extra 'special' missions or bonusses eventhough the number of battles expanded.
I also read the Sisters of Battle are quite unbalanced and that the air unit aspect due to no AA and only one air unit / side is dissapointing.

Any thoughts on the matter?

As for a new add-on... it'll probably be a full sequel. Dawn of War 2. As the engine can't handle Tyrannids.
A shame that the developer of the last addon, Iron Lore closed it's doors.

I think it is not as bad as most people say. sure it has it's problems, but most of them you don't even notice unless you look for them. Actually if you don't expect it to be better than DC, you probably won't be disappointed. I think it is very similar.

What kind of leader does Chaos have this time in the Campaign mode? And what Legion? I loved the Word Bearer leader in Dark Crusade, which was far better than the usual berserker they used previously (especially in Winter Assault)

its an alpha legion lord again, like in original dow. I think the upgrades look better in DC though.

I played half a campaign with Chaos, but that got boring. I switched to Dark Eldar, and beat it with them, and really enjoyed using that army.

What 'leaders' and 'Legion/subfaction' is portrayed for each side if i may ask?
