OKAY!
Time we got this going!
It's a week later than I promised, but if you've been with my thus far, you should know by now that I am, in fact, EARLY.
RPG: GO!

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

First off, my char:

Name: Dælbath

Age: Indeterminate.

Race: Dark Elf (Daoine Sídhe)

Sex: Male

Hair: Silver-white

Eyes: Violet
Physique: Oddly tall, but light and frail in appearance.
Height: 6' 11”

Weapon: Wields a pair of blades. In his left hand, he carries a long, gently curved, adamantine blade. In his right, a short main gauche made of carved crystal, virtually unbreakable with the dark blue sheen. Left handed.

Armor/Clothes: Prefers medium leather armor, with defensive metal plates built in to the lower arms, chest, and shins. Usually wears a dark, hooded cloak.

Appearance: A rather striking figure, strange in appearance due to the contrast between his ashen gray skin, deep amethyst eyes, pointed ears, and stark silver hair; He often wears a dark, hooded cloak to hide himself from prying eyes. Always wears a pair of dark blue sunglasses to shield his eyes from bright lights, even at night. His cloak is marked with a decorative border in twisting white designs, interwoven with script in the dark elf language. Keeps his main gauche strapped across his back, while his sword is kept in a sheath at his waist. When not in armor, he usually wears simple cloth garb in gray or blue. Beyond the border on his cloak, the only ornamentation he bears is a silver band on his left middle finger, carved with curved, flowing pattern.

Racial Information (where applicable): Sidhe are dark-skinned and naturally sensitive to light, as they usually live underground. As a result of their subterranean living, their eyes are incredibly sensitive to light, Water elemental, capable of using powerful water magics, and they have an extensive knowledge branching into all realms of supernatural. They are naturally charismatic and incredibly strong-willed, often capable of controlling others through sheer force of personality. Relatively benevolent towards the surface people, they are nonetheless quick to anger at any sign of rudeness or disrespect. Strongly in tune with the universal planes of existence.

Skills/Magic: Very powerful in hand-to-hand combat, using his unusual left-handedness to throw off his opponents. Capable of using his main gauche equally well, for added defense and opportunistic offense. In addition, Sidhe are known to be naturally charismatic and imposing. Being of the water element, he can use its powers to aid him, but rarely chooses to do so. Knows a little lock-picking, took it up as a hobby. Dark clothing and ability to see in the dark make him quite capable of stealth, when he chooses to exercise it.

Personality: While not natural secretive, he tends to conceal himself and his identity from the common man, due to the novelty of his appearance and race. Other than that, he is naturally honest and straightforward, sometimes brutally so. Always good for a bit of humor, he is rather good-natured and helpful. Uses his job to work for the common good, and will never take an assignment he knows to be detrimental.

Strengths: Makes a good ally, though he is not always quick to trust. Strong in his respect of others. Very talented when it comes to matters of diplomacy and tact, and usually knows what the right thing to do is in difficult situations.

Weaknesses: Often too trusting; Once his trust has been got it can be counted on nearly indefinitely. Has a tendency to mistake offenses where there are none. Slightly vain.

History: Dæl grew up in a small border town, meant to act as a buffer between the humans and the realms beyond. As a result, he picked up much of the culture and language from all of the planes around him. For this reason, he was chosen as a messenger to the king, sent out whenever the Sidhe needed a communicator and diplomat with the other realms. However, diplomats are rarely needed in the modern age, so he is often hired by important agents in other realms to act as translator and diplomat for them, as well. As a result, he is well-regarded by leaders virtually everywhere. Realizing his own talent and usefulness, Dæl left the Daoine Sidhe and now works, as he likes to call it, "Freelance". Those who know of him consider him politically neutral, and he is open for hire by anyone who needs his skills and can afford his fee. Because of this career shift, he now works for a select number of individuals, usually running errands for one or another. He's not necessarily trusted by them all, as they know his primary loyalties lie in whoever is paying him at the moment, but he is very well regarded.

Moral/status: Neutral Good

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

"Of course sir. Right this way."
Dælbath stood in the entryway, admiring momentarily the monstrous oak doors that he had just stepped through. They were of marvelous craftsmanship, though the painting on them had faded slightly over the years. The door began to slowly swing shut, and Dæl stepped lightly out of its arc, and began following the doorman as he walked across the clean marble floors. Gently shrugging off the hood of his cloak, he hurried after, pausing only to admire the paintings that lined the walls. The paintings were greatly varied, ranging from medieval portraits to strange, modern abstracts. A variety of statuettes, too, lined the walls, placed seemingly randomly on a collection of identical pedestals. Every piece of art was labeled with a small card, on which some unknown hand had carefully written the details of each work in a minute pen.
"Where can I find your master?" he asked.
"Just up there," the doorman replied, gesturing towards the center of the hall.

The main hall was huge, going the entire depth of the building. The building itself was gargantuan, easily the depth of a football field and wider than it was deep. The main hall split it into two wings, either of which could be reached through a pair of arches on opposite walls. Many of the lights were off this late at night, but odd, bent hallways could be seen beyond the arches before fading into darkness. In the precise center of the hall, a great spiral staircase wound upward and downward. The only light visible was the soft glow of firelight from above, so Dæl began to slowly ascend.
"All the way to the top, sir, he's waiting for you."

