There is a nwe drug test law that might come to play in British school where the headmaster can call upon you randomly to havea drugs test. Do you think this is good or bad?
ok, this is my viewpoint on this.
i think that drug testing in schools would be a good thing, but there ARE flaws with this.
called me old-fashioned. i've already done my drug experimenting and don't think that is a worthwhile activity. especially in school, a place where you are supposed to be getting an education that will help you later in life. possibly drug testing will deter students from doing drugs so that they can learn. i can see that the school would want to implement this as a tool to increase test scores, graduation, etc.
but the flaws are that drug testing is not accurate. mistakes are made, things are missed and common over the counter cold medicines and even penicillin will test positive for marijuana, cocaine, herione and amphetamines.
so i don't know what all the new law would cover, but if someone tested positive for a drug, that then an interview and second drug test be administered to make sure that it is truly accurate before any radical action is taken.
yeah thats true, the school would have to understand that a first test cant be used as solid evidence. I jsut like the idea of it acting asa deterrant, and I think that if they do do it, that the day they are going to do it should be kept secret.
Ive never done drugs, never want to, but loads of my friends do, and I think that it would be gd for them.
I have no comment cuse I don't attend in British Schools :P
