Yeah the sponge technique is great, but I can't take credit for it as I learned it somewhere else tongue.gif

The pealed paint effect is made by painting the basecoat and varnishing the model, then it receives a layer of hair spray, and when dry it gets the actual paint. When the painting is done you take a brush and some warm water and starts to scrub the paint of, the hot water disolves the hairspray underneath and makes a flakey effect when you remove it.

i used to use a crackel medium for a similar affect but i never got a satisfying result. ill have to try it though.

Yeah I've played around with crackle medium as well on some other projects, turns out the one from vallejo doesn't really work, but I bought one called pelikaan krakelee and it works great biggrin.gif

And yeah the dayglow colours are so cool, I have the one called acid green and they rock!! These are also UV reactive, so they glow like crazy under UV lights biggrin.gif

I also got a very generous donation of 90 IW shoulderpads and a warsmith models, completely new, not even cleaned up yet biggrin.gif So Maybe I need to paint me a squad or two just to show that my army isn't totally abandoned biggrin.gif

And Mr. Malvolent, yeah I am a bit of a sneaky git ;D I also have a mechanicus force, iron hands, my fists, a gk army and a soewhat large collection of DA (soon to increase) all of them on various wip stages XD I've never been good at finihing projects, but I'm learning tongue.gif you kinda have to when someone commissions you to paint an army XD