Dæl climbed up several floors, the staircase slowly spiraling inward, getting thinner and thinner. Just before he reached the last level, he looked down the center to see how far he had climbed. The bottom could not be seen no matter how hard he looked, so he turned, clutching the balustrade as he climbed the last few steps, through an open door, and into the office to see the man who awaited him.

The top-most floor was devoted entirely to a large, faintly lavish office, which was made even bigger by the large bookcases that extended upward for easily another story. The room was perfectly round, with the stair set in an indentation in the middle. When Dæl entered, the room was practically pitch-black, illuminated only by faint moonlight filtering in through floor-to-ceiling windows that made up a third of the wall.

"I tried to make the lighting as comfortable as possible for you, Mr. Dælbath."
"Thank you, that's quite nice of you to remember."
He took off his sunglasses, carefully folding them and placing them in a chest pocket. At once the room was clearly visible, every detail standing out, lit as if by an eery white light. The man he was talking was sitting in a mid-sized desk, writing a letter with an air of urgency, forming his words quickly but carefully as he wrote with an old-fashioned ink pen. Pausing momentarily, he glanced upward, over the frame of thin, wire glasses.
"Do you have the package promised?" he asked.
"It is here."
Dælbath produced a small box from under his cloak, offering it to the man before setting it down on the blotter.
The man set down his pen and carefully opened the box, extracting amidst a shower of packing peanuts, a small ivory figure.
"That will do quite nicely. And what do I owe you and your master?"
"As of now, nothing. Think of it as... A favor. One we will choose to call upon when there is need."
The man thought for a moment, and then returned the figure to its package.
"Very well. Tell your master I am pleased, and as always, it is a pleasure doing business with both of you."
Dæl bowed deeply, pressing his fists together.
"As with you."

Dæl left the way he came in, through the winding stair and out again through the oak doors. Before stepping onto the sidewalk outside, he took a moment to slip on his glasses and pull up his hood. Inhaling deeply, he stepped over the threshold and onto the cement out front. Turning back, he watched as the the building began to dwindle, like a puddle on a hot day. The building to either side, a pub and a small clinic, began to stretch and slide sideways, gradually filling the hole where the building was. Before it disappeared entirely, however, he caught a glimpse of the sign that was carved above the entrance.

"The Museum of Broken Dreams"

He walked slowly through the harsh glow of a flickering streetlight, wondering idly how long it was till the train out of this town.

~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~

I got tired of all the standard worlds people like to set RP's in... So I invited my own pseudo-modern one. Woot.

I don't intend to make an RPG centered around the museum.... but I really needed a title.
Feel free to take this wherever you want.
And... Go!

She turned around and looked at the figure slowly moving away from her. Did it............come from...........him? She stood there in the streetlight, staring at the leaving figure.

"I need you to go and spy on someone for us Bellethiel Zula. He is a man named Dælbath. Iam sure you have heard of him"?

"Yes... I am familiar with this Dælbath fellow, were can I find him and how shall I get there?'' Asked Bellethiel Zula

"You will take our transporter to The Museum of Broken Dreams. As you are the most familar with this area you can see why we have chosen you."

"Will I be going alone or will I be accompained by someone else?" Spoke Bellethiel

"You will be going alone. This is merely a mission to see what Dælbath is up to. We have heard rumors of him recently and would like to know if they can be clairfied."

"Rumors? what kind of rumors are we talking about?"

"That is for me to know and you to find out, go now and begin your quest. I am sure you need not a gaurd to show you to the transporter?"

"No, I know where it is *Smirks as she walks out the door*"

Bellethiel walked through her city which was glowing with the moonlight as it hit the different buildings, she then came to the transporter. Held her hand on the glowing orb and spoke the secret words and was gone with a flash. Landing on her feet in the middle of the musuem.

She heard foot steps coming down the hall, she looked to the direction and then burst into a frightful speed. She came out side and was standing chest to chest with Mizuki Night.

Mizuki stood there staring at the sprinter. An elf! She took a step back to get a better look at her. A noble perhaps. "Can I help you?" She finally said.

OT: Woo! Surrounded by babes.
Of course, deep down I know that these babes are actually you two, which is really, really creepy.
And TWM, nope, you're doing fine.

Dælbath walked quickly, digging around in his interior pockets, looking for the train timetable. Without warning, he stiffened and whirled around. He felt, at a distance, the gentle influx of the planes bending ever so slightly. Most people would be oblivious to such changes, but having lived next to portals for a good part of his life, he had grown aware of the faint pulling, bending sensation.
There were no public portals around here -- those were kept under close guard at strategically located border cities. Besides, this was a much smaller flux, only big enough for one or two people, nothing like the large gateways used for transit.
Finding the timetable in his pocket, he careful tucked it into one palm while he reached deeper into his pocket, pulling out a small locket. (OT: Dammit, rhyming unintentionally again. And a really bad one at that...)
He opened it, and contained inside was a small, black and white photo of a couple, apparently on thier wedding day, to judge by their clothing. It was old and fading, and one corner had been torn off. He rubbed it gently with his thumb, and a small whisp of blue-black smoke came off, before forming a small cloud in front of him.
"Sir. I felt a Gate just a moment ago, very near to your current location.: he said.
The cloud slowly coalesced, forming a dark, frowning face.
"Ah, yes, we felt it here too, very closeby. I've set Phillip (OT: The doorman, I just realized I never gave his name) down to investigate. Ah, here he comes now.
"Yes? Really? That is most unusual. Dælbath, be on your guard, it seems an Elf has come through, actually gating directly into the Museum."
"Into the Museum? I thought that couldn't be done!"
"We're beginning the process of moving it right now. We had to take all the wards down."
"Hmm... This could go badly. Did Phillip get a look at the Elf?"
"Why.... aaah... Yes, he says he saw the elf, at least a little. We hadn't gotten the lights on yet. It left immediately, and made it out before he could stop it. The elf is outside of my jurisdiction now.
Oh, he says it was a woman... A High Elf, it seems. In armor, definitely not someone sent to just talk. I think that whoever sent her was trying to get to you before you had left."
"A High Elf? Is she still outside?"
"Yes."
"Could they be after the delivery?"
"Doubtful, as she was not sent with a dream to bring her inside. She wouldn't have been able to stay long as it is."
"Damn. Then they're after me. I'm getting out of here."

Snapping the locket shut, he took off at a run down the street. The timetable in his hand said the next train back to the border city was in a quarter-hour... If he hurried, he could just make it in time. The train would still take a few days, but if someone was after him he would need to get there as fast as he could.

OT: Okay, when I was putting this together I realized something. I set up a rather complex, disorganized world in my head and forgot to put it all down so it works. Allow me to do so now:

The world is composed of multiple planes of existence. For simplification, I'm going to refer to the human plane, the one we are all currently on, as the primary plane, in order to explain how it works.
Stacked on top of the primary plane are several element planes. Everything in the primary plane exists in all the elemental ones in some way, shape, or form, but to a varying degree. Magic and elemental control comes from being able to manipulate these planes, and can only be done if a being or object exists very powerfully on that particular plane. When something is powerful in a particular element, they can bend the plane to their will in order to create change.
The only creatures that do not exist in all the planes are, obviously, elementals. Elementals have a single primary plane in which they exist, though they can interact with the others.
The elemental planes are as follows:
Air (affinity: water)
Water (affinity: earth)
Fire (affinity: air)
Earth/Stone (affinity: fire)
Holy/Divine
Shadow/Dark
These are the 6 primary planes that we interact with.

In addition, there are other, more physical planes of existence. One example, is the home of the Daoine Sidhe themselves, a dark, cavernous place, consisting of millions of miles of tunnels beneath the earth, twisted and bent from their banishment from eons ago.
These planes exist within the elemental planes the same as all the others, but are split off from other physical planes. However, due to the nature of planar existence, the are actually metaphysically in contact with the other planes. This is how Gates work; they bend the planes to form a small bubble of Meta-Space that touches two planes simultaneously. Gates are had to just "create", requiring an enormous amount of energy. However, areas with high population density tend to wear down the walls of the planes, creating "stretched" places that allow crossings more easily. Such cities are often built intentionally to house gates, hence, border-cities. Gates usually two-way, as the planes only barely brush against each other. This means that a particular gate in a particular spot usually only corresponds to a single spot on another plane. However, due to the non-euclidian nature of Meta-Space, moving in one realm does not always correspond to moving in the other. Moving a single-loci Gate twenty feet to the right could move you millions of miles in the opposite plane, or it could move you mere inches. However, some places exist in multiple points simultaneously, allowing for more free gate movement.
In addition (again), they are a number of "man"-made planes, considerably smaller bubbles of existence, which have been created by powerful mages for one purpose or another. These planes are much smaller, usually not more than a small continent at best. Being small and artificial, they can usually only be accessed from a select few gate points.

To get into some advanced planar theory, there is also the fact that every intelligent mind contains within itself a small plane. These planes are very minute, usually only a mid-sized island. These planes, however, reflect and in fact contain the entire mind and soul. They are, essentially, the very essence of those to whom they belong. They can be gated to, however, it is incredibly difficult to do without killing the person or completely annihilating their mind. Also, a person always exists entirely within their own mini-plane, and can observe and be observed by anyone who enters. Just as someone who exists strongly in an elemental plane has power over that element, since a person exists entirely within their plane they have near-limitless power within it, supposing they have the mental capability to harness said power.

Hope that's not a lot to take in! I'm sorry!
I have to go now, if I get a chance later I'll put explain the general layout, explanation, and physical laws of the Museum.
Keep on keepin' on!

OT: Hmm kay.... I'll agree aslong as it doesn't affect the stroy too much... Not sure what your getting at with the Elements and wtf do you mean by a plane? like an area?
----------------------------------------------------------

Dælbath started to run, he was faster then a normal human and could see twice the distance. After a short while he took another look back at his pocket watch, he knew he didn't have much time. He started to run again this time enhaling the frosty cold air of the night into his lungs. Each time getting more painful. He put his hands by his side and then thrusted them into the air. All while saying "Acknithir". A jet of blue flame came out of his hands a spirraled down and encased his legs. He now began to run again this time with a much faster pace.

Finally he arrived at the train station. Seeing that it was about to leave he hurridley jumped aboard and took a set in the corner. He was exahausted from running and the spell he had cast. He slowly let his mind drift, until he feel asleep.

Bellethiel and Mizuki ran down the river enbankment and stood beside the rivers edge. The midnight moon glowing upon their faces's.

"My name is Mizuk, I am a..."

"A dragon?" asked Bellethiel

"Yes, how did you know?"

"I know of your symbol. The one on your bracer."

" Ahh yes that would give it away. Anyways what is a high elf doing in the Musuem of broken dreams?"

" I have been sent to spy on a man. Dælbath have you heard of him?"

"...Yes. I am also here to scout out his were abouts.... But what do the elvs have with Dælbath?"

"Nothing that I know of but I've heard of rumors about something of a new kind of Magic. It's supposedly not fully finished but I hear that he is close. The Elvs are interested and would like to know what his plans are for this new invention."

"Ahh. As are the dragons."

"I see, well then shall we get going? We myaswell work together if we are trying to find the same man."

"Yes, sure however if you get in my way I will have to be going my own way."

"As will I"
-----------------------------------------------------------------

*OT Oni do you have a human form as well as a dragon? Please say yes as I don't want to completly have just ruined your character..

As well. Let me know if I've done anything wrong.

OT: Well, she can turn into a dragon if thats what your asking for thats her true form.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mizuki said a few words and began to transform into a fully grown clack dragon, a few red and blue scales here and there. Her eyes became a much deeper blue, and her neck spikes where a deep red, like dried blood. They skipped an area around her back and contiued down her tail. She spoke to Bellethiel though the telepathy.

Hop on. She motioned her head towards her shoulders. The scales won't hurt.

Bellethiel nodded and sat on Mizuki's shoulders. Once she was situated Mizuki launched of and soon began following the train. She would either keep to the trees of fly high enough where she could see it but no body would know she's there.

"How do you hide like this?" Bellethiel asked.

Mizuki gave a snort of what seemed like a laugh. It's night and I'm a black dragon. Consider the obvious.

"I know of that but what about your colored scales?"

People usually mistake them for fireflies in the moonlight.

"But what would Dælbath think or believe?"

I don't know, you'd have to ask him......or I could fly lower to find out if you wish. However he might know he's being followed.

*OT okay good stuff. This is getting gooood :)

----------------------------------------------
"Hmm yes mabye he does know... A guard was sent to investigate after I appeared at the musuem and I think he may have caught a glimpse of what I looked like. I am sure he didn't see you though"

"Hmm, I think I've seen him there before... His name is Phillip if I believe." said Mizuki

"So you are familiar with the musuem then?"

"No, not familiar I've just been there a few times, just seeing if anything new or interesting has been found, cool stuff there ya know?"

"I've never had the time to take a look, whenever I go I have to transport there, and the gaurds are usually there. Plus I can only go at night as the musuem is busy during the day and I think I might be seen if I just pop up out of no where in the middle of the day."

"Yes, I suppose you are right.... There! I think I have found him, down there in the train!"

"Yes I feel it as well, wow that is a huge amount of energy he holds... How can he sustain that amount?!"

"I have no idea but I think we are going to find out"

Mizuki swooped down towards the raging train. She flew up to the compartment were the energy signals were strongest.

"This is the one."

"Alright lower down to the roof of the compartment, I'll jump down from there"

Mizuki lowered down to the roof flying just above it, Bellethiel jumped of and landed firmly on the roof. Mizuki transformed back into a human and landed on the edge of the roof, falling backwards Bellethiel grabbed her beltand pulled her back to gain her ground.

"Thanks, phew that was close".

"No problem"

Below the roof Dælbath awoke with all the commotion occuring on top of the train. Still tired and sleepy he let him self drift back into his dreams.
Bellethiel and Mizuki lowered them selfs to their bellys and peered into the windows into the train. Bellethiel looked into the train looking for who she thought would be Dælbath. As soon as she found him she starred into his eyes, then without warning his eye opened starring deeply into hers.

Bellethiel felt paralized, she couldn't move. With all her might she tried to break free of his grasp, with no avail. Finally Mizuki looked back up and say Bellethiel stuck. She rushed over and grabbed here on the shoulders and pulled her back with all her might. Finally breaking free they stumbled back onto the roof. Mizuki instantly transformed into a dragon and carried Bellethiel to the safety of the Everbreeze forest.

They landed on a patch of soft grass and both collapsed into a deep sleep.

OT: First of all, TWM.
CEASE AND DESIST. (moving my character, please)

I see this was a bad day for me to take a break from my regular rounds... Geez...

I would just like to say, first of all, that if this was a "classic" or "Hard core" RPG section (several of which I have been in before), you would be suspended for a day or two right now.

In more rigid RP forums, you are not permitted to move other people's characters whatsoever. If this means that an entire post is a single line of dialog, so be it.

However, there is no way I am going to hold you to such a spartan code of conduct. I will however, add this: Try to limit how much you control the other characters. You can move them a little, or talk with them, or interact with them, but try to keep that to the minimum necessary to accomplish what needs doing. Now, for the most part, you're doing okay, There's just a few things I'd like to bring up:
QUOTE
After a short while he took another look back at his pocket watch, he knew he didn't have much time.

I have a pocket watch? When did I get a pocket watch? No one told me I have a pocket watch.
Unless I TELL YOU I have something, know something, or can do something, don't immediately assume.
For the sake of the matter, I did actually intend him to have a pocket watch in one of many pockets, as well as a number of other items. However, you couldn't know that. That's my point.
QUOTE
He started to run again this time enhaling the frosty cold air of the night into his lungs. Each time getting more painful. He put his hands by his side and then thrusted them into the air.

Inhaling. Not enhaling. Sorry, pet peeve of mine.
Also, I see no reason for him to be in pain, if he's twice as strong as a human, and is also used to living in the cold and damp. But meh. This part I don't mind so much.
Also, for everyone out there: thrusted is not a word. It's really not. Look it up if you don't believe me. I'm serious!
QUOTE
All while saying "Acknithir". A jet of blue flame came out of his hands a spirraled down and encased his legs. He now began to run again this time with a much faster pace.

Huh. Acknithir is ALSO not a word. Interesting. I've been trying to avoid inventing words, but I really don't mind if you want to invent your character a word.
Key phrase: invent your character a word.
If you'd care to read my character sheet, you'll notice that I use elemental magic. Not sorcery or wizardry. You don't need incantations; Sometimes they're handy, but for little things they're just tacky. It's like putting sequins on a dinner dress: You really shouldn't. It's gross.
Also, he's an elemental specialist. Once again, if you read my character sheet (IN ENTIRETY) you'll also notice he's water elemental. Not fire, or ice, if that's supposed to be some kind of "cold fire".

*continues reading* The convo with Chrono looks just fine for me. A little abrupt, no offense but you'd never make it as an author... But you'll do just fine here.

Read Chrono's post afterwards. You'll notice the conversation flows a bit more smoothly, and what is said makes sense for both of you.

*continues reading*

Okay, the convo in that post is a little weird.
Try this, even though it sounds silly:
Take this convo. Either write it down, print it out, or SOMETHING, but get a copy of it.
Now, stand in front of a mirror, and I want you to carry out the conversation with yourself. Just do it, you'll be better off for it. Comes of a bit rigid, scripted, and more than a little odd... Also, break up your sentences. No one talks in a stream like that.
QUOTE
Plus I can only go at night as the museum is busy during the day and I think I might be seen if I just pop up out of no where in the middle of the day.

My elementary school grammar teacher would have a party fixing that one up. Wow.

I've talked to you... I've seen you type in other posts... I know you're capable of good grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc. etc. etc., so why aren't I seeing it? I can see this potential for AWESOME but I'm not seeing any of it coming out in print... Now, I'm not asking for perfection, but if nothing else, copy your post into Microsoft Word or SOMETHING and run the spelling and grammar check... It'll clear up at least half of that.
Don't hit "ignore" unless it's a proper name or you're 100% positive it's right. I've actually been doing this with all of my longer posts....

Okay, it's looking pretty good... One last thing.
QUOTE

Okay, I've said this a number of times, but I'd really like you to read my character sheet again... I always check other people's whenever I use them in a convo or other interaction.

He's neutral good. Neutral GOOD. I'm not going to go around attacking random elves who are peeping on me. Granted, I'd do SOMETHING, but knocking you both out seems a little extreme.
Also, I already put a big emphasis on how he conceals himself... There's no way I'm going to be sitting in a public train without my hood on. Now, this next part is very important: Assuming I WAS laying/sitting down with my eyes closed in this train... For you to see me at all, lights would have to be on. Bright lights, since humans are always such b*****s about that sort of thing.
Now, if you'll read my character sheet (AGAIN!) you'll notice something very important in both the racial and appearance section... That is, extreme light sensitivity and the fact that I wear sunglasses for precisely that reason. Powerful sunglasses.
It's a brightly lit train. I'd be wearing my glasses. YOU CAN'T SEE MY EYES.

Case closed.

Detail, my good friend, is what makes beauty. God is in the details. I don't remember who said that but that's an AWESOME quote.

I'd just like to add, I'm not trying to be mean... I just tend to be a bit harsh. I'm very sorry for that and any upset or discomfiture I may have caused you.
I know you've been looking forward to me/we/us/someone starting this, and I'd love to see you have fun... But even games have rules, guidelines, and strategies.

*cough cough cough* Okay, I've been working on this post for half an hour. I believe I've dealt with the first issue well enough, moving on.

QUOTE
Not sure what your getting at with the Elements and wtf do you mean by a plane? like an area?

I'm sorry, I'm used to dealing with people who know what I'm talking about... No offense, I just live around ubernerds... lol

A plane is like a separate piece of existence... Sort of a different dimension, but not.

Now, I didn't INVENT planar theory, I just changed it to meet my needs. If you'd like some background info, I can recommend wikipedia.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_%28Dung..._%26_Dragons%29 - Planar rules for D&D
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_%28metaphysics%29 - Planar theory in metaphysics... I'd recommend you start with the D&D one, this one is a bit heavy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plane_%28Magi...he_Gathering%29 - Planar rules from Magic: The Gathering. I took a bit about the planes of existence (not the element planes) from M: TG.

Really, you don't have to worry much about elemental or mental planes, just the planes that have concrete existence... Think of it this way: There's a number of dimensions that connect to each other. Some connect to others through portals, planes, conduits, pathways, or "holes", but they're rather difficult to move between.
High Elves live on their own plane. Dark Elves live on their own plane. I don't know if the dragons get their own plane (Chrono? Any input?) but I don't see why not.
The plane in which we three are currently on is the human plane because that's where the Museum was at the time. I'll get to that in a minute.

Okay, lastly, here's what I promised in my last post: An explanation of the Museum.

The Museum may seem to be in whatever plane it is currently visiting, but it is in fact a small plane of its own. This is what allows it to move about.
No one is entirely sure who built the Museum; It has always been run by a long line of caretakers who are in charge of organizing and maintaining the collection. As its name says, the Museum houses the world's largest and only collection of dreams... Particularly those dreams which have been destroyed or broken. Each piece of art, while it may seem to be stationary, is in fact a living, twisted piece of hope that has been torn asunder by harsh reality... Each piece of art is the remains of a broken heart. (OT: Dammit, I'm rhyming again...)
Many people visit the Museum on a regular basis, as to a normal person, it all appears to be mere art. However, anyone with relative magical talent can feel the latent power in everything contained within.
This is why the Museum was created; While we may not know when or who, we do know why.
Any broken dream can be used for dark, twisted magic. Dreams contain the same life-force as the dreamer who made it, and so, a broken dream can be used in place of human sacrifice. (Technically, any other type of sacrifice too, I'm just using "Human" because it makes more sense.)
Aware of the great danger that this could present, the Museum was built to contain these dreams, and to prevent their misuse. It was created with some of the most power magic in existence, so that no piece could be removed without direct consent of the Caretaker.
For this reason, all of the Caretakers are very carefully selected. VERY carefully.

The powerful wards placed all around the Museum make it great for magical study, for this reason it is often center for dangerous or unusual research. The Museum moves every three months from plane to plane, to allow visitors from all over to visit. It can be put anywhere, and can expand and contract as needed, so nobody actually knows where it will be going next... The Caretaker puts it where he wants.
Admission is free... With donation.

*smiles* This, unlike the Plane rules I set up earlier, I can attribute entirely to myself. I love it, it's one of my better creations.
Still a little bit rough around the edges, I may have to change the universe rules/description as need be, but I think this covers a lot.

*Sigh* I was going to actually DO something, as in do something in the RP, but I've been working on this post for an HOUR and I'm exhausted. Plus, it turns out I'm sick. Whoop-dee-doo.

Keep at it TWM. Don't invent things you shouldn't, invent all the things you should or at least can, and don't forget I'm wearing sunglasses. 8)

Oh, and Chrono, thanks for hanging around :p
Hopefully we'll get OSA and 89 in here too, and of course Oni, and hopefully some new people... Then we'll REALLY be cooking with fire.

EDIT: 4 pages (that is, one solid screen of text).
According to my count, at least.
Woah.

Well, considering my knowledge with Dragon mythology (I use to be a total freak about that for some odd reason) They would reside on the Human plane. With them attacking their livestock, villages ect. ect. But we could have them live in their own plane and have them come to the human plane when ever they see fit to. Your the DM (D&D reference lol) so you decide.

Also, I would like to be able to control my own character threw out the RP

Hmm IC... seems I have screwed this up...

I now have no respect for RPGs... Seeing as you are not allowed to move other peoples characters I find that absolutley retarded.... I thought this was to be a story and everyone contributes to it. However I thought wrong.

You can delete my post and start back were oni left off.. I think it best if I stay out of this.

Or I create my own with my own rules as I think its kind of stupid how you can't manipulate other peoples characters. No offence against you I understand now that that is how it works.

As for my punctuation... I suck at english and I hate it morethen anything else.
I find it absolutly pointless to learn how to Properly speak... .As long as you can understand what I am saying then it fine for me. I do understand that it can be fustrating to read that though.

As for the pocket watch I mixed that up with a time table sorry bout that.
As I said though go ahead and delete my garbage.

O and I also kind thought that seeing as it was night time the lights would be low so people can sleep... But w/e no matter now.

No no no no no. We where only trying to help you out. I made the same mistakes when I first started out. Not that I'm saying you just started or anything but we where just trying to help you out so that you could continue with the RP. And you can still kind of control someones character when In a conversation or something, the actions however, you can't really do that without that persons permission. I see no reason to delete your posts, you just needed a push in the right direction. We don't want you to stop, considering your character is already a part of this story.

You made a few mistakes but every one does every now and then so don't be so hard on yourself. Sorry if we came off a little harsh. (Well, I am...i can't speak for Xen but oh well.)*pats you on the back* Just move on and forget. Now i believe Xen is the one who should continue the story.

I am sorry, actually, I believe I posted an apology in that initial post.

I'm sorry that I said so much... It's not a huge deal. I just got a little ticked (considerably more than I should have).
However, my point remains.

You CAN move other people's characters. If you'd care to read my post (Have you been reading everything? I know there's a lot, I'm sorry, but you really do need to read it all...) you'll notice that I don't mind if you move my char... Just move him intelligently.

And I WILL continue the RPG... TWM, you can stay, if I intended to get rid of or change anything you had on there I would have already done so.
Besides, you don't need my permission to do things. Just don't do dumb things.

*sigh* It's late again and I've got about 7 people breathing down my neck simultaneously. I'll put something up in the morning... Or maybe later.

Ok... Im just about to enter this RPG but I must say a few things first...

@Xen: I understand your points but calm down dude!
@L89: Its k dude everyone makes mistakes... though I dont know why you kept saying I was in the RPG like "let oni continue"... but nvm
@chrono:...nothing

Now for my char:

Name: Ike

Age: 30s

Race: Was human but is now warped into something less than human

Sex: Male

Hair: Raven black

Eyes: One jet black one bone white

Physique: Imposingly tall and has a the wiry physique of a gymnast

Height: 6' 4”

Weapon: Twin hard-crafted pistols, named Yin and Yang. They were forged from midnight steel, taken from the depth of the Darkness plane. The ammunition he uses is also individually crafted and inscribed with broken and twisted hell-runes, which glow with the colour of dried blood when exposed to air. Adapted to killing anything which is not demonic in origin. Holsters are concealed on his back

Armor/Clothes: Wears a long black shirt which discreetly concealed chainmail, also made from midnight steel. Also wears shinguards and black leather wristguards.

Appearance: A shadow, a mystery... you dont see him, he lets you see him. Ike is tall but moves with the fluid grace of a water elemental. Doesnt look it but is incredibly strong for his size. Also wears a black face scarf, black wide-brimmed hat and a flowing trenchcoat.
His skin is deathly white and he has long tribal tattoos inked onto his back. Has freakishly long fingers.

Racial Information (where applicable): Ike used to be human, but dabbled in the dark magiks of demoncraft. He managed to cross over to the Darkness plane and remained there for so long he has become warped and inhuman. The tattoos were a punishment from a demon he summoned and failed to control, and was branded by one of the attacks which were thrown at him.
Could be considered a "proto-human"

Skills/Magic: Extremely good at gunfighting and knows a hybrid martial art which is geared towards restraining his opponent. Knowledgeable on these subjects: medicine, demonology, martial arts, weaponry, concealment, stealth, etc.

Personality: Secretive and blunt. Not a good friend. In fact he doesnt have any. Cruel and arrogant. Confident of his abilities. Just plain mean.

Strengths: Good on his own. Excellent at killing people. Excellent at not being seen. Excellent at spying. Excellent at his job.

Weaknesses: Being a friend. Being sociable. Working as a team.

History: Ike grew up on a farm in the west. His life was good until his 16th birthday when a fire at his farmhouse incinerated all his goods and h=killed his parents and two brothers. In the ash of the house he swore he would revive them no matter what.
From that day onwards he devoted himself to the study of necromancy, but quickly turned to demonology, attracted by the lure of cheap power at such a young age. He quickly worked his way to summoning his first demon, R'arglath the Grevious, who he failed to control. R'arglath fired a vicious attack at him and imprinted disfiguring tattoos into his back, scarring him for life and erasing the memory of his parents and imprinting the lust for power deeply into his mind.
Following this incident Ike delved into aspects of demonology which had laid untouched for centuries, and found out a way to cross onto the Darkness realm. He quickly realised his true power while in the hellish nightmare of the realm and ventured there more and more, bleaching his skin and warping his eyes while he did so.
Having tapped into his true potential Ike spent time training and honing his body to peak fitness, culminating his self-training in the crafting of Yin and Yang. He then set out on his true life calling: an ASSASSIN
He is currently looking for an individual named Dælbath

Moral/status: Evil

---------------------------------------------------

Ike sat on the train, smiling under the shade of his hat.
He was calm, he was smooth
He was the statement of efficency
He was the hunter

He peeked out from under the brim of his hat and spied his prey, Dælbath, staring at the wall through his sunglasses. Or he could have been asleep, it was hard to tell.
Ike then felt a slight rumble in his right breast pocket. Orders.
He reached discreetly into his jacket and flipped open his cell phone - a marvel of technomagic.
The message read: You are not to make a move. Nothing to spook the target. We need to know what Dælbath gave to the Museam. Then you may have the pleasure of killing him.
Make it slow.
Make him pay.
-The Teacher

Ike put the phone back into his pocket and shifted gently in his seat, feeling the train begin to slow undernearth him
They were pulling into a station

But he would wait

He was the hunter

-------------------------

Two things:

1) Sorry to add a past to your char Xen, the "make him pay" thing kinda implies a betrayal or something

2) Also Xen sorry to potentially move your char (station)

AND THERE YA GO

@Oni: Cool, an evil character. not like mine isn't..considering she's still Chaotic, but w/e

OT: Hmmm, I'm going to edit something. Instead of Bellethiel getting paralyzed and stuff, we're still on top of the train.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Geeze, how did I get dragged into this mess??? I was having a nice dinner and heading home for a nice nap when a High elf, OF ALL PEOPLE, came charging at me. NOT ONLY THAT but shes looking for the same guy the dragons are. She gave a silent sigh. But still, I can't shake that felling I got when I passed by the man in the cloak. Maybe that was Dæ.......no. He wouldn't just be walking around.....but hey, I guess I'll just have to find out.

She sat criss crossed on the top of the train and lit a cigarette, then leaned back when she noticed the train slow. "Huh?" She looked over her shoulder and noticed a station. Probably 200 meters away. "Hey, Bellethiel. Theres a station ahead. Watch to see if he gets off." She whispered over.

@Oni, I think you mean someone else when you were addressing me. I haven't posted yet... *mysterious silence* *twilight zone theme*

Anyway, I'm sorry I missed the beginning, busy ya know. And now its gonna be hard with oni being our potential villain, but I'm not planning on going completely that route, just cause some stress on the good characters. I've never been evil before...and I think I'm going to like it... hehhehheh.

So, HERE I GO! I'm planning to stay out of the picture for a bit, so if you could disregard what my character is doing and not move him until we encounter each other at the time and place best fitting my character. I'm merely starting to place him into the picture.

Name: Carl Sands

Age: mid 30's

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Hair: Black, lays flat, bangs are cut at eyebrows.

Eyes: dark brown, almost black.

Weight: 190

Height: 6 foot or two meters give or take

Weapon: Sword, 12th century Viking style. 20 inch throwing daggers gilded with obsidian.

Armor/Clothes: Wears heavy plate mail on upper torso, and lighter chainmail on legs, it looks awkward, but it's what he prefers. Underneath, he wears tight shorts and a leather vest with holsters for 2 throwing daggers.

Strengths: Powerful and skilled warrior, has an easy time telling lies and getting people to trust him. Extremely able thief.

Weakness: Cannot stand alone against powerful foes. While he has great stamina fighting, running away with armor sucks.

Skills/Magic: Decent fighting ability, deathly silent thief.

Personality: Friendly in his own way, but always looking for an angle. Very selfish, and looks to his own gain before anyone else's. If he is challenged in any way, physically or in debate, he is more apt to run away than fight. He always seeks to please so as to keep an edge on those around him, but really doesn't give a d*mn.

Appearance: Seems indifferent, sometimes like his mind is elsewhere but not on anything important, always aware of everything that is going on.

History: Carol was born in the desert. His parent's were proud warriors who had high hopes for him. As he grew up he proved himself an able fighter in the scope of his classmates, and graduated as an average student. Looking for work however, he found issues. It seemed that a warrior worked way to hard for what they received in return. This bothered Carl and he began exploring other options. He was never moved by the concerns of others as his parents had taught him to work with others but to always watch out for himself. It made sense if you were in an army, why can't life be like that? Carl soon took it one step further, putting himself above those he would work with and reaping excess benefits for himself. He found ways to get a larger recompense at the expense of others. Finding wandering villains and outcasts he began using these tools to work with thieves. He started small, and everytime he learned something, he would rob (and use it against) the thief he learned it from. In this way he continued to put himself above his teachers to take all he could from them. Become both an able warrior and a skilled thief, he now looks after himself, receiving the reward he feels he deserves.
His last contact with his family was one where they still care for him, but disapprove of what he is doing. He feels he is done with them and has no inclinations to return to the desert.

Moral/status: Neutral Evil

------

Carl Sands was broke, and on the run.
"Dammit, I haven't picked one that bad in a while, and for what? To rob a fisherman?"

Two weeks before he had taken a job with a man who lived on the ocean shore. The man was from a wealthy family, and Carl agreed to do some work for him if the pay was good enough. Payday came, and Carl was not pleased. He demanded more, and was refused by the man called "Ace." Later that night Carl broke into the house to take what he felt was a just reward, to find only that the man was almost broke, or hid his wealth elsewhere. During his search, he made a grave error. Ace was not asleep; he had gone to town to greet an old friend who had dropped into a gate for a daylong visit, as that was all the rules of his plane permitted. Ace was in the middle of trying to open a small safe containing weapons when Ace opened the door. Carl recovered from the shock long before Ace could even speak and severed his Achilles tendon with his obsidian dagger. But Carl had no idea that the visitor was there as well, and soon found himself face-to-face with a tall man, who seemed almost ethereal. An immense broadsword was held in this man's hands, and it glowed with a bright white light. Knowing this fight was nowhere near even, Carl ran, and escaped the house just in time to see it explode in white flames. Soon, local authorities began to follow him as a petty thief but gave up when he reached the town's gate undetected and began running from an unknown location.

Carl stopped walking under a streetlamp. He looked up at a road sign that told him he was at 2nd and Jacob Ave. he knew that this was near the main road and that he would be able to find work with some "proper" pay. He continued down the street, no worried at the sounds his armor made within the city.

OT: kewl, I'm not intending to rob anyone, just get my idea of a fair share for work. We'll see what happens. please do not "bump into" him, i want to be in control of how he integrats himself into the story, then, as long as you read his profile carefully, you may interact with him. And xen, seeing as you complained about this last time, could you please give these towns names?
ps, anyone pick up on the lfg char referance? im not doing anything with them, just thought that was a fun thing to do. am i right that one plane could be the afterlife xen? and therefore the dead could have influence over the living planes, even maybe visit them?

OT: Yeah I saw that reference lol!

----------------------------------------------------

Ike kept one eye on his quarry as he slowly reached behind him to check Yin and Yang were fully loaded. He was irriated by his orders to detain rather than kill, but he would make the best of a bad situation.
He felt Yin, which was cocked and loaded, and then Yang, which was also loaded. He felt confident, prepared. He knew what he had to do...
if only the train would hurry up...

Bored, Ike did a cursory scan of the area using his demonically enhanced senses. He obviously felt his target, the man was like a candle in the darkness of the pathetic humans surrounding them. But... he also felt something else... something... above him...
But, before he could check it further, the train began to slow significantly, advertisements and names flashing past as they arrived in the station.

--------------

Just wanted to speed things up a little, people dont post until Xen does as his char seems to be the pivotal one here.

"Uh-oh." we have to get off the roof She whispered it to Bellethiel. "We have to get into an empty car." She silently moved on top the train. She found an empty car, opened the hatch and slid inside. "And no we wait."
